  1. I dunno if its the guy ur talkin about, but this guy does a real good job of things. rodmansvisuals.tripod.com/home.html --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  2. please dont make me think of that song by tom petty, dont even say the name of that song. I HATE IT. Its actually gotten to the point now that when the tandems say "o i want freefalling behind my video" i come back with...o uhh....that song...it um...skips now ya know, so how bout some techno? --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  3. I got a brand new Neptune (SWEET!!!) and about $120. Still got some family out there that i havent got to see yet (due to all this snow), so i might have some more --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  4. Gotta love the midwest! I'm in Indiana and we have about 15 inches on the ground right now, looking for another foot to come tonight. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  5. You mean there are no atmonauts as of Now....Im sure we could turn ourselves into ones with the right practice Hey, we could be franklin's first atmonaut's!!! --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  6. Yeah, i packed for myself the day of my first jump. Actually, i can only recall maybe 3 times in the past 250 jumps that i didn't pack for myself. When i gear checked another person, i checked the 3 handles, 3 straps, cypress, and the main and reserve pins. No one ever really messed anything up, i always gave my mom gear checks when i was 13 and couldn't jump. I did the 3 ring maintenance, My step dad is a rigger so i was showed how everything on the rig works before i could jump. I think its better to actually do it rather than just watching, i learned a lot more about hooking up rigs after I actually did it instead of just watching. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  7. Hey, same here. Im a second generation skydiver. Im 16 and ive got about 250 jumps or so now. Ive never been not allowed to jump at any DZ, but if they said i couldnt, i could see why. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  8. Go for it!!!! How expensive it is all depends on what you choose to do, AFF will be a lot more expensive than Static line. Sorry but im not sure on the exact prices. You need under 230 pounds for most dropzones. And also probably in decent shape. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  9. Hey, that looks like a pretty sweet little machine. I think we are actually going to buy one now. I just have a couple questions about it though. If you have 50 pictures on a memory card from a previous skydive. Can i only load pictures 25-50 on a cd? Or do i have to clear the memory card every time? --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  10. -Don't hurt/kill myself -Get a lot better at swooping (while taking my time) -Really perfect my 90 degree hook turn -Perfect Headdown -Visit a couple new dropzones -Make 200 jumps -Try to pay for 95% of those jumps by packing and editing Thats about it for my goals this coming year Edit: i meant my goals for this coming year --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  11. Well, we could always call and harass the people who answer the numbers that shotgun gave us. Or, we could subscribe them to TONS of junk email lists, or even snail mail lists, we could send them death threats or....oh, well i better stop now. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  12. I couldn't agree with you more man. I hate it here in Indiana. Its always cold and snowy/rainy/slushy from december-march and sometimes even a lot longer. And there is nothing really to do. Last weekend i stayed home and while on the couch being bored out of my mind i thought to myself, "Are there actually people in the world that just do this every weekend" Then it kind of made me feel better knowing that there are losers out there that do nothing every weekend. But winter in the midwest still sucks! --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  13. lol, well we started out with wanting to spell dropzone.com but ive helped spell all kinds of things like whuffo, dropzone, swoop, freefly, etc... --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  14. Well...stop watching and help out! --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  15. cheater that doesnt count! will everybody just pick a letter and hold it!? --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  16. Just hit refresh until u get in --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  17. haha ok then i guess ill take o --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  18. Alright, im helpin someone right now, but we have to get 11 people in there from dropzone.com and we all gotta put in the letters and just hold them with the mouse! --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  19. Agreed. No offense or anything man, but what point are you trying to prove? Ok so someone said that you might do ok. You might do ok and not hurt yourself, but would advancing all this fast really make you a better canopy pilot in the long run? Or would taking your time on a slower more docile canopy benefit more? Just something to think about and like i said, no offense. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  20. hahaha, thats an awesome hoodie. Let me know when they are available. I want one! --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  21. Thanks for all the information! I have actually looked that the airvan. But i saw that the climbrate on it was only 750 feet per minute. That wouldn't be so bad if it climbed that way all the way to 13000. How fast did u get to altitude in it? --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  22. Yeah, trust me, ive tried to talk our DZO into getting a porter many times. haha, but he just wont go for it. I want to see how this season goes. We kind of had a bad year last year. Things just wern't that busy so i think it kind of discouraged him from getting any bigger. If we run 3 182's non stop this year, im sure he will get something bigger. He really doesnt want to spend any more than about $100,000 though. I found a really nice plane made by lockheed. Its the AL-60, it almost looks like a big cesna 182 or 206. Its got a nice big door on it that would work for skydiving. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  23. I figured that this would be the best place for a question like this. Ok, so were a small dropzone, our runway is 2400 ft. field elevation is 750 ft. What would be the best jump plane for us to have that would get us to at least 12,500 to 13,000 quickly? Currently we only have 3 182's. Probably can't be a turbine of any kind. Were too small for that. I'm thinking that a 6-8 place airplane would work best. Anyone know anything about the lockheed AL-60? Availibility for parts for it and stuff like that? Thanks for any info given! --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  24. Wow, well i guess no canopy factory is perfect. There will always be a bad one out there, but everyone who jumps spectres at our dropzone (mainly spectres) loves them. There is the occasional hard opening, but as with any canopy. Im currently enjoying my sabre2 right now though. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
  25. Umm...pretty much just try to sit by the pilot (we have 182's) Then, dont open the door until the pilot says go, make climb outs really fast. Then most of the time i ride in brakes under canopy and steer with harness turns while i keeps my hands warm the best i can. Or, just go really fast under canopy and get it over with. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
