You're right. Although I suspect that those who knew of SH's regime prior to its focus being the flavor of the moment were as appalled as they are by the Abu Gahrib issue. I also find it somewhat amusing to see how many people have come out of the woodworks lately professing their love for the Iraqi people and their well deserved quest for freedom.
