  1. I did not need to see that at 7:45 on a Saturday morning. That is some funny shit! Maybe you could make pins and sell them. www.redpuckerholeproductions.com
  2. "DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMN! YOU JUST GOT KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT!" "Ok, Ok, you wanna play rough. Say hello to my little friend." "That's ok, another qualude, she'll love me in the mornin'." "It's good to be the king." (History of the World)
  3. If ya'll want an easy way to nail this clown contact skydivechick and get the creeps mailing address. Let the winner know what's going on and have her request the buyers address so she can send a personal check. Then, that's ASS. We'll round up about a thousand people and go knock on his door.
  4. What caused this? I'd like to know so I can make sure I never do it. He looked like he was in damn near a full flare but was dropping like a stone. OUCH! Is that a parafoil? Is that at fault?
  5. Hmmm, what does racecar spell backwards? Err, racecar
  6. How long before a name change take effect?
  7. If it were true wouldn't you thing it would be all over the news?
  8. Man you hit that nail on the head! I knew there was something else to the meaning of Back Street Boys or NSYNC whatever gay band he came out of.
  9. Man, you're going in my list or movie reviewers just next to Quade's name Ok, ok, I deserve that. I was just happy to see skydiving. I can't get it out of my mind right now. It was the first thing I've seen related to skydiving. I need to buy some videos. As far as the acting, the megastars like Dennis Roddman and Stephen Baldwin did a superb job. NOT! I think the funniest thing in the entire movie was when "Redline" (Tom Berrenger) collapsed by the pool table after the last delivery. That was the funniest thing I've ever seen. I rewound the dvd 4 times to watch that spectacular display of acting.
  10. Maybe she's afraid of the water.
  11. Well I watched it last night expecting the worst movie possible. I mean anything with any of the Balwin's usually sucks. I actually thought it was decent. I only watched it to see the diving. Can I live on someone's DZ and jump and receive training for free? I'll wash the planes!
  12. Thanks for that first pic! It seems I have lost my breakfast. Oh well, at least I have room for lunch now.
  13. Lol! That's what I did. As an instructor for the last 10 years and diving for about 17 years imagine how much gear I had. I sold enough gear to pay for my entire training plus some. Err, if I would of used it for just training. I had to buy some more go fast parts for my jet ski! Put your stuff on Ebay. People seem to love dive gear there. Some of my stuff sold for more than I paid for it new. Seems odd but there are bidding junkies out there that can't stand to be beat. Good luck and welcom to the sport. I know I can't wait to get back in the air.
  14. I can't beleive I used to play this game on my super computer. The IBM XT!
  15. Dude this post is killin' me! I'm sorry for your troubles but this is some funny shit! I thought I had it bad when my little girl chewed up some of the window sills. Is that a pic of Kody? What is it, a fox? Might make for a nice rug!
  16. $1.89 for the good stuff outside of Houston, Texas. Usually around $1.69 for regular unleaded.
  17. Thanks! Beleive it or not, I have felt completely confortable with everything my instructor has told me. In fact I feel just about completely confortable in the air. I have only been slightly nervous while under canopy around 3-4K. Landing is absolutely no problem whatsoever as well as turning and flaring. Any nervousness I have seems to be about the harness and its potential to break. I know that that would be not likely. I'm sure a couple of more jumps will clear that. My favorite part so far is watching the plane go away in the first part of freefall. Then I really like the freefall. That is toooooo cooool. Oh yea and then landing. Oops, I guess I don't have a favorite part, I love everything about it! Congrats again, I look forward to getting my A.
  18. Hey congrats! Hopefully I won't we too far behind you. I'm going to try 5-8 this week. Good job!
  19. Happy Mother's Day to you! Hope ya'll have a great one!
  20. All 4 of mine were done yesterday and that included the tests and classroom (2 tandems and first 2 solos).
  21. Hello, my name is Jason Theriot and I'm a skydivaholic. I've been lurking around the forum for a while just ingesting all the information I could before I went on with the classes. Since I was talked into doing the tandems first by some of the members here I decided to go and do the first two tandems yesterday which was my birthday. Instead of doing two tandems I ended up doing two tandems, STP ground school, STP 1 and STP 2! Talk about fun! I mentioned this in the safety and training section but I figured a lot of people don't go in their as much plus I needed to introduce myself. Oh yea, just for a little bragging, I stood both of my landings up and acheived an accuracy towards my license. Yeeehaaa. So hello once again to all and I hope I inherit a large sum of money so I can eventually jump with each and every one of you. See ya.
  22. I asked the same question in the training area and compiled several different things that members here told me on why you should do tandem first. It was easy for me to decides, especially since the two tandems I did go towards my license. Here are the things to think of as well as other comments from other jumpers: "Sensory overload is common with first jumps"; "I can see where it would have been MUCH less stressful for me to have done a tandem first"; "students coming off of the tandem progession seem to learn faster, do better and complete AFF with less jumps (less repeats, etc)"; "you'll be acclaimated to free fall (big advantage) and you'll get to steer the parachute while in direct communication with the TM"; "Students learn more faster about canopy control that way". "The tandem rigs have a ripcord that the student can pull. Also the parachutes are set up with dual steering controls. The one thing that you want to know is that you are harnessed together prior to leaving the plane, but there is no reason that you are completely at the mercy of the tandem instructor. You should be an active, learning participant in the skydive, (as much as you want to be). Our dropzone requires two tandems also. We used to offer all options for first jump courses, but it quickly became apparent that tandem was the quickest, safest, and most effective way to introduce someone to the sport. It is an integral part of our training for many reasons. It makes the first solo jump course much more effective, because you are able to truly understand the material that the instructor is explaining after you have made a tandem. Not just by imagining it, but because you experienced it. The advantages of the canopy control learning on tandems are obvious. This allows you a comfort level under canopy that frees your mind to concentrate on the freefall learning objectives more readily."
  23. Daniel was the tandem classroom intructor, Elio was the tandem instructor while Mykel the camera man. Then all of my STP was done by Mykel. Excellent drill sergeant. Very thourough, I will definitely stick with him throught the rest of the student status. I think it is better to know more than not enough.
  24. Went to do my tandem today and ended up doing two tandems, ground school and my first two STPs. All I can say is sweeeeeeeeeet!
