  1. Yeah but if you put her off the bridge, would you let her jump from the rail? Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  2. I really enjoy reading your posts more than anyone else on this forum. Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  3. Here's what it is: it's a polarizing, divisive idea that goes against many of the ideals that I feel underpin this sport and that make it what it is. Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  4. Funny statement coming from somone that doesn't have principles of his own. He does, they're just different to your principles. I've noticed that you have a tendency to characterize such people as having "no principles". It's that inflexibility that I think contributes to making people want to argue with you. My 2 cents. Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  5. Why don't you just ignore her instead of obsessing about it. Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  6. I think she's smarter than you. Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  7. Would you say that this analysis applies to the bible as well? Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  8. Would you like to reconsider that statement, or do you stand by it. Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  9. Bingo... I completely agree.. Love it or get the fuck out. That's a false dichotomoy, otherwise known as a false dilemma: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_dichotomy http://www.datanation.com/fallacies/distract/fd.htm Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  10. I suspect that will be my first jump with Mr Cole... Except you'd go up wouldn't you? Or maybe not... Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  11. Because there's no rule for this forum that mandates that he do so. He's playing by the rules. And you, technically, have no right to ask him for that information. Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  12. He was right about the toilets at Perris; they suck. He was also right about the bar, and the tunnel. Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  13. Awesome. Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  14. Getting ready for the rapture? Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  15. vi Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  16. Strictly speaking, your opinion has an inherent bias, however. Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  17. How funny, you're isolationist mentality even extends to such things as this. Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  18. Comparing a good tracker and a bad tracker is confusing tho. All things being equal, pantz > booties. Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  19. Hey everybody! Tom's PIN is 2273! Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  20. How? If you told people you wanted to break your own leg, people who already have would tell you their experiences and that it is painful. Not because they are proud of it but because experience carries more weight than conjecture. Like Bill said, it's the people who weighed in with "you can never understand the pain until you have a broken leg" who've proved his point (to continue your analogy). There's an element of the way they've chosen to reply to his post that comes off as elitist (as another poster put it), whether the person posting the message vehemently denies that they want to be in that "club" or not. The original poster made an observation, and many of the replies fit the exact model of behavior that he observed and described. It's not absolute proof of his theory, but it's certainly illustrative of it. Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  21. Why does that matter? The responses to his post have been the most interesting part about this thread, because they proved his point. Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  22. Cool, Im glad its there, but I was more interested in replying to your post where you talk about feeling responsible and teaching and mentoring and stuff. I noticed in the past you have made several post like that. Now be honest, did you try talking him out of it? Were you the most experienced jumper on the load? If so, do you think that matters at all? I was also wondering where you exited from. Were you close to the pillar or on the pillar? How is the jumper? Did he recover OK? Since you went downtown on this incident, can you please tell us how badly it burnt the bridge during that time of year? In reply to your post about feeling responsible and back to my original question, how responsible did you feel with that accident? Come on dude, this is the practical definition of "passive aggressive". (Something I know a lot about... but hey, at least I can point it out when I see it.) Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  23. It was the assumption that there can be a "last word" on this topic (or any topic), which bothered me. You're open minded, so I'm surprised you disagree. Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  24. You can't ask for a lock just because the poster happens to agree with your views. That's "last-word-ism". Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
  25. No it doesn't. All of those deaths happened. There is no exaggeration. It's not an exaggeration but it is misinformation because the base rate isn't taken into account. People have no idea how many BASE jumps occur which are incident free (and neither as a community do we!). Without that data you can't determine risk. My gut feel is that "the list" does therefore exaggerate the probability of failure. Coreece: "You sound like some skinheads I know, but your prejudice is with Christians, not niggers..."
