The Romber- anything to increase their 15 minutes! 2 stints on survivor, one on Amazing Race and a televised wedding. What's next? Another Survivor of course! Sure as shit beats getting a job, right?

Kids that do dishes and laundry are worth a lot! However, they will probably start to depreciate in value once they hit puberty. By the time they can drive, its pretty much all downhill!

Unless you've been monitoring the sales at our dz, you can't tell Sunshine she's incorrect. The participants purchased the calendars so as far as you're concerned, they sold well. How well they are doing REselling the calendars is a different story. Apparently, at SDC the initial price tag was a bit too steep. I know we did other fundraising to support our local jumpers. I just hope the people who needed the contributions the most didn't end up with a lot of calendars they couldn't sell. And I think Jan's made enough contributions to the sport and previous records that maybe she's earned the right to some nit picking. Maybe you should leave that to Kate and Jan to work out for themselves. Just a thought.................

In the past we've also sent a larger contingent of "regulars" to JFTC than we are this year. That may be part of it.

I think Jen is still mad because Jan thought the calendar idea was sexist. I seem to recall a very heated discussion a while back.

Well, hasn't JD made a career out of impersonating dead rockstars? He just might be exactly what they want, but he creeps me out! I *think* I remember the bet- if Marty wins, I owe you beer. If JD wins, you change your avatar to a shot of yourself wearing Brooke's tacky outfit from last week. Did I get that right? Was there another part to it? BTW- I loved Dave Navarro's comment about Brooke's outfit this week-I'm paraphrasing, but.... Porno Wonder Woman??? lol

Jordis last week- probably fair since she seemed to have lost her drive, but I was sorry to see her go. I love her voice and I think she could have been a good fit for them. My money is on Suzie to go home tonight. I'm with you about Mig, but the guys from INXS seem to enjoy the way JD strokes their egos.

I totally disagree with you about JD- I can't stand him on stage or off, and I hear nothing new or fresh in his "original" song. I thought Ty would be a great fit for them and I'm really surprised they let him go when they did. I didn't get their logic- Suzy's still there and she's spent a LOT of time in the bottom 3. There's no way she's a good fit for them, either. Nice girl, good voice, just not INXS material! (And she just wasn't good last night, IMO! They finally got Marty to stop screaming and she decided to start- doesn't she listen to those guys when they give critiques?) I agree with you about Marty up to a point, BUT he's really toned down the screaming and brooding. Plus I love his original song- that's a single I would buy. I think Mig's the guy- talented, good looking, sexy. He can perform their entire catalog PLUS bring something fresh to the band and still keep it light and fun. I still think the show is kind of ghoulish, though!

Actually, the flood was the result of failed levees, no? Levees which might not have failed if they'd been reinforced years ago? It WILL be interesting to see how it plays out in court. Never the less, as someone else pointed out, flood insurance should have been a requirement anyway. Then the insurance companies could fight it out with each other.

I agree that it sucks for them. However, it is flood damage.

The bulk of the damage in New Orleans did come from flooding and not the storm. Its a sad situation, but they should have had flood insurance. Also, keep in mind that if and when they are ready to rebuild, low interest government insured loans will be available to most of the residents and business owners.

I think space cakes are just cakes and brownies made with hash or pot- nothing too pyschodelic. And what you can buy to smoke is probably much better. The quality that is available there is really amazing, ummm from what i hear and all. Last time I was there was a very long time ago!

Also get some of those yummy french fries with mayo from the street venders. (They still have those, right?) And renting a paddleboat to tour the canals after visiting the coffee shop is a bad idea! Don't ask me how I know that though!

I wonder about people who take in agressive animals, then train and encourage them to be more agressive. They give responsible pet owners a bad name! As someone else already pointed out, this dog now has a taste for blood. Next time, it might not be a stray, but someone's pet or a small child.

Seems to me that Daley's ultimate goal is to squeeze all the pimps, hookers and crackheads OUT of the city and into surrounding suburbs. Areas that were once considered "ghetto" are now hip and trendy with the prices and RE taxes to prove it. Yeah, he's a crook just like his dad, but he's not going anywhere! I would love to see him personally pay that fine, but for someone like him its just a slap on the wrists and it won't bring Meigs Field back.
