  1. I'm still in shock over last night's Bears game. Yeah, I know Indi kind of self destructed but its been a really long time since I've seen the Bears play that well for an entire game- offense and defense.

    Tripe

Words to live by! Although I know several people who swear menudo is the ulitmate hangover cure and of course, tripe is one of the main ingrediants! I won't eat it no matter how bad I feel, but I've had to pick some up for my ailing boyfriend in the past.

Don't believe everything you read on the internet. The last time I checked, the chorizo I buy in the store did not contain those ingrediants. I'm not sure where pyrodude gets his though. But, keep in mind that pretty much any ground sausage you buy will contain some icky stuff as "filler". I'll eat chorizo because its yummy. Hot dogs on the other hand?????
  4. Well, I'm glad you're enjoying the work you are doing. And lets be honest, all your posts with the 2000+ crunches, etc........? They just made me feel like a slacker! Keep up the good work!
  5. I hope it's better by then! Hmmm zip lining could be a challenge, but I'm sure we could find you a cute single instructor who could carry you!!!! LOL g I did a zip line canopy tour in PV a couple of years ago with my sister and niece. We were joking about deliberately getting stuck in the middle of a run just so one of the guys could come and get us! (they wrap their legs around you and tow you back in, and these guys were ALL really cute!) Oddly enough, it was some young guy who was screwing around and did get hung up right in the middle of the longest, highest run. I don't think he enjoyed the "rescue" quite as much as me or my sister would have!
  6. Its like my hairdresser says- you are lucky to have the option- not everyone does! Enjoy!
  7. I don't know about those body fat monitor scales. I went from a size 14 to a 6, gained a LOT of muscle and my health-o-meter still shows me as borderline obese. The last time my trainer measured with the calipers, it was almost 10% lower than what my "fancy" scale shows. I trust my eyes, the trainer and those calipers MUCH more.
  8. He's a cutie! If it makes you feel any better, I'd probably be a "failure" as a foster mommy too. The last kitten I brought home- I swore I was just going to take him to the vet, make sure he was healthy and see about finding a home for him. Well, he found his own home- with me!
  9. The last few weeks, I've kind of been off my workout schedule- maybe just twice a week instead of 4 times most weeks. Life and work are sort of getting in the way, but I'll get back on track! Thanks for the reminder. These weekly threads really do help.
  10. The over 35 rule is stupid. It really just depends on the style and how toned your legs are- there are girls in their teens and 20s who shouldn't wear minis! I'm 46, I've been spending a lot of time at the gym and my legs look pretty good if I do say so myself! I worked hard for these legs and I'll show them off if I want to! Of course, what I consider a "mini" is just a few inches above the knee. I won't wear anything with my ass hanging out- I don't think that's appropriate for anyone besides strippers and hookers regardless of age.
  11. I've been straightening mine more often than not and I like how it looks. My SO actually prefers it curly. Go figure ................. On you, both look good but I like the straight look better. My hairdresser likes to remind me that I'm lucky to have naturally curly hair- it gives me "options"!

    Garlic thing

I just smash the cloves with my knife and peel them that way. Most of those tiny gadgets they make for garlic are more trouble to use than they are worth.
  13. Yup- I saw some in a store last year right before Halloween. For my work costume, I was seriously considering going the Olivia Newton John route with tights, leotard, leg warmers and a head band. Opted against it, but I got a huge laugh out of the leg warmers!
  14. It isn't just you. I remember wearing tights like that back in the early 80s in dance class.

    iPod Help

Listen to regular radio. Many generations have managed to survive okay on that. You obviously do not understand addiction. (Or maybe you just don't have an iPod YET.....) There are very few modern devices I would have a hard time living without, but my iPod is one of them. I'm not proud of it, but I have gotten very used to having my music with me at all times!

    iPod Help

Make some playlists, use your nano for now and when you get a chance, go to an apple store and see what they say. Usually when my iPod acts up, I have to let the battery complete drain and its all good when I turn it back on. I've never been able to get any useful info from them online but so far that's worked every time. Never had the issue you are having though.
  17. I don't know about air coming up from the bottom, but there is usually a fountain type device that's essentially splashing the surface near the target entry area. That's mostly so the diver can see it, not to make the water any "softer".
  18. OK, I don't have time to read the whole thing but I saw the bit about puking off the windowsill! I used to have a cat that did that all the time- either that or from the top of a book shelf and onto anything and everything underneath it!
  19. My Godson's 2nd birthday was last month and this kid just had me laughing my ass off! A lot of well meaning relatives got him clothes. He was into the whole gift opening thing and when he saw the clothes, he just flung them out ofhis way looking for toys. One of his aunts got him what looked like a toy car and he wanted to open it and play with it right away. Then he realized it was a lamp, not a toy, and he just shoved it aside. So, bottom line- toys- yes, clothes- no. That's a gift for his parents, not him. I'd go with loud, obnoxious and lots of parts to drive his parents crazy. (Maybe a drum set???) Just watch out for them when you've got kids of your own. Parents keep score and like to get revenge on aunties! (One reason I never had kids..............)
  20. As a general rule, a male cat won't spray if he's fixed before he reaches sexual maturity- if you get it done by 6 months, spraying should not be an issue. That's based on my personal experience only - I've had several male cats in my lifetime and I've never had a spraying problem. They've all been housecats I had since they were young kittens and all were fixed at about 6 months. However, my understanding is that once they start spraying, even if you do get them fixed, they'll continue. Nature's Miracle works well for "accidents"! You can even use it in your laundry.
  21. I'd agree with a male kitten. Older cats tend to be more accepting and tolerant of kittens in general and will usually let the younger, smaller cat eat first. Plus, in my experience with the cats I've had, as they get older the males (neutered at the appropriate age) tend to be more laid back and easy going than females. Your queen bee will probably get along with a male a little bit better down the road, while still maintaining her royal status! The food is going to be tricky because a kitten needs a lot of food, and they need the yummy high fat and protein kitten food that Phoebe shouldn't be eating. As far as I know, ALL adult cats love kitten food!
  22. Absolutely. But how many guys that wanted to bed her before, will now no longer express interest in her, and run the other way? Those that still stick around in her life, are the ones that are keepers. The others, were never really her true friends anyway. That doesn't just apply to attractive women with nice boobs. You always find out who your true friends are when your life takes a turn for the worse- illness, divorce, whatever ..........
  23. Unfortunately, she'll probably also have to go through radiation and chemo, but the surgery gives her much better long term odds.
