Pre-employment drug testing benefiting low income blacks

Oh heavens, now I can't read carefully. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." Charles Fort, commenting on the many contradictions of astronomy

(The following quotes are taken from The Quotable Einstein, Princeton University Press unless otherwise noted) "My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble minds. That deeply emotional conviction of the presence of a superior reasoning power, which is revealed in the incomprehensible universe, forms my idea of God." Perhaps a clearer example of his thinking. Einstein rejected the label atheist. Einstein stated: "I have repeatedly said that in my opinion the idea of a personal God is a childlike one. You may call me an agnostic, but I do not share the crusading spirit of the professional atheist whose fervor is mostly due to a painful act of liberation from the fetters of religious indoctrination received in youth. I prefer an attitude of humility corresponding to the weakness of our intellectual understanding of nature and of our own being."[1] According to Prince Hubertus, Einstein said, "In view of such harmony in the cosmos which I, with my limited human mind, am able to recognize, there are yet people who say there is no God. But what really makes me angry is that they quote me for the support of such views."[19] from Wikipedia. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." Albert Einstein was not an atheist in that he believed in a Supreme Being, although he was probably more liberal than conservative in his political outlook. Probably unwise to draw conclusions from a survey of this type. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." Possibly a re-post, but this has come up recently. Sorry, don't know how to make it a clicky. http://theadvocates.org/quiz/quiz.php "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." Charles Fort, commenting on the many contradictions of astronomy

Cato Institute National Police Misconduct NewsFeed
Croc replied to Amazon's topic in Speakers Corner
It is kind of you to feel sad for my inability to detect reality. In the future, when I feel the urge to think, I will quash it with the thought, "What will Quade say?" The answer, of course, will be, "You are wrong." "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." The Cato Institute advocates decriminalizing recreational drug use and prostitution between consenting adults, and all other victimless crimes. They do not believe the government has any business telling us whom to marry. They believe in a total separation of Church and State. They advocate for freedom of speech and of the press. Despite that, you must be right, because you always are. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." I was a member of the Cato Institute for several years. Regardless who funded them, they are Libertarian and not right wing. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." Charles Fort, commenting on the many contradictions of astronomy -

Libertarian is not right anything. "Right Wing" would be the Tea Party, for example. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." Charles Fort, commenting on the many contradictions of astronomy -

"If you have a life we ask you to give it up." Sounds like my older brother. A defense attorney, he had 3 murder trials last year, 100+ hour weeks. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." Charles Fort, commenting on the many contradictions of astronomy

Didn't I see this on SNL? "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." Charles Fort, commenting on the many contradictions of astronomy

Well, maybe things are worse. Nevertheless some of the articles refute what you say. One in particular seems to be saying the opposite--that cadets cannot express religious sentiments, quite the opposite of required participation in religious services. I don't think Ronald Regan can be blamed for that. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." In 1970, while I was a cadet at West Point, attendance at church or temple on Sunday was mandatory. The choices were Protestant, Catholic or Jewish. That meant the Thai cadet exchange student in my company who was Buddhist, attended the Protestant church. Prayers were said at every meal and sports teams prayed to Jesus for victory. Are you saying the situation at the Academies now is more religious than that? No way. One of the largest buildings at the USMA is the cadet chapel--an unabashedly Christian church. Do you suppose that it could be built today? "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." Charles Fort, commenting on the many contradictions of astronomy

Skydiving after total Knee replacement
Croc replied to steveorino's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Have you considered stem cell therapy? (don't know what they call the actual procedure) Some NFL players have had great success with it. It is now cheap enough that I'm considering it. Last year it was $30,000. My boss's wife had it done for two weeks ago for $4000. It allows the knee to repair itself. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Gosh!!! Maybe you could call someone! No, wait, you're right. With "1" and the area code that's eleven numbers. You're right, way too many. I know, maybe you could email somebody! No, wait, probably too many letters. Forget that. Well maybe you could write a letter. No, no, then you'd need a stamp. I guess you'll just have to go on Dropzone. Tell everyone what happened! (Be sure not to give any useful details.) When they give you advice, ignore them! That's it!

What do you like about canopy flight?
Croc replied to ianyapxw's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
CRW (now called "canopy formation" by everyone except people who do it) is flying your canopy while connected to others who are flying theirs, usually by hooking your feet into their suspension lines. It's one of the skydiving disciplines. Lots of fun! "pinned" is when you are flying and someone docks on you by flying their canopy behind you until they gently (hopefully, anyhow) hit you in the back of your thighs. At that point you reach behind and grab their canopy and hook your feet into their "A" lines. Don't know how to do the clicky thing but search Youtube for "Jordan Mr. Bill" There's some crew in the end. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." Nothing at all questionable about disconnecting your RSL for a CRW jump--that is SOP. I've never been on a CRW jump when anyone did not do it. If you have an entanglement and you can break away you want to get away before opening your reserve, otherwise there is the very real danger that your reserve will open into someone else, endangering you and them. On all other jumps mine is connected. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." Charles Fort, commenting on the many contradictions of astronomy
