  1. Hell, there ya go! I have only jumped my HC40 wih the 0.6 and I have ot had any problems.. Clean image and plenty wide with very litle distortion in terms of vinetting.. Easy to get ahold of and if its in a BC D-box the len sticks out a little but is not bad...... If you want to go flat then the Cookie or the Diamond seem to give that option. BTW, I top mount on a Batrack with a still as well and works great.. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  2. Sony has a good .6x lens that is cheap at B&H I use it for tandems and general RW but not good for really big ways or close Free Flying. Then you might want to look at the .45 orsmaller Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  3. It is a tough call. There are plenty of smaller guys that he will race againt... Maybe 50 lbs lighter....... If he is 200 I know that a number of the other drivers are much less.... If he was worried about it he should have been bytching about it before. I guess then the rule should be in his eyes weight the car, weight the drivers and add weight to the car to make them all basically as fat as the fattest driver with weight. I dont buy that argument... yeah there are many factors that give an advantage and if you dont take it then your stupid... but unfair, I dont think so.... As a side, Indy is loving the attention I would guess. THey have a HOT female driver (unlike the previous 3) and are getting lots of attention. Is it unfair for David Letterman to have an employee of his on his show to advertise his racing team, oh as a side to hit the human interest story of it as well, yeah right.. I dont think this is off or unfair at all.. Shut the fuck up and go drive the damn car. I honestly dont think she will win, not since she is agirl but looking at the prerformances of past rookies, not women rookies but rookies in general. Would I be happy to see her win, sure that would really piss some people off... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

  5. In the days of college and in the avoidance of lonley nights the words that come to mind are: "Beauty, Fuck it, its only a lightswitch away!!" Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  6. In the long run sounds like a good trade... Think about it, then you can broaden your selection and not be hung up with looks, color, size whatever... Maybe it will make you a machine!

  9. Wow, sorry to hear about that.. Wait I guess I am sorry that even after 30 or so minutes after posting nobody seemd to jump in with a quick post and care... That really sucks...... I care and dont go in, bad for the yearly stats... That is my advice, dont go in...... it would really suck Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  10. I did a tandem with the wife of a couple that wanted to jump together (used the 182 today).... She and he were both cool and the dive went well! What more can you ask for!! Beautiful Wx and awesome viewsand good fun by all! Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  11. Everyone should ahve a crush, even if it is only for a few minutes, hours, days, weeks, ect............ It is part of the fun!! Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  12. I do both Tandems and shoot Video. When I am shooting video I usually prefer to pop up at the wave off looking down at the tandem then as the trap door takes effect. I then shoot the canopy opening right in front of me then as it catches I fall past the tandem pair, in frame, and roll on my back and give the "peace" sign, again in frame but usually under the tandem in the shot....the visual looks great. I have never been in a position that if the Tandem had a problem I would have been close. I usually fall for a good 5-6 sec before I turn back over and the result is tons of separation..... When I turn over I move to the side in case there is an issue. when out of the 182 I am usually spotting so I am not worried about the exit or opening. On bigger planes I take a quick look during the fall to see where we are and kinda "talk" to the TM if we are WAY OFF.... I am sure that others do the same... Anyway, I like the roll on the back shot for the opening...... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  13. Brett, The Sigma is a completely different rig then the Vector 2 a number of areas but in comfort no comparison. Did the DZ get some Sigmas? You will like it, maybe not enough to get you swayed away from the racer but you should like it lots! I know I do..... I would be curious to hear your opinion on it compared to the Racer.. Scott C. 14. I would have it checked out to see if it is mechanically sound, like you noted. Overpriced is a tough thing to call as well as it is worth what people will pay... If you have been looking for this bike and find out that the bike is in good shape after inspection, then it is a good deal. You know what you have been looking for and the pricing your seeing, if your happy with the asking price then go ot it, its a good deal for you. Are there better deals out there, hell deals always come and go but at some point you have to say "I like this deal" and go for it... Here is a 2001 on E-bay that has less miles but I dont know the reserve price. It is now at $3300 USD but reserve not met: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4551514468&category=50028&sspagename=WDVW Again deals come and go, but if you hav uit checked ut and your happy then who is to say it is a good deal other then you... 21. should I be???? "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  22. wow, that looks like shit... Probably will work though.. One thing you might want to think about is to really work on geting the lines neat in the stoes. This does help.. The rig on the right is my Wings and the lines are aaverage. I actually shoot for them to be more like on my Infinity on the left.... Canopies want to open and I have always been a a firm believer that you cn do a lot with the canopy and it will open good if the lines are not messed up.... Just my $0.02 Scott C. 25. I just have the BH cutaway set up on my BatRack. Can probably make something cheaper as it is just a spring, a codder bolt, codder pin and a way to pull it. Pull the codder pin and the spring pushes out the bolt holding the chin cup and helmet will go away... I will see if I can dig up a better picture. the one attached shows the red release pull. It is on the left side of my head and in the pic is folded under the helmet but when I am wearing it it is on the outsideand can be grebbed if needed.... There have also been a thread or two on this topic here as well... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
