  1. Anything with liquor in it will do. I myself think Champagne is always a good starter to any celebration.
  2. I do not deny that. But I gather that about 80% of the money they make remains in the US. 20% is huge, but still a minor amount compared to the total spent locally. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  3. Maybe it's just my perception here, but the vast majority of illegals I know do spend most of their income into the local economy. Do they send money back home? Yes, lots of them do. Do they pay taxes? No, they can't. But the huge majority of them do not get (or get very little) help from local governments. They are, for the most part, hard working people (most of them making below minimum wage). Of course, there are exceptions. And once again, I do not encourage illegal immigration in any way. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  4. I don't think that's totally true. They do pump quite a bit of money into local economies. The vast majority of them cost a lot less to the States and Federal governments than they financially contribute to local economies, I believe. Which is not to say that illegal immigration is a good thing, of course. 5. Slight nuance: you can be a legal residen alien, still pay taxes and contribute. Can't vote though. (Taxation without representation?) 6. Party on! "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  7. That's what I meant in my earlier post. And I do have a Pilot, and had to have the brake lines shortened in order to have a full range of flare. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  8. How about shortening the brake lines? Would love some input on this as well. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  9. From what I've read, same goes for Austria, France and Germany. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  10. There's a hotel right on Venice Beach (Cadillac Hotel) that is quite decent, and around $100/night. Best deal on the West side...
  11. There's a video of Tom Aiello using his hook knife on a brake line line over malfunctiun. However, in this particular case, tom had: The advantage of: - having a big ass BASE canopy - having jump such canopies for quite some time - quite a bit of experience And the disadvantage of: - not having a the option to cut away - having to decide whether to land a lineover or trying to cut the guilty line - a big unfriendly cliff waiting for him for a hug Although Tom would be the best person to describe it. There may be instances of skydivers cutting line(s) on a line over mal. There are, however, many instances of people clearing a line over mal without the use of a hook knife. Once again, my OWN PERSONAL OPINION: I'd (try to) go for the knife as a last resort only.
  12. Why wouldn't he? That's right. You jump there.
  13. Why wouldn't he? "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  14. That's assuming you can tell it is a brake line. And assuming that you can tell without having to think about it for tooooo long... I'm not trying to be argumentative with you; I am only stating MY train of thoughts regarding this particular matter.
