They wre messing around with that at Nationals at Eloy a number of years ago I seem to remember. The camera guys had the ant and all. It worked OK but I think I remember hearing about some bugs. I just had to fill out forms for my "Open Enrollment" for 2006 at work. I had the opportunity to make changes. I continue in 2006 to carry full Medical, Major Medical, Dental, a flex plan for out of pocket expenses for myself and my family. I pay a SHIT LOAD of money for that insurance and it goe up each year. My company covers part of it but given the screwey rules and that it is based in a different state then me the price is pretty high but less still then some alternatives I have looked into. I wish they paid more but I realize that I have to pay not only for me but more importantly for my family and really for my 5-1/2 y/o daughter. The thing that pisses me off is I did not need the insurance last year, other then dental, and it hurts to see the monthly premium go up. I 100% blame that on people that dont take the responsibility to stand up for their actions. What happened was an accident but it was no accident to go on TV and in effect look for help. That, to me, is nothing more then being on a street corner begging for money. I dont give them anything and if I could help it I would not give you a dime either. Unfortunantly when I see my insurance premiums go up, I am paying along with everyone else for you. I would love to hear a big thank you from someone like you who made a completely stupid decision. Stupid was not the jump and it was not the messing up that lead to the accident, I am sorry that happened. I jump a top mount system and have had no issues. I hear about riser slaps and the like with side mounts but never wanted to go there so I have always gone for a top mount system. Now have a nice set up with a full batrack and have not had any issues. That said I also have a chin strp cut away system in place as well if I ever do. Scott C edited to add: I dont have an issue with side mounts but I "see" some potentials for snags that I never wanted to visit. I think if it is approached correctly and people use the new "clean helmet" designs that are out there they are fine.. I think its safe to say that given that its proven by the number of them out thereand the lack of incidents comming from them other then riser slaps and other minor things. I am not saying that top mounts are perfect at all but I just personally like a top mount system better and in turn feel better jumping with it.... "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

Take a look on E-bay... There are a few listed there. Also, as another option, I was using a 22-55mm lens that was first off of an old APS format camera. Worked awesome on my 2000 and they pop up for sale now and then as well. Gives a bit more versatility then the straight 24mm if your trying to more then just freefall shots.. Quick E-bay look found this at a cheap price, might be worth a look. Anybody know about a Kenmore 177-959 sewing machine? I have a friend with one and he was curious about it. I looked at it and it is a BEEFEY SOB, seemed comparable to some of the older Singer straight stich models! This one fires up but I did not get a chance to try it out. It is a rotary electric and does have the "I can sew anything" look to it.. I tried to find some stuff on the web but found the manual available for about $16 but nothing else?? Go figure, I find crap all of the time and then cant even find a bit of information on the unit.... any direction for additional info or comment would be appreciated. Thanks, Scott C. You people serious? I dont think that Donald Trump needsed anybodys approval, espically Randal's approval, to hire Rebecca.. He has been palying God in his own little universe for 4 seasons now and if he really wanted to hire her he would have done it. It was not smart at all on Trump's part to ask Randall the question to begin with anyway. He just won and now was asked a question that was inordinantly unfair for the set up, existing rules and intent of the show. The show is hyped up to lead to One winner. I think the show should have not gone down that road to try and take away from the moment and the "win". It/He was all set up to hire both but I agree with the outcome in that only one should be the winner. That is crazy..... The only thing I can see them getting in trouble for is miss use of public funds. If the shooting of the video was done during "off time" the subject matter is, well at very least, should not be the focus. Offensive or not they can do what they want for a private /personal video provided it is not breaking the law. Who cares if it is tastless. The hitch it seems to me will be the use of time and funds. If your looking for 35mm and are just trying to get into shooting stills a great way is with a Rebel 2000. It is light and easy to use. Takes nice freefall pics. If you want to go Digi look at the Digital rebel (300D) that you can pick up pretty cheap now on Ebay probably around 500 or so or step up to the Digital Rebel XT (350D). We had a student this weekend that had a high flare on the first load. I thought we were going to see something similar but he held the flare and had a not so pretty landing but nothing broken. He made another one that day and did much better... The pic is one I took standing on the hill looking over the landing area and the trees in the background are lower then the landing field but the flare is very high non the less... It looks much higher in the pic then it really was but still WAY HIGH.. End resultis confirmation yet again on the thread title Scott "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
