    At my local Kroger, every employee is black except the manager who is white. 99% of people riding the public transport system here are black. How do you explain that. I'm not trying to be a wiseass here. I honestly don't see what you are getting at. Is the Kroger store in a predominately black community? Is it a fairly new store? What are you getting at in regard to public transportation? Maybe if you describe the demographics of the area more I'll understand. Walt If you can't afford a car you ride public transport. If you can't find a better job you work minimum wage. My point is that inequality in those areas exists, and the distinguishing factor is race.     Nice qualifier. Yeah. My mom taught me as a child to be considerate of other people. As I've grown up I've learned to have empathy for people all the way over there in Iraq....and to consider how our actions as a nation affect their lives. Funny. I didn't even consider the "on the people of Iraq" part of my statement to be a qualifier. But I guess it is. linz Well said, and empathy is the key word. You referred to the human beings (men, women, and children) who were murdered at Haditha as "statistically insignificant". Your post is perfectly clear. Whether you think the killers should be prosecuted or not doesn't mitigate your statement. That's cold. Psychopathic, even. All you've got is that there might be some universal morals. You might just as well conculde that having 10 toes is the root cause of morals, or having opposable thumbs is the cause of morals, or liking ice cream causes morals. It's a shit theory.     You really have no soul. Pat Works clearly loves freefly (or at least he did when he wrote the book) and put a lot of thought into the book.
