  1. I have no idea about that. I can say that a good number of the jumpers were from Idaho. A few were from Spokane and a few from Montana. I live in the Seattle area now but did live in Idaho for a number of years. If fact I did my first jump in Idaho, does that count. If there were any rumblings I did not hear them. Also I was suprised that a number of jumpers from the Caldwell DZ's were not over there this year. Competing DZ's I guess.. I dont know how many regulars they have there but if some of them felt left out I dont know Scott C. Jaye, did ya figure out what a whacker is yet? "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

  5. I know its not the biggest formation built but here is the report from the Seattle Skydivers July Newsletter on the Idaho State record 34-way a couple of weekends ago at Snake River Skydiving in Star Idaho. Organizer was Jeff Sanders and Video/Still was done by Dave Hoyt. Fun time was had by all and the DZ had a great party after despite the thunder storm that rolled in that evening...... Scott C. http://www.seattleskydivers.org/ssd-news-july-2004.pdf New Idaho State Record Reported by Scott Callantine On Saturday June 26th, 2004 at Snake River Skydiving in Star, Idaho, 34 skydivers from around the Northwest gathered to break the previous state record 30-way. DZO Larry Shumard had brought in a Twin Otter from Kapowsin Air Sports, a Turbin 207 from West-Plains Skydiving and had scheduled a turbo 206 from 9 am to 3 pm. With high hopes, we gathered at 8:00 am to dirt dive. The plan was for 4 attempts at setting the state record, with any extra jumping time devoted to making a sequential attempt with the same group. After dirt diving and making some quick adjustments we would have been ready to go, but one key element was missing … the 206. Larry had chartered it for a limited time and it was running late. Not wanting to waste any time, dive organizer Jeff Sanders decided to put up a 28-way practice dive. It went well but showed some glitches that needed to be changed before we took up all 34. When we landed, the 206 had arrived and was getting ready. The 206 brought with it a new challenge: after arriving late, it also needed to leave early, only leaving time for two attempts. Knowing time was short we loaded up and took off. The airplanes were in position, and on “go” out we went. The formation built smoothly and was completed on the first jump right above the dropzone. Idaho had a new state record 34-way! With time for one more attempt we set out to complete the sequential; though the formation built faster, there was one jumper out. Although we did not complete the sequential dive, we had accomplished the goal for the day: a new Idaho state record 34-way! Photo by Dave Hoyt "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

  8. I will sometimes have it set to go off 500' high and most of the time I have it to go off at break off. Depends on the jump and what I feel like I guess. No real rhime or reason to it I would guess but if the break is planned at a lower altitude I will give myself a heads up just early so I am not tempted to get the last grip... Lets break at 4K Unless were close that is, then 3.5K Of course if were REALLY CLOSE to the last point then maybe 3K...... Scott C "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  9. Was he really playing?? Looked like he was at first but as he went faster it was harder to tell and the fact that he did not miss one note makes me pull out my "I dont know" side.... Either way it was cool..... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  10. No kidding. Calling it pop does sound ignorant but it doesn't send me off into a tizzy fit. Life is too short to worry about something so minor. See, Sunshine says calling it POP is "ignorant"... I knew there was a reason I liked her! Now call it what it should be called you ignorant people...."soda" Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  11. I live in the land of people calling it "Pop" when it should very clearly be called "Soda". Mind you I dont live where I mostly grew up so that might explain the problem... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

    Incident in Wa. ?

Here is the text if you could not get to the article..... Scott C. Man dies attempting 'base jump' off Wash. cliff 09:42 AM PDT on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 From KING Staff INDEX, Wash. - A search team on Tuesday recovered the body of a base jumper who fell more than 1,000 feet from a cliff in Snohomish County. The identity of the 33-year-old victim was not released. Monday night's search near Index was called off because of darkness. The remote area in the Cascade foothills about 30 miles northeast of Seattle had made recovery by foot difficult. The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said one person successfully based-jumped off a cliff on Mount Baring early in the evening. A second jumper didn't make it. "He fell approximately 1,000 feet. Parachute did not deploy and he impacted down into the talus on the mountain," said Danny Whikstrom of the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office. Three survivors hiked out and called police. 19. It is possible but it is going to depend on the jumper and the drives that jumper has. Many people would be happy just jumping but many others need more challenge or goals to strive for and shoot for. It is going to vary between people Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  20. That commercial is frigging funny!! Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

  23. The shocks are proving the be the trick. They are adjustable and I cant find any on E-bay or J.C. or other shops that replace it. I can find them for smaller bikes or for the 1100 but earlier model years (before they changed design for both pipes to come out of one side of the bike. As for tires I just wnted to know if somebody had a good cheap source, hell I can go up the street and get a set of tires but want to see if I can save some money.... Scott C.
