  4. Anyone else find it worrying how modern toys are just not interactive anymore. You used to get little wooden carved trains with magnets and had to get down and use your head to make stuff and use your imagination playing.... Now you press buttons and watch pieces of crap do stuff. Then watch it again Poor kids need more interaction, wheres the creativity!? My favourite toy when I was a kid was to drag 3 or 4 boxes home from the supermarket, grab a pair of scissors, thread and colouring pencils and make castles for my action force figures. then me and my brother would play war! Ahh the good old days [/rant]
  5. We pay the equivalent of $7.10 a gallon Its not funny
  6. You redeem yourself with the cool iPod... as long as you only use the phone for (who'd have thought it) calling people and maybe texting. I'll let texting slide
  7. I had an LG phone..... it was put in a drawer for 11 months of the 12 month contract
  8. I've changed to Linux cos I'm sick of the porn sites infecting me with adware - what, at least I'm honest! Anyone know of a good Ipod sync program, I tried downloading Banshee but I couldnt get it to work. Linux is a bit over my head to be honest. Too involved. Don't suppose they make one with a self installer? Silly question. Im using Ubuntu anyway
  9. Fuck 'em, see you in Empuria for a good laugh and the rest of you. Shame I couldn't make the boogie, sounds like fun had by all Just have to make up for what I missed in Spain

  11. As a twist of irony BAE systems sponsor the work experience scheme in our area, promoting a healty education and supporting British industry through the construction of weapons!
  12. I can't wait for the environmentally friendly nuclear weapons
  13. Haha, just thought you should know before you start seizing poos!
  14. Excrement contains no DNA. Sorry. Its the reason some burglars leave souvenirs on their victims carpets/beds or in the bath tub... unless of course they have blood in their stool
  15. What the hell has police officers on the street got to do with this? Of course they will still be out there. All they have done is attached a speaker to a CCTV system that was already there which in no way affects the policing requirements of an area
  16. I still see no negatives. If nothing else they could at least tell a victim that help is on the way
  17. I think your over reacting. The cameras would only relay the information to police who'd attend anyway (given a serious incident). If by them scaring someone into realising they are on camera, they runaway from an attack instead of continuing a prolonged assault. Thats good And how would it blow up in someones face? What would they do? Attack the pole the camera is on?
  18. Yeah I can sympathise when people carry items like that in public. After our recent terror alerts a guy (aged 14) was walking round the town wearing full DPM kit with 95 pattern webbing and a rifle on a sling around his body. I could tell he wasn't a real threat and the weapon looked wrong, kinda looked more composite than metallic but he was still very shocked when I issued a challenge to him in the street and had him laying on the floor. Lucky for him really, if it was later in the day with poor lighting or even just another officer not too confident of what they were looking at he could have been looking down the barrell of a very real rifle.
  19. It look slike they take it to another level! Apparantly they have a special FIBUA place where they can do urban assaults. I can see the fun but wow, its a lot of trouble to goto to play soldiers! ... I guess thats what happens when your not allowed to play with real guns
  20. Sorry no. I shamelessly stole it from another forum (which I think should remain nameless) who were thinking about starting an airsoft team, then sure enough, in flowed the images of the boys in action *sigh*
  21. Yeah exactly! Maybe telling us to worry about our mobile phones is just a cunning distraction! I'd be more worried of unearthed fuel supply hoses sparking
  22. The signal isn't a problem and when you consider central locking operates 4/5 maybe more motors simulataneously, I'd suggest thats a greater risk. Moving parts electrically operated. Then you've got all your switches and relays too.
  23. Ok, now I find paintball as fun as the next guy, but Airsoft is something I've never really got into, as a kid I had a couple of Beretta replicas that we used to run round the woods with shooting each other... but grown ups.... and to this extent Cool pics but bordering on sad! Then again at least they are active and not just playing computer games.
