Have many 2 way comps been run anywhere? What scores are people getting in time?

If you can find a copy of "The Shovels" DVD from Cookie Composites it has video of a guy cutting all of his lines on the main with his hook knife then deploying his reserve. He landed with his main risers still attatched!!!!! There are a couple of shovels movies but its the one with the green cover.

I want really talking about suits. Just someone in a jumpsuit. Canopy and wingsuit design has come a long way with some scientific input. What work if any has been done purely on "clean skin" jumps?

I have noticed that there is a lot of research and development going on in the area of wing suit and canopy design. I'm sure that a lot of money and time has been spent in the pursuit of performance in these areas as manufacturers can return a profit. I am interested if any individual or formal body has researched the charactoristics of human flight. This would probably relate to maximising forward speed in a tracking position or atmonauti. Possibly even perfecting body position for FS events. I understand students are taught the standard box and tracking positions as they clearly work. However has anyone ever done any wind tunnel tests like they use for cars. I know they use tunnels to refine skijumpers for the winter olympics. Everyone has to find the position that works best for them but maybe there's an easier way?

In one of Jebs base demo vids he is flying relative in his wingsuit to a plane. Maybe he should try getting back into the plane before he tries landing on earth.

It's a Centoris laptop. 1400MHz, 1.4 GHz, 512 MB RAM. Im not really a computer boffin and there are a whole heap of ports on this computer. I think one is firewire but I dont have a camera to take it from. Thats why i need to take it from the VCR. This things even got infra-red, god knows what i need that for??? Sorry about the vagueness I think i'm a lost cause.

I want to transfer video of my jumps from my VCR to my computer. There is an s-video connection on my TV and my computer. How do I go about this??? What software would I need?

Not sure if you guys have TAAF in the states. When I was doing my AFF course the first jump was a tandem. I did some practice ripcord pulls, alti checks and then "pull" the ripcord (TM deployed chute). The difference between TAAF and my first tandem is that your not so much a passenger during TAAF. Its a great way to start AFF whilst learning and still having somewhere to do the stuff that might normally scare a student like landings/deploying. Have fun during your AFF and look foward to your first solo!
