  1. "canuck says to send me your women"....? Who's women? Someone .... somewhere....
  2. Just imagine a tiny little chick (can't be any taller than 5'1") flopping like a fish on the ground after she landed.... No, she didn't hurt herself and I hear it was pretty damn funny.
  3. Hell yes! Talking to tandem students makes me smile the most ... Even if I had lots of great skydives, talking to tandem students seems to make me smile the most

    NO!

How about double stuffed oreos and some chocolate ice cream?
  5. DUDE! I'm a living, breathing AFF survivor (with no injuries) and I jump at Aggieland, too. My wingloading on my first AFF was like .4 or .5 to 1... and trust me... I had some interesting (interesting meaning I kinda well, yeah I DID NOT flare) and I'm still here...
  6. I jump a spectre 150. It has less than 250 jumps on it. I have put about 50 or 60 on it. I too have randomly weird openings that I'm trying to determine the cause. My canopy will not fully inflate on opening. In the past it looks and feels as if it is stalling. I've had this happen to me maybe 6-8 times. This past weekend, my slidder was down and limp (like a towel hanging there) my canopy was shaking and tossing me around and then... it dove to the right and down. I tugged on my rear risers, which usually corrects the problem. No response. I released my toggles. It steadied me a bit, but did not give me a canopy I would be happy under. I then reached around and rugged on my front risers and finally I had a canopy I was willing to land. This was the worst opening I have experienced in awhile and the only difference was my packer had packed it for me. But I trust his pack jobs. I asked him how he packed it and (since I was packer at the dz months ago) we pack as far as I could tell the same way. Weird. Edited to add: I've had a total of 3 people pack my main. I am the primary packer. The packer I mentioned in the explanation has packed it twice. And a third, who will remain anonymous because of the ridiculous number of line twists I received on his 4 minute packjob I learned my lesson. His explanation: 'body position'... I told him to 'bite me!' (you know who you are )
  7. And now I will share a quote I seemed to have forgotten about.... "Nothing other people do is because of you. It is because of themselves. All people live in their own dream, in their own mind; they are in a completely different world from the one you live in. When you take something personally, you make the assumption that they know what is in your world, and you try to impose your world on their world."
  8. umm... maybe an hour..... I'D JUMP ALL THE DAMN TIME!!! But in reality, it would probably be 5 days MAX (those are week days) and then sometimes maybe just 2 days....
  9. Well, this is just me... and I do believe it may be different for each and every person depending on their canopy skills... BUT... 1st AFF on a 240 3-4 more jumps on a 200 I'd say oh 10-20 more on a Sabre 190 20-30 more on a 170 And I'm currently jumping a Spectre 150 I have 95 jumps. I load that at approximately 1:1 or maybe 1.07:1 But that is me... everyone is different And I'm not a coach... but I had a coach there recommending/approving every downsize I made. I'll probably stay on a 150 for awhile. Good luck.

  22. Just to throw something else out there... Does anyone feel that marriage is something you'd rather put on hold for now and instead go out and experience the world? Travel a lot? Do everything you've always wanted to do? Accomplish a few things first? Being single, I've noticed that after people are married (and especially after having children) their individual life seems to slow down and revolve more around the family. And there is nothing wrong with that. I suppose you have to sacrifice one or the other, or try hard to have both. ...OR do you think you will find someone to do all these things with you? Someone you can marry and then do all of the fun stuff you've always wanted to do? Or... Am I an ignorant 'youngin' who will eventually know what she wants?
  23. I fall into that category as well...
  24. Does anyone else find that annoying? *** Was the intent of this thread not clear from the beginning? Can you ask something meaningful? What really motivates you?
