  1. Do you have a single brother in Illinois?
  2. 1st sensible post in the entire thread. Wow- I don't know what to say. Except, I think that honor truly belongs to the Bytch! I'm happy to finish 2nd in this case.
  3. ummmmmm, Kevin Federline comes to mind, or the sister's BabyDaddy. I'm sure there are more..........
  4. QuoteIf you intend to stay with this chick - ............ Seriously, if he intended to stay with her, would he be trash talking her on the internet to strangers and referring to her as this "female" he happens to live with? No advice is required, nor will any real advice be listened to. He just wanted to whine and have people tell him women are evil.
  5. Yeah, I remember buying Springsteen tickets from a scalper outside one of his shows and I thought I paid a small fortune for them $25.00 for the tickets, but face value was $15.00- what a ripoff! Might have been 1981 or so .................. Last concert I went to, I got my tickets directly from ticket master and the floor seats were still over $100.00 each. Tee-shirts were something like $30.00, $8.00 for a beer, $4.50 for a bottle of water. And instead of bic lighters, everyone either waves their open cell phones or uses these fiber optic thingies different sponsors hand out for "free" in the lobby! Yeah, I'm old ................
  6. There's a huge difference between trying new things, being open and flexible and trying to be someone you are not just to please someone else. And besides, most sushi places also serve things like teriyaki and tempura. You're covered......
  7. Well, there's "Christian" which covers Catholics, Baptists, Jehovah's witnesses, Lutherans, and countless other religions ....... and then there is this breed of self proclaimed "Christians" who think they are different, the only "real Christians" and somehow better than the rest of the world because they found "Jesus" and can do whatever they feel like during the week as long as they go to church on Sunday. I understand his confusion.
  8. He's a cutie so I hope everything works out. I had an orange tabby who also had similar problems, minus the diarrhea. Has anyone suggested changing his diet? You can buy perscription food at the vet's office that is specifically made for cats with UTI issues. Its difficult for a vet to get a urine sample if his bladder isn't full when you take him in, but as someone else suggested, you can get a sample from home using the special plastic litter pellets. That's actually a little less traumatic for your cat anyway, although my cat always hated it- mostly because I have more than one, so to get a sample that I knew was HIS, I had to lock in him in the bathroom until he used the litter box. I think he felt like he was being punished. Anyway, like I said, my orange tabby Milo also had a recurring UTI issue and my vet put him on a perscription diet but even with that, it seemed like I was still taking him in every few months for the same problem. After an episode where he just wasn't getting any better after 10 days or so, the vet suggested an x-ray to check for crystals or kidney stones. Well, she didn't find any of that but she did catch something else that turned out to be a pretty serious heart condition. Oddly enough, once his heart condition was diagnosed and he was on medication for it, I never saw a recurrence of the UTI problems. I did eventually lose him to heart failure, but I'll always be grateful to that vet. Just by being thorough, she caught a condtion we were able to treat and manage for several years.
  9. Runny nose and kind of tired? For me, if that's all, working out will usually make me feel better. But that's me-fever, killer headache, etc.- no way. Also, for me more often then not if I've got a runny nose, that's allergies and not a cold. No one else can catch my allergies! I almost never get sick since I started working out regularly.
  10. I was being sarcastic. Sometimes we'll have a friend stay over and we really don't expect anything in return. I'd rather have a buddy spend the night on our couch than drive home drunk. I'm talking mainly about friends who would do the same or more for me. But I do hear you about the "just say no" weekends. Our trailer is also our home away from home so we really don't have an "open door" policy for overnight guests- and I have some "friends" who really do not understand that!
  11. Wow- no one cleans my trailer or brings beer after crashing in my trailer! I'm going to have to start enforcing some ettiquette rules!
  12. "Pig Check" LOL ............... His "thanks" is that his friend's now think he got lucky Saturday night even if he didn't! Seriously, if he's a nice guy, I'm sure a simple thank you is all that's expected or required!
  13. He's awesome! Love the face- looks a little bit like one of mine, and you can see he's got some attitude! You don't see too many "hemingways" up here- that extra toe makes it look like he's wearing a mitten!

He or she definitely ended up in your yard for a reason! Good luck! And bless you for spending your hard earned cash to help the little guy (gal?) out!

Yes, of course I forgot to add that part. Great job looking after the kitty! He or she obviously needed a friend and ended up in the right yard!

I am not going to keep it. I already have two cats. This one should be easy to get placed. He/she is a little beat up. Poor thing. Honestly it is too young for me to tell the gender. I have a vet appt. this afternoon to get him/her cleaned up, get a health check, etc. $$$$ I'll say the obvious and remind you to check the neighborhood for lost cat notices or place a "found" ad yourself. Even though he or she looks pretty beat up, you can tell its a very pretty cat and looks more like a pure bred than a stray.
  17. I thought The Orphanage was great, but it is in Spanish with subtitles.
  18. I think its also possible that she sold or gave the child away but there does seem to be evidence leaning the other way- chloroform, cadaver sniffing dogs? Of course most of the information we get about the "evidence" against her is coming from the media as well, so who really knows?
  19. Is it possible that someone from the media (Nancy Grace show) is anonymously posting her bail and paying for her body guards every time she gets hauled back in to jail on another charge? Strictly for the purpose of stirring up the crowd and keeping the media frenzy going?
  20. Go to the food network's site. (Foodnetwork.com??) Most of Ellie Krieger's food looks really good and fairly easy to make, even if it is healthy! They had another guy known for healthier cooking too, and a low carb guy. All of their recipes should be on the site, and it pretty easy to navigate and look up stuff.
  21. Silly girl- he was drinking it in his coffee, not smoking it! I'd guess 'shrooms but I never heard of mushroom coffee before!
  22. I got a kick out of it ................

Well, if I read it correctly, the link you posted was some guy complaining about a cheap grocery store variation of Chorizo, NOT the "real" stuff. The flavor comes from the seasoning and the fat, and I am sure that some brands and even the fresh chorizo from the meat counter do contain questionable "by products", just like hot dogs and other sausages. But if you object, whatever you do, don't get fresh carnitas from your local Mexican grocery store! They pretty much use the whole pig! My boyfriend is particularly fond of the ears! I was born on the east coast. To this day, one of my mother's favorite foods is scrapple, and anyone who visits New Jersey knows to bring some back for her. Tasty stuff, but I know better than to read the label, and I'm just as happy that we only have it once or twice a year!
