Just to clarify kelel01's clarification! plan= having an intent to do something plans= having an intent to do multiple things And as for the last sentence, I don't know what the hell you were saying! (*and you know I'm not married, so I'm no use to this poll or thread) Phew, that one had 9th grade English Class written all over it. ***** For those of you that wish to flog me at this point, it was merely a freakin' joke, relax!!! Holy Freakin' Crap, why the hell didn't I think of that sooner. I knew I had too much cheese cake the night before swooping the pond, I am such a freakin' dick. Thanks for the brew aggie! Needed it! Sorry guys/gals, just venting. Get tired of everyone knowing everything. They should all know that I am the one that knows everything. Geesh!!!! I have been an avid reader of several topics here on the forums. Mostly go directly to the Wingsuit forum and right here to the Bonfire forum. Occasionally I will merge onto the Incident forum. That is where my angst begins. I would love to know why everyone that visits these forums believes that they are the expert at everything that goes on. People here are so quick to judge an accident or person. No matter what little information is given, someone KNOWS EXACTLY what happened and has no remorse in offering their opinion about the whole thing. I had perfect proof of it back when I had my accident with the golf cart. Sure, I messed up, I know what happened, I WAS THERE! I had so many people tell me exactly what happened and what I should have done. I even had one guy with less than 200 jumps tell me that if I would have dragged my feet on the swoop, it would have created more lift on my canopy and I would have been able to avoid an obstacle. That was the best one, by far. I guess the point that I am trying to make is this. Not everyone knows everything, people that were not in the harness do not know what was going through the pilots head the time of an accident. People that are in California don't always know what happened in Rhode Island! Sure, you can offer advise, but I think that a lot of people, including myself, could use a little lesson in tact! I noticed that someone on a recent incident topic basically told a person that he screwed up bigtime in a "jumping in high winds incident". When all that happened was AN ACCIDENT! I noticed a big problem with people failing to believe that ACCIDENTS JUST HAPPEN. They are quick to place blame on SOMEONE so they can feel better about exiting their aircraft that weekend. I think as members of this huge family that we call Skydiving, we can learn a lesson from time to time. Seeing as though this message seems to be directed towards the very thing that I am bitching about, I just thought maybe I could help out a little with this post. In the immortal words of, umm, I don't know who said it, but, "can't we all just get along?" I'm sure that bad comments follow, so let me have it. I'm just sick of "Know it alls" on here! People with 75 jumps really don't have a better view of what happened to someone with 2,000 jumps. Now, FIRE AWAY!!! Is Mother Nature Being a Bitch to you this weekend?
namdrib replied to namdrib's topic in The Bonfire
You have no idea how right you are!!! Looks like we are totally hosed for the entire weekend here. I'm assuming that not only is mother nature being a bitch, but she is also on a serious period as well. Man, hitting us hard with cold weather and freakin' windy, rainy days. Could you possibly clear up if Mike Igo is going to have a Mardi Gras Boogie, please. I have heard speculation that he has been worn down with the weather for this time of year and has decided to NOT have one this year. So, any helpful info would be muchly appreciated. I too, try to never miss the Mardi Gras Boogie! Great times. Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!

You know, you still need to be initiated into the P.I.M.P.'s, you know that you can! THEN and only THEN can you introduce another organization, dammit. Umm, as for the other comment, I DO have female Friends, if only I can get them up here from Ft. Lauderdale!!! And Yes, Cullman, AL is THAT bad. Women here are pretty much completely insane!!! Hmmm, that is definitely an idea. She would ask to see the records though. Maybe I can just stop brushing my teeth for about two weeks, get some really good dragon breath going on, eat a few shit sandwiches!!!! I think that Shit breath is the worst! Hell, I've broken up with women for that. Unknowing attempting to take out all 4 wheeled vehicles remotely close to the landing area!

All very very good helpful ideas, only She would DEFINITELY do the 10 kids thing. Kinda scary. As for the Busa, never did/ could go through with that one. $11,000 is a lot of money to just through around. For those of you that don't know, she offered to buy me a brand new motorcycle!!! Couldn't do it, I'm an idiot I know, but hey, she DID buy me a Xaos 78. I was thinking more along the lines of Maybe Sneezing a massive 1/4 lbs. Nose gobblin out on her dinner one evening, that might do it, then ask, "Hey, no sense of wasting that, do you mind if I finish that up for you?" How bout it, girls, would that do you in or what? Kaylen has brought to my attention something that is way too often overlooked and disgarded. I need some help. What is the best way to make a woman LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE!!!? You know, I have tried, "I'm sorry, we just seem to be going in a different direction", and "You know, this just really isn't what I signed up for". I have even went as far as to say "I'd rather stick my head up a camel's ass as to see you one more minute of the day". For some ungodly reason, this chic keeps coming back for more. So, with that said, lets hear some of you guys and gals best "Leave me the freakin' bloody hell alone" phrases! I would like some input from someone that has mucho experience with both, the Skyflyer1 and V-1 Wingsuit. I am thinking of venturing into the Vampire world and would like to know the major differences, if any, between the two wingsuits. Pro's/Con's of both too if you don't mind. Thanks. Left vs right, a theory on approaches
namdrib replied to AggieDave's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Let me just tell you all how freakin' bad I am screwed up: Write: Left Throw: right Pistol: Right Rifle: Left Kick: Left Bat: Left or Right ChalkBoard: Write with left until center, then switch to right! Bowl: Right Landing Pattern: RIGHT-handed 270!! Can't time a left handed pattern to save my life!!! LITERALLY!!! Gonna have to comment on this. Brian brought up a very valid point, those are things that must be discussed. In my experience, I have over a 1000 jumps with a Stiletto loaded at 2:1 and it was great. I fly camera and wingsuit and this puppy never let me down. As far as the swoops, not sure if I just had dialed this canopy in, but I can swoop the hell out of this canopy. I have jumped Crossfire's, Xaos', and Sabre's since. The Stiletto is the one that gives me the best Carve. But there again, probably cause I am used to it. I have since moved on to the crossbraced Xaos and am in love again. I know that there are a lot of people that swear by PD, I am one of them, but beginning to swear by Xaos as well. What does this all boil down to: DEMO DEMO DEMO!!! Can never go wrong. Just know that every canopy is different, take it conservative at first, learn the damn thing, then tweak the hell out of it. Almost Forgot this species!!! The "Need to be Bowling" Species: This is a rare and unusual breed, can be identified by the unbelievable number of Cutaways that they have had in the past year. You know the type. "I don't know what is going on, I had my first cutaway on AFF level 3, and have had 7 cutaways in the last 200 jumps!!!" But for some ungodly reason, they continue on, having their brush with death on a regular basis. Not forgetting that they have been asked several times, "So, how do you feel about bowling, you know, they have made some pretty awesome advances in that sport here lately. Maybe you should give it a try!" They just chuckle and drive on. Let's all raise a glass of Natural Lite to the bold and the brave "Need to Be Bowling" species everywhere!!! Cheers. The Hopinpopenswooper- Easily recognized in the packing area by the unmistakebly small hankerchief that they refer to as "Their canopy". These individuals often get criticized by their peers for adding time to their "Climb To Altitude" so that they can get out of the plane at 5,000 feet in order to continue increasing their skills in canopy flight and making everyone gasp for air when they initiate their 270 hook directly over the most populated area on the DZ. These individuals tend to make certain that everyone at the DZ knows exactly what the wing loading is on their canopy. Most of the time, this is revealed as a "2.something or 3.something" number! Take extreme caution when approaching and criticizing this individual for they can pinpointedly kick your skull in as they pass you doing 80 mph. For the most part, these species are very outgoing, kind and relentless. Just take caution when they hold up their hand and yell "Downwinder"!
