  2. I didn't find a meaning for errors, besides that you should bring it to your rigger and not jump the rig with this error, even if the AAd is turned off scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  3. Shoot a PM to BKR here on the forum, he seems to know the Basik rigs quite a bit (he is actually the manufacturer). Also his rigs are distributed in the US by ChutingStar IIRC. His rigs are on the European market for over 10 years I believe, and in the US for 2-3 I think scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  4. The Basik pud on the Seven is beautiful, and best combined with the cordura pouch and the magnet tab IMO the best version of pud so far. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

  7. thanks yes, my helmet, and no I had ditched it no time to cut through lines when the Cypres fires to enable a reserve deployment, and the reserve PC needs to find its way through the main lines... and when the reserve flies through the mess, hits the main dbag to deploy the main I guess you didn't see the video. It is in the Incidents forum, thread is Last night a Cypres saved my life. Link to the video is close to the end scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  8. Depends on when you come, you could be sucked into beautiful events like Hellaherb in Beromuenster (bring over your cowboy gear) end of june. For other nice views you can come over to Bex or Gruyères in the french speaking part www.flying-devil.com and www.epco.aero Never went to Locarno but I heard it is a beautiful place. Stefan Heuser's operation http://www.justjump.ch/ also is in beautiful places scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  9. my 2 out is different from all you proposed. Flying reserve overhead. Trailing main behind, with a helmet entangled in the main lines. Not choppable because the reserve went up through the lines of the main. Main : Safire2 139 Reserve : PD-R146 Exit weight 85kg scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  10. in august there is this HUGE wingsuit meet in Hungary, and if any time available, you are most welcome in Switzerland (a couple or more wingsuiters did have a lot of fun at our DZ) scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

  12. engines running in a special way, but running. That is what makes the interest. There are Cuban Harley Davidson's running with russian tractor pistons
  13. dang, you sure don't look 450lbs. Must be the heavy bones scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  14. User error indeed, but who the fuck offset this AAD by 5k Ft At least my AAD doesn't let me change modes, so I can use my stupidness elsewhere scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  15. apparently they need some extras for a couple of days, accuracy skillz needed, preference for PRO rating holders A perfect job for Twardo scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  16. Which eliminates the "oh today I am going to jump in this or that mode" malfunction. There have been several incidents/unwanted fires due to bad mode selection. And this is purely operator error. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

  18. for some AAD's , the mode change is just a couple of clicks away. and some "room temperature IQ users" give AAD manufacturers a bad reputation. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  19. I have seen several, which makes you realize that it is more about the person than the suit. Sure the suit can help you being more comfy, have more drive etc etc, but being able to fly in shorts & tshirt / generic suit etc shows A LOT from the flyer scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  20. any development for this part : Aug 6 - Sept 5 Europe - Italy TonySuits Tour will it be just Italy ? or all over Europe ? scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  21. your bridle can/will whip around and might grab just anything. Anything like a video helmet... It is a bad idea to hold your PC, sometimes you take the decision that it still is what you have to do, but you need to know it can bring you bigger problems. If you haven't seen my video, you can check in the incidents forum for a thread called "Last Night a Cypres saved my life", and the link to the video is at the end of the thread. Read through the pages, there are lots of good material to read. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  22. " ..................................................................... Bellybands are most helpful on large rigs ... like student rigs (250 - 300 square foot canopies), military freefall and tandem. As solo rigs get smaller (e.g. less than 200 square foot canopies), belly-bands get less and less important. Belly-bands do help prevent leg straps from wandering away from the crease where your thigh meets your buttock. Ah if only belly bands were fashionable... isn't there a trend coming with belly bands on VFS team rigs ? scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  23. the tunnels I know have suits to loan, but they aren't the custom-size-fit-colour-fancyfabric that some people want. Amazing what the tunnel staff can do in these generic-flappy-not so nice colour suits scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
