HUH??? Stick to what you have. Get some coaching on that first. And whoever told you that, watch out when he says "Hey, why don't you try this?" Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!

Definitely getting some video of your landings would be a big help. And as everyone here has agreed, PLF's are key. Also, you may try having a "Mirror Image" on the landing area to mimmick your flare! Take it from someone that has had this happen before a long time ago. I had returned after a severe landing error and was scared out of my mind. But there is always someone at any dz that is willing to help you in this. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. Good luck! Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!

Well, just wanted to let everyone know that the boogie was somewhat of a success.!!! We managed to pull off a "Good Weather Dance" for ChaosKitty. Only problem was, she was unable to attend the festivities for Friday which happened to be the best weather all weekend. Anyway, Sunday turned out to be a wash-out but the party that was given Saturday night somewhat made up for it. Thanks to all that attended and hope that everyone had a great time. Please come back for some more!! See you all soon. Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!

Which 'this' weekend?? Like, 3/25-26, or what?? Dates would help - some of us don't follow the Christian calendar Quote Ok, I will try and break this down for ya! If the thread was started on 3/21/05 and it states that the Boogie will be "This" weekend, chances are, it will be on 3/25-3/27. Wow, upon proof-reading that, I really came off "Smart-ass-ish". SO sorry!!! Anyway, YES, it will be the weekend of 25-27th. Hope you all decide to come down/up or whatever!!! Hey guys and gals, just want to put the word out that Skydive Alabama is having its annual Easter Boogie this weekend. $16.00 jumps Friday through Sunday. I think there is going to be some fun activities as well. More to come as things are planned! Plenty of room for tents, people are welcome to stay at my house as well. I live about 8 miles from DZ so it is convenient! We also SHOULD have plenty of beer but there is always room for more! If you have any questions or need directions, please give me a buzz: 256-339-4115 or you can email me: birdman@swoopyourassoff.com or you can PM me. Please let me know if you need a place to stay and I will make sure I have accomodations for everyone. Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!

I get my daughters back for that now! They don't get up on the first call, glass of really nice Ice cold water finds its way on their face. I have to do this about once a month, but then they usually get up when they hear my footsteps. Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!

This WAS USPS Express Mail!!!! Not sure why THEY had the job of writing the address, maybe they did it by computer and F*#$ED up at that point. Details still flowing in! Will keep you updated. Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!

I will not mention any names here for the simple reason that no one is at fault other than the USPS. BUT, I had a package sent from West Palm Beach, FL to Cullman AL and low and behold, the freakin' package is floating around in Missouri somewhere. The reciept from the shipping is supposedly correct but for some reason, the douchebag at the Postal Service decided to screw up the address on the box!!! So now, I am left "RESERVE-LESS"!!!!! If it weren't for bad luck, I would have no luck at all. Just a friendly reminder that if you are shipping something, either 1: Use UPS or 2: Be sure to have plenty of insurance. Now I am forced to wait for the package to be sent BACK to West Palm Beach, then get sent AGAIN to my location, (*Hopefully using a different form of shipping) and that is IF no one signs for the damn thing in Missouri!!!! I swear, if something were to go smoothly for me, I would have a freakin' heart attack!!!! Oh, and please allow me to add that "What goes around, comes around". I made this very mistake last week sending a Money order back to someone. So, I guess that saying is totally correct. I just hate that I just now thought about that. Here again, I shouldn't admit this on a public forum, but I squawled like a damn beyotch!!!! Really got in touch with my feminine side! As a matter of fact, I think I let it over ride all of the testerone for quite a while! Sad isn't it? Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!

Absolutely awesome movie. Starts out really slow, but then picks up. Well, I liked it anyway. But then again, I liked The Notebook!!! Actually watched that one without a woman present. Ok, have to submit my words on this. First of all, there were several people on here that agree that you can still fly fast with the 120's, 135's and 150's. I think that you should have mention more about the wing loading on a canopy. But there again, I have come in just as fast on a Sabre 107 or 120 as I did on a Cobalt 95. I currently fly a Xaos 78 loaded at 2.4. Why? Cause I like it. The same reason everyone else loads there canopy of choice. I think that everyone here can agree that every single one of us is different. IF you like being conservative, then stay at a lower wing loading, I have nothing against that. Then there are people like myself that prefer higher wing loading. There is nothing wrong with that either, just as long as you didn't do it quickly. There is a very infomative article in the "Safety" section of this website. It is called "Downsizing Checklist". I actually presented this for our safety day meeting last weekend. It is very informative and gives people an idea of what should happen before you take a stupid step to something you can not handle. I, personally, have over 1,400 jumps on a what most people would call a "High Performance Wing Loading". I have made mistakes in the past and I am sure that I will make some in the future. That is what learning is all about. In the infamous words of someone that I jumped with this past weekend, (*And if you see this, you will see that I REALLY like this saying) "If you are going to Stupid, you better be tough"... Go Sonic Beef!!! Now, feel free to flog the freakin' bloody hell outta me, I can take it. Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!

I am a whopping 24 with 10 years experience!!! (*That is 34 for all of you guys without a calculator!) I am planning to go ahead with my mid-life Crisis thing in about 15 years, so if anyone has any helpful hints fo me, I would appreciate it if you kept them to yourselves. 35 September 23rd!! WHoooohoooo. The longer I act 18, the longer I'm going to make it. The older I get, the smaller my canopies are! Currently 34 jumping a 78!!! I ROCK!!!!! Divorced and seem to continue making some pretty messed up decisions on single women. Can't seem to find one that isn't 1. Married 2. Psycho 3. headcase 4. F##$ED up 5. slut 6. a complete drunk 7. All of the Above! This is really open for comment for all of those that dare! Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!

I'm going to plead the 5th on that one, thank you very much. And did you honestly offer "Butterfly" as an option? I was unaware that you could have those for pets. Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!

I was waiting for my reference towards the whole snake thing. Just when I was about to say a nice 10 Foot Burmese Python makes a wonderful pet, you call me out. Alex just ate yesterday by the way so it is ok to come and visit him if you would like. As for the Rabbit, it wasn't a good day! Umm, Will have to totally disagree with the ferrett thing, for every pound of food, you receive a pound and a half of crap. Not sure how they do it, but they do. Turtle, low maintenance but boring as hell, cat, they get pissed when you leave them for a long time and piss in your bathtub, know from experience. I'm going to have to place my vote with the Rock. Let me know. Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!
