Wasn't that scene on Sex and The City? If it wasn't, it should have been!

Bo's so much better but the judges have been pushing Carrie all season and the bias really showed last night. Im a little embarrassed that I even care!

That terrorist chick is Mandy and she's been on every season but the third. She opened season one and ended season 2. I'm sure she'll be back. Although I really didn't like the whole Chinese embassy storyline(I'm with John Rich- F*ck YOU! You can't have him! You were harboring a terrorist and if Jack hadn't gotten him, the embassy would have been nuked with the rest of LA!)- I STILL liked the ending. I liked that Jack, Tony, Michelle, Cloe and even Palmer all worked together and found the only possible solution at the time. Jack walking off into the sunrise, alone but not broken, seemed fitting. At least the writers let Tony and Michelle have a happy ending. Maybe one day Jack wil have one too.

Yes, one on particular on another thread outed herself as an "in the butt" girl!

Me personally, I'd keep the PD reserve. Sure, you might never even need to jump it, but if you do need to use your reserve, which would you rather fly and land? Also, if you turn around and sell a new reserve, you're going to lose money on it.

Check the Cub's schedule and be careful where you park!

Screwing stuff up and guilt factor....
tigra replied to masterblaster72's topic in Safety and Training
Two things- trust and respect are things you need to earn AND people expect newbies to f*ck up from time to time. (actually EVERYBOBY f*cks up sometimes!) So learn from your mistakes, and work on your canopy control and landings. If you lost a little trust and respect of some of the more experienced jumpers, you'll just have to earn it back. The important thing is you weren't hurt and you KNOW you got lucky! -
I'm surprised your dz has rental gear without aads.

I'm with wildcard451! I soooooo did not need to know that! Why oh why do I click on these threads? First salad tossing, now this?

Pregnant student, banned from graduation, walks anyway
tigra replied to Darius11's topic in Speakers Corner
Yes, public schools have done the exact same thing if I'm not mistaken. And they'll claim its for "safety" but they really don't want teen pregnancy being glorified in any way- out of sight out of mind I guess. Of course, I think that's BS, but this isn't the first time I've heard of something like this. Might be the first time the PARENTS have gotten arrested, though! -
Hope it goes well, and they give you good drugs!

In Illinois, the new phrase is "Testicular Virility"- courtesy of our governor who knew it was politically incorrect to say "balls" on TV!

Is Constantine's band any good? I just never bought him as a "rocker"! But the slow songs he did on the show- especially My Funny Valentine- were really good!
-
So NOT a Constantine fan, but I did really enjoy My Funny Valentine. Every time he tried to do rock, to me he just came across as a cheesy imitation of Bo! I never got the "cute" thing either, but to each her own. If you are a fan, there is a CD out of Constantine's band Pray for the Soul of Betty. It was recorded way before American Idol and some small label agreed to distribute it for them. It should actually be in stores. (haven't looked) Bo's band Sugar Money has a CD you can buy off their website website. Sugarmoney.net?

Looks a little like a Billy Bumbler.

Someone mentioned a bacon cheeseburger earlier and now that's all I can think about!

I think the race thing is BS! Maybe the viewers are just ready for something different? A rocker instead of an R&B or Pop singer? A songwriter and a musician, someone with his own unique style and talent who hopefully won't be packaged into a pop star and shoved down our throats? But no- its all about race!
-
Bo Bice and American Idol- my guilty pleasure! I was surfing and caught him early on doing Whipping Post. I've been hooked ever since. (Kept waiting for him to get voted off so I could quit watching!) Carrie has great raw talent, but she needs a lot of work with her performance AND her vocals. I would have preferred to Nadia Turner in the finale with Bo, but once it was down to the last 5 or 6, I think the final 2 were pretty obvious.

There are 16-21 way ways at SDC regularly every weekend. Two plane shots take a little more planning but can be put together on very little notice if the interest is there. As Kallend already pointed out, the real issue is organizing the event itself. People have and will travel to SDC for bigways. Its kind of funny how people seem to think of it as a freefly dropzone when not so long ago it was thought of as a "big way" dropzone. And, sorry, but its kind of funny how people from Florida and California seem to think those are the only states where quality skydiving happens!

Statistically, 57% of all statistics are made up! I don't think there is a yes or no answer for this one! What works for one person or couple doesn't necessarily work for someone else. I do think many people get married for the wrong reasons and many people move in together for the wrong reasons. But it sure is a lot cheaper to move than it is to get a divorce when things fall apart!

If you are a full time college student, don't you have some insurance through school? I swear I remember that I did, but that was a long time ago.

How often do you wash your jumpsuit???
tigra replied to sum1mom's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
What kind of suit and what detergent are you using? I wash Zute Sute when it needs it and it looks as good today as it did when I got it 3 years ago. I only use cold water, Tide or another name brand detergent, some oxy cleaner stuff and I never put it in the dryer. -
We had a LOT of books and I'm pretty sure most did end up at a library, but they wouldn't come and get them. The whole experience was a ton of work and a lesson in just how rotten the human race can be! I DREAD the thought of doing it again! Between the stealing and the petty haggling, and having rude strangers go through my home! Ugh!

Well first of all, congrats on buying a house! My mom had a yard sale when she sold her house and moved into a much smaller apartment. I come from a long line of packrats- all on my mother's side. This was our family home, and all 4 of us kids left stuff behind when we moved into our own apartments and houses. Needless to say, the sale was a nightmare, and I don't think we made all that much money either! In addition to a lot of good info that's already been posted, please keep in mind that yard sales and garage sales bring out the absolute worst in humanity. People STEAL and will try and haggle you down to nothing. No matter how pitiful they look, don't let them into your home to use the bathroom or anything else. Did I mention- people STEAL? And be careful not to accidently sell stuff that isn't supposed to be for sale! (That's why a yard sale might be a little better than a garage sale- you can have a clearly designated area with items for sale!) Have a plan for what you don't sell- charity or garbage dump- and stick with it. Remember that some charities are pretty picky about the donations they accept so you might want to get a commitment from them up front- all or nothing, but they can't pick and choose through your unsold goods! We had the hardest time getting rid of our books and I can't remember what we ended up doing with them! None of us can bear the thought of throwing away a book! Good luck and let us know how it goes. I really need to clean out my attic and do the same thing, but I just dread the very thought of it! (I think I'd rather donate the crap and take a tax deduction!)

I can't remember where I was but someone was talking about that this weekend!
