  1. Can't even remember where I read this, but I read somewhere that there was a problem with the Xaos' nose tucking with a hard Front riser input. Does anyone have any experience with this or was that hearsay? Has anyone experienced this with the Xaos near 2.4:1? Thanks. 2. I have recently ventured into the world of Cross-Braced canopies with the Xaos. As for the Riser pressure, I did not notice much difference between that and the Stiletto. HOWEVER, there is a bunch of difference in the Toggle pressure. Seems the Xaos has a much heavier toggle pressure than my Stiletto. This might be an obvious difference by some, but I don't understand it. Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!
  3. Well, I managed to get in 8 jumps with the Xaos loaded at 2.4:1 and I absolutely fell in love with this canopy. Openings were fantastic no matter how I packed it. Thanks to everyone that gave input. All of you have very valid points and helped me out once again. Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!
  4. As silly as that sounds, I'm going to have to agree, lets give someone a chance to deepen the gene pool a little. (*Ok, that was harsh and uncalled for, but trying to get the point across!!!, Sorry) Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!
  5. If this is a Trolling--Not funny, if you are serious-- You are an idiot! And that is all I have to say about that! Fire away! Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!
  6. I am leaning towards buying a Xaos 21 cell. I would like to know if anyone has any experience with this canopy loaded at 2.4:1. I am currently flying a Stiletto 97 loaded at 2:1 and had an opportunity to jump a friends Xaos 78 and I absolutely fell in love with the canopy. Any info would be very appreciated. Thanks. 7. I was on my way to the sunset load at our dz and passed a cop doing 95 in a 65!!! But wait, it gets better, upon being pulled over, I realized that I didn't have my license OR Registration OR insurance info. The cop was extremely proud of me. Almost to the point of takin' me in. I really needed that sticker on my car that says "Drive it like you stole it" cause that is exactly what he thought. Anyway, I wound up getting a ticket for Wreckless Driving, Speeding, (*95 in a 65), Failing to present Drivers License and Failing to obtain Insurance Information. Well, I went to the local Judge here in Cullman Al, (*Whom, for the most part, looked like Jabba The Hut sitting in his chair) and weaseled my way out of all of the tickets besides the speeding, and he took that down to a 75 in a 65. Long Live Jabba!!!! Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!
  8. Wow, pretty serious about that huh? Well, for starters, I did not get hurt other than my pride and being a little sore. I did not get toted off in an ambulance nor do I have a girlfriend to sit at home and bitch to. So!!!! It was a tiny mistake, granted, not many mistakes like that turn out well, but, I feel that I am current enough on my canopy and I DO feel that I am not extending my boundries!!! I appreciate your speech and I have given that speech several times, but I know my boundries, I just tend to attempt to cross them occassionally! No worries man, I am going to be fine! Thanks for the concern though! Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!
  9. I've got some really cool trophies, oops, I mean, scars. Back in 1998, (Please say out loud using old man voice) I was jumping at Mike Mullins place. Winds were rediculous and I had about 300 jumps at the time but decided against staying on the ground. (*Mistake #1) Had a kick ass dive with Alan and Trixie Stephenson. But when coming in for landing, (*Right next to hanger, Mistake #2) I caught a wind Rotor off of the hanger and it collapsed my canopy at about 50-60 feet. The bad thing is, I landed on a friends truck that he just bought and had it parked OUTSIDE of the parking lot so it wouldn't get scratched. (*Well, I didn't scratch it, I just caved it in, I know not funny) I dead centered the roof of the truck, bounced off of the roof, onto the hood then came to rest on the ground, not before I shattered the windshield, ripped off the Antenea Mass, and did some serious "Denting" of the roof and hood. When I came to rest, I looked down and saw that my right foot was turn around 180 degrees. The first thing that I could think of is: "Damn, that isn't supposed to be like that", so I used my "Good" leg, and kicked it over to the way it was supposed to be. (*Mistake #3, but made a really cool cracking noise) Total Damages: 4 breaks in leg, Ankle was like powder and 2 breaks in foot. Total Hardware: 2 plates, 8 screws, 4 pins, 28 very cool staples. "I am not a Role Model" Oh, and 3 months and 1 day later, I was back to jumping with my leg cast on!!! (Mistake #4) Doc was not proud of the pictures that I brought him. But they are still up in his office, so that has to say something. Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!
  10. Hey, I hope that this is not taken as an advertisement, but we are having a $16.00 boogie for Memorial Day and I would like to see a bunch of the DZ.commers come out and hang out with us. Would like to get a face to associate with the font!!! Any of you guys planning on coming? Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!
  11. Well, I was doing much better before I frapped in last weekend, now I have this really cool "Golf Ball" coming out from my leg where I broke it a few years back. I just thought that once you have some titanium in your leg, that it would be reinforced!!! That is not so true. Anyway, thanks for all of the advice. Going to implement some of the suggestions this weekend if I get a chance. 12. Ok, not sure what the hell I did wrong BUT, I "attempted" a rear riser swoop on a Stiletto 97, loaded at 2:1 last Friday, and lets just say that the landing was "Heard" more than "Seen". I am assuming that by pushing out on the middle of the riser is not the way to do it, rather, pull down from the links or push out from the top of the riser. Regardless, my body made a very nice "FLUMP" sound when my trusty Stiletto failed to flare at all!!! I did practice this up high and seemed to have lift, substantial life, but did not seem to have any come ground time. Oh well, I am in one piece and will try a different way later. 19. I wish I could say that "Hee Hee, I was hoping someone would catch that", but I can't, so I am convinced that I too, am a dumbass, thank you so much for being a true friend and announcing that to everyone here! 20. Others that peeve me!!! 1. I am going to take a shit! "Where the hell are you taking it and why are you "Going to Take" something 2. Where are you at? "I am at a place that does not use a preposition at the end of a sentence! I don't got to! "On the contrary, you might want to think about doing it anyway!" 3. 25. Well, as most of you already may know, I played around with several names on here and drove Chuck absolutely crazy!!! I first had "Crawford" which I later realized that was probably the lamest freaking thing I could have come up with, but brain farts are a bitch!!! Secondly, I had "birdman2004", well, as most of you agreed, that was just plain cheesy!!! So, with little to no thought at all, I came up with "Namdrib" which is basically "Birdman" spelled backwards. I am sooooo lame it hurts.
