Yes, #68. Oh I am a bit lower than 10% actually... 6 saves on now approx the same number of live sport rigs. I was myself Funny thing, I think I actually saw all of the cutaway canopies, 2 of them I was arriving at the DZ and didn't even stop, just drove directly to find the bits & pieces. 2 others I landed with the bits & pieces. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

  6. I think I packed a Reflex, not a Racer, should check in my logbook. And in all honesty , I did not necessarily pay full attention to the flaps of the main tray on the rigs we were packing. I actually think the closest I was to touching a Racer was yours scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

  9. Try it. You won't snag a flap on a Racer. thanks for that hint John, will try as soon as I get my hands on one. This is why I precised "on many of the flaps that I know of"... and "almost never saw a Racer" But I hope that you can show me more, in person, in 6 weeks time at Skydive Expo
  10. -might depend on the shape of the flaps, it seems to me that most of the flaps I have seen would be more "snaggable" without the plastic stiffener, as it would be easier to half-hitch around the fabric and a grommet -so "you" can replace it with another material and glue it so I can bitch about it on the interwebz I can't say for a Racer as I almost never saw one. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

  16. maybe this is a bit wrong too. I would have the slider "level" with the nose, and the sides well to the sides. The center of the slider should be "deep" And OPEN the slider completely. Them retraction lines should dissapear, and the tabs should be sticking in the slider. At least that is how it is on my slider scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  17. don't fly into restricted presidential airspace Plane carrying marijuana strays into Obama LA airspace A small plane with more than 20 pounds of marijuana strayed into restricted airspace around President Barack Obama's helicopter on Thursday in Los Angeles, prompting U.S. F-16 fighters to rush to intercept it, officials said. The two F-16s were scrambled from March Air Reserve Base, east of Los Angeles, by North American Aerospace Defense (NORAD) Command officials alerted to an airspace violation "in the vicinity" of Los Angeles International Airport, a NORAD spokesman said. The fighter jets made contact with the pilot of the Cessna 182, a single-engine plane, and the pilot then complied with instructions to land at Long Beach Airport, spokesman Michael Kucharek said. U.S. Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan said agents questioned the pilot and determined there was no apparent intention to harm the president. An FBI spokeswoman said the pilot had been flying from Santa Maria, in Central California, to Long Beach and had failed to respond to radio communications prior to contact by the fighter jets. Obama flew on the White House helicopter, Marine One, from Los Angeles to the seaside community of Corona Del Mar and back on Thursday morning for a fundraiser. Members of the White Houses press corps made the same journey in another Marine helicopter that flew nearby. There was no sign of disruption or incident from the air. After arriving back in Los Angeles, the president boarded Air Force One and flew to San Francisco. There was no immediate word on whether criminal charges were filed in connection with the incident. But law enforcement sources who has been briefed on the incident said authorities found 10 kilos, or 22 pounds, of marijuana on the plane. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

  22. I got from Sunpath replacement parts, already cut & pierced, for main tray flaps, so I could replace the broken one which had already been replaced by substandard PVC in a Javelin, for 5$. As I didn't know what was the original material, I sent them an email and got a very quick reply. From UPT I got a 5*10 inch sheet of their nylatron for a riser cover flap, wasn't cut to shape, but it was free
