Quite simply, don't do it. If you cannot equalise, don't skydive. Possible consequences are ruptured or blown eardrums, or a ruptured sinus, which is a spectacular thing to see. t It's the year of the Pig.

You're so pragmatic. At 40 dives a year, and 280 dives total, I probably wouldn't feel safe doing anything but hop and pops on a 7 cell loaded to 1.1, but as you say... we're all different. t It's the year of the Pig.

I say it as soon as I feel it. That's usually quite soon as I've never been the type of man to go for anything. I usually have to wait a long time to hear it in return, but.. so far, so good. t It's the year of the Pig.

Well every household in Iraq is allowed an AK, and the US forces are armed. Why isn't there an instant outbreak of peace? There's a flaw in your logic somewhere. t It's the year of the Pig.

Yeah, they mentioned a few "inspired" clones, like the Galil, but he's not worried about what people did during the Cold war and freely admits that many east block countries and former members of the USSR continue to produce his weapon and pay nothing - but that doesn't mean that the US should allow what they complain about other countries doing. I do see his point. He stole a few ideas from the Germans (like everyone else) and made a name for himself. He just wants a slice of the pie! t It's the year of the Pig.

It's all in the wiring. If I knew the UK had a "shoot to kill" policy, as I do, I'd wire the bomb to go off on the release of a button, rather than needing to push one. I can't beleive that people who choose to impose policies like this don't know that you can rewire to compromise in less than 2 min. t It's the year of the Pig.

That's interesting. While Bill Gates complains that China is making knock-offs of Windows, Mr Kalashnikov complains (correctly if you list of manufacturers is real) that US companies are making knock-offs of his AK patent, shown here..http://kalashnikov.guns.ru/patent.html A local newspaper quoted him as saying only one US manufacturer was licenced to produce the AK-47. I think there's some intelectual property abuse going on here. t It's the year of the Pig.

I've owned both, but only went for Parapak when I had around 500 jumps. I had the rig for 1000 dives and it looked new - but then I never fell over. It's still around the DZ occasionally but looks worn and dated, as a 15 year old rig should. Every rig I've had since then has been Cordura. Go for the Safire 2. t It's the year of the Pig.

Well, that's not strictly true. Since the average human has a reflex and response time of 0.2 seconds, I don't think it hurts the suicide bomber at all. t It's the year of the Pig.

You give them the standard "Are you a serial killer" questionaire. One should not trust those who come through completely though, as one axe murder does not make a serial killer. t It's the year of the Pig.

No Problems. Low then High = problem (Scuba then Sky) but not for your ears. You may bend. High then high again = no problem. Commercial airliners pressurise to about 7000ft AMSL Max. t It's the year of the Pig. -
I wasn't talking about Tiger specifically. The dedication you describe is true of any top athlete, from Schumacher to Messner. I was talking about golf, stress and consequence. It's a game, not a sport, and I can assure you that Tiger never got his muscles from golf. t It's the year of the Pig.

I can imagine! What consequence when the little ball doesn't go in the hole... another shot! Wow. What a price to pay! It's a bit like when a swoop goes wrong. You get another try - if you're a Buddhist - in your next life. Golfers are not "athletes" even by the futherest stretch of that term. from Oxford... "Athlete" - Person who is good at Athletics. "Athletic" - Muscular and physically active. "Athletics" - Sport, esp running and jumping. t It's the year of the Pig.

Nothing is more difficult. It's just different from what you're used to, and doing what you used to will need to change a little. Congrats on the new suit. Is it from Icarus? t It's the year of the Pig.

The G4 is certainly a more comfortable (and expensive) rig, and so I do most of my dives on it. The cost difference between my G4 and G3 for me was nearly $500, and for me, worth saving on a second rig while retaining all the Mirage features I like. I also found that hooking up my suit to the G4 with it's elasticated waist support made the process more complicated and time consuming. This elasticated support also experiences significant wear as a result of the velcro on the suit from the BASE Pilot chute pouch dispite using mating velcro for the section not in use. Since this is not standard on the G3 it seemed a more practical choice. My G4 has done nearly 100 Birdman dives though, and apart from the suit hookup workload served well in that roll. I cetrtainly don't think that either one is better than the other in flight. t It's the year of the Pig.

After 18 rides on many different makes or reserve as a result of malfunction, wrap or entanglement, I've settled on PD reserves. I have PD 126R's in both my rigs. Dispite having some experience in the cutaway dept, I'm going no further than PD. t It's the year of the Pig.

I have both. I got the G4 first, and when I was building a Birdman rig I went for the G3. I use the G4 for AFF and fun dives, (FS, Tracking dives, Freefly) and the G3 for Birdman, but also as a back to back AFF rig when things are very busy. I'm super pleased with both of them, but would recomend the G4 if you were going to get only one. t It's the year of the Pig.
