I second that. I had a spot down there on some big ways last fall and it was way out over the "grapes". Ended up landing next to the highway at least a mile from the DZ. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_attachment;postatt_id=15678; Picture is from a Deuce post on dz.com Skydiving can always be an adventure and its not over till you have a beer in your hands back at the DZ!! Dave, Even with the snazy new workout you posted you cant do Rears for landing a Tandem, whimp The tandem Cut I had last fall was a bad tension knot on the right side that held the slider up. I could stear but it took a lot to keep it straight. Played to get slider doiwn a bit, nothing worked. Leg wrapped the passanger and said to cross your arms and away we went. Tandem reserves open sloooowwwwww

If the diagram that HCnorway posted is correct for the design of the RAGE canopy then it looks a lot like an airlock??? Am I missing something??? I think Brian Germain noted it as a "German Airlock" design or something like that in an earlier post. Though it does not look like the design Big Air has it looks like an airlock to me in some respects . Just curious if the design HCnorway noted is correct and if others think it will act like an airlock?? Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

I dont think the film was an exclusive adaptation of John. It seems to cover a number of the Gospels. I agree that you will need to judge it yourself by seeing it but it will greatly help the flow of your watching the film if you have an understanding off the gospels, even if it is a quick read before going. As a side, since it was released last wednesday it has pulled in just under $120M according to the news. That is amazing for the content of the film not usually being a huge draw in theaters.. Tandem Instructor Poll: Student Harness Adjustment
sdctlc replied to slotperfect's topic in Instructors
I have my passengers/students ready to jump with the harness tightened to "Jump Ready" before getting onto the airplane. I hook up the clips at the correct time before the jump on the way up but hold off until a few minutes prior for final tightening the lateral straps. It is the only real comfort issue I give to the student, espically when comming out of a 182. I try and do the same flow every time and it is in my head as the pattren I use. As a result I dont have any problems and the student is ready to jump as soon as the clips are on.. Just my way of doing it!! Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!" -
Subject: Five Floors Guys will love this one....The ladies could laugh too!! Recently a "Husband Super Store" opened where women could go to choose a husband from among many men. It was laid out in five floors, with the men increasing in positive attributes as you ascended. The only rule was, once you opened the door to any floor, you HAD to choose a man from that floor; if you went up a floor, you couldn't go back down except to leave the place, never to return. A couple of girlfriends went to the shopping center to find some husbands... First floor The door had a sign saying, "These men have jobs and love kids." The women read the sign and said, "Well, that's better than not having a job or not loving kids, but I wonder what's further up?" So up they went. Second floor The sign read, "These men have high paying jobs, love kids, and are extremely good looking." "Hmmm," said the ladies, "But, I wonder what's further up?" Third floor This sign read, "These men have high paying jobs, are extremely good looking, love kids and help with the housework." "Wow," said the women, "Very tempting." But there was another floor, so further up they went. Fourth floor This door had a sign saying "These men have high paying jobs, love kids, are extremely good looking, help with the housework and have a strong romantic streak." "Oh, mercy me," they cried, "Just think what must be awaiting us further on! So up to the fifth floor they went. Fifth floor The sign on that door said, "This floor is empty and exists only to prove that women are impossible to please. The exit is to your left, we hope you fall down the stairs." What do you think??? Lots of talk and groups/people making racist statments about the movie and what it stands for!! Religon always seems to spur the most passionate for and against on any topic, even politics. That said, I just saw the movie and I have to say it is what I expected and yes I liked it. Not for reasons of bible thumping or Jew or Roman bashing. I liked it because it was an attempt at an accurate account of the last day of Christ as told from the Gospels. I am not a big bible thumper but to refresh my memory and to try and go into the movie with an idea of what it was based on, I read some of the applicable areas before going. End result is I think that the movie held very true to what is written in the Bible, at least what I have read and have been taught. Since it was made as a movie giving an accurate "story telling" based on the bible gospels, you have to include that the Jewish leadership, not the Jewish people mind you, pushed for the crucifixion of Christ. If you’re not a believer in the bible then maybe you could look at it as a racist movie. The fact is that this is a movie and it was made specifically based on the word of the bible. Is there some liberty there, yeah interpretation does that. From what I saw it was pretty close to whats written in the Bible. Was there lots of violence, yeah. Personally I feel that the times well before and long after the time of Christ, people were extremely violent towards each other and this is probably only a small glimpse into the attitudes and actions at the time towards human life. I did not see the movie as Jew hating as has been said by some. Hell I felt more distain during the movie for the Romans and the callus attitude towards the lower tier of people in their eyes Yes I winced at some of the graphic and continuous violence but it seemed that when it really went over the edge the movie took a step back to take off some of the “hit” on the audience and get it back into a watch-able movie. Overall I liked the movie as a STORY, which is what it was. It makes you think and consider religion a bit. I don’t want to go out and hurt anybody because of seeing it. I don’t think it was the the Jewish people that are shown in a bad light but instead the Jewish leadership shown to be in a bad light. Overall the Romans were much worse then the Jews. Honestly, the only real problem I had was not with the movie but some of the people at the movie. I saw lots of people taking their younger kids to see it, 10 nd under was my guess for some of them. That is just wrong in my eyes and I don’t think they need to see that graphic of a depiction. Just a couple of thoughts after seeing the movie, Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

There is the question!!!! What is the % of divorce in the US today, 35% or so??. You have lots of couples "ridding the wave" and honestly I hope they all last forever but I hope the same for any marriage. Knowing the state of marriage in the country that most of us live in (US), I will be very curious about the outcome of the first "Gay Divorce". there will be lots of interesting cases comming out of this... That will be the "wave to ride"!!!! Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
