Actually, the plan for the beavers didn't involve any digging. You should've seen the size of the pond that formed over the hill next to the runway after the tropical storm blew through a few weeks ago! There were probably about 2 acers of land underwater. Lyman and I were discussing ways to slow the draining and I figured that the perfect solution would be to relocate a family of endangered beavers to dam up the existing pond and have babies, thus protecting our pond from the evil forces that don't want to see a pond at CSS. ^^ Hey Elis! Whats up? Just a quick PSA for Dave... The JVX'es just arrived, so we don't have to listen to his nonstop whining about jumping my Katana anymore. Rejoice! Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

Whoa Blair... Was this recent? You'll have to tell me the story the next time that I come to your town. Seeya, Eric Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

One of my friends met his wife on match.com... They got married on new years day 2005 in DeLand & they're one of the happiest couples that I know. Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

Wow... the Easter Pigs are on to something after all. With those disguises they could definately sneak in unnoticed. Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

^Hehe... All you need is a couple more hook knives stashed in various places on your suit/rig.... Maybe I could make you some type of hook knife/ toggle combo so that you can always have them in your hands and ready to hack away? Then you can take docks with confidence. ^Wow... That's bad! It was a busy weekend with very light uppers & that had alot to do with it. I got out with the last tandem today, pulled at about 5500 and landed in the field across from the water tower at Novo. Congrads to the 4-Way teams, expecially the winners, Fockers, Crazy Ivan, and Ice!!! Also thanks to Emily for running manifest smoothly! This wednesday has a good number of students dispersed throughout the day. Thursday and friday are very slow as of right now (sunday night), but that is all subject to change. Seeya soon, Eric Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

I was just watching the news... it seems that the most direct route from my house to the stadium is underwater... hmmph. Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

More specifically it's a Britten-Norman BN-2A Islander. Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

It sounds like this tunnel will be owned by the city/state? Are taxpayers paying to put in a wind tunnel? That would be a pretty damn cool rec. center! Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

It is indeed happening Sept 28-Oct 1st. Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

I have the Tacsew version of the 20u and it has the exact same routing. Good luck! Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

Does anyone here have any experience with a Steadycam? They've been getting slowly cheaper and I think that they would make for some really nice shots from a moving platform. Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

Glad to hear that your leg has healed! Keep in touch if you're in my neighborhood any time soon. Seeya Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

^ The tunnel was probably the safest place to be this weekend. I just read all of the incident reports & it seems that the warm season has started off on the wrong foot. Just this past weekend there was one CRW fatality in Spain, a low turn (experienced jumper, not swooping) in Louisa, VA, another tandem student falling out of the harness @ AirOhio, a very experienced BASE fatality in Norway, and a string of BASE injuries and one fatality at the Potatoe Bridge... Yikes... be safe everyone! Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

Does anyone have any experience modifying rounds for parasailing? I have a few collecting dust in my closet that I'd like to have some fun with. From the look of things you could just hot knife a few vents in the proper places & make a special set of risers without too much trouble. Does anyone have a schematic or set of plans for this sort of system? Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

Arvel, Happy b-day & congrats on the 10-22! The shots are beautiful. Seeya in Chester sat? Eric Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

ALERT! Today at CSS I was witness to the first Twin Otter load of 2006!!!!! Great Barrier was flying today, complete with new props, paint, and interior. There weren't any fun jumpers, but she was doing 2500fpm with 5 jumpers aboard. I was told that it will be flying tomorrow as well! There are over 20 tandems tomorrow and the weather looks decent, so all you teams itching for some otter practice jumps should come on out. BTW... my side door exits SUCKED today... I need more practce before Chester. Seeya, Eric Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

More then 1 reserve chute?
eUrNiCc replied to FlyingJarhead's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
As far as I know, the only canopy that can be used as either a main or reserve is a Raven. It's an older design, but if you're set on the idea of having the exact same main and reserve canopy, then it's probably your only option. Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age. -
Hey Elis, How's it going man? We haven't seen you in for-frikin'-ever man. Come down to CSS sometime... and drag D2 along with you. Ohh, and I use 20'' risers on my Katana, but I don't think that you'll feel an enormous difference between the two. Seeya, Eric Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

Hehehe... I'll have to check that dvd out. This weekend the DZ was a ghost town Where are all of the fun jumpers on these nice spring weekends? Has anybody heard anything about Randy? He hurt his back a bit landing off in shifty winds after an IAF jump that ended up a little bit too low to make it back. He said that he was going to go to the doctor last night... I haven't heard anything since, so hopefully that means that he's not too beat up. Seeya, Eric Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

^The object in question was covered in scaffolding a couple years ago for a renovation. Somebody must have at least attempted it. With the security surrounding that area these days you'd be hard pressed to get away. Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

Guido, Thanks for putting everybody up for the night. Your blueberry pancakes are the S yo! Fockers, You all rock! Thanks for winning me a gold medal! Tomorrow is my last day of class (ever) & I have a huge Social Psych paper and an even huger Digital Art project due... Looks like Eric's not going to sleep tonight. If anyone feels like calling me at random intervals during the late hours of the night, please do, I could use the company. Seeya, Eric Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

Indeed, thanks to all that came out and made this past weekend so great... especially to the Big-way'ers, Russians, and folks from Chester, Raeford, Louisa, Orange, West Point, and Suffolk. This year's boogie was a really stark contrast to last year's freezing temps and 2000ft ceilings. I wish it could've been a little less turbulant though. Best wishes to those who suffered minor breaks and sprains! I'm off to try to get the rest of the mustard out of my ears. Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.
