Everything skydiving related but my rig stolen
Scoop replied to HydroGuy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
...good advice... tell the police too if you havent. Might make forensic examination plus if there has been a recent trend of similar theft from motor vehicle good to make them aware. If they arent informed then they dont have the intelligence to study crime patterns etc -
Means rubbish looking or of poor quality

Ive been looking on e-bay and there are loads of lenses and other accesories floating around. Im not a digital kinda guy anyway. I like to hold my pictures and look at them though I do get the shop to whack them on a CD for me too. Quality is awesome and I can use that to send to people if I need to. Better get some film and start snapping next time im down the DZ and not jumping!

So do we ala Charles DeMendazazazazaz or whatever his name was. Repeatedly shoot them in the head. Ask questions later. Another dodgy situation but thats another story AGREED!

"Whos fucking who now bitch!?"

Would you care to explain then.... I couldnt take in all that information at once

Just remember there is always a story to be told. Admittadely the camera never lies, but it also doesnt explain the full circumstances. AS im sure we all know, it situations of hig stress you can become 'amped up' and get tunnel vision. Say for example you were on a high speed pursuit and theeir appeared to be total disregard fro publics safety. You are also risking your life and limb to catch them. Say for instance, during the pursit you thought a weapon was seen you'd be pretty psyched up then. Same goes for soldiers who shoot at shadows because they are so pumped up at being in a firefight. I have to agree that I would question his suitability based on what I have seen and also believe he may be facing criminal charges but unless you were there in their mental state at the time, its difficult to comment. Ive sort of been there, luckily we dont have firearms, pursuit at rush hour. Wrong side of road, car full of joy riders. Take the rural roads and crash. Im so full of adrenaline and anger that I sprint to the crashed car (dont even notice that the dog has been deployed and run straight in front of it) and drag the driver and a passenger out the car. They all end up getting slam dunked into the tarmac for their efforts and dont get any sympathy when they complain that cuffs are too tight etc It does funny things, but ultimately its the individual officer that has to justify their actions to the courts. If found guilty of excessive force, youll face an assault charge like any one else, or in the case of firearms officers (all in the US) attempt murder/murder/manslaughter EDIT TO ADD: But 3 shots, what was he a suicide bomber

OK, Im not going to through any specifics because I really dont know legislation or individual circumstances. But why, for example, if a multi million salary earning footballer who earnt his wealth off his own back using his own 'talent' and created a fantastic lifestyle for himself gets divorced from some girl he has to split a percentage of his earnings. ie. a certain % of current salary over whatever year period. Damn sponging bitches. Should get fuck all unless there is children involved in which case has a certain responsibility. But even a child doesnt need a multi million pound maintanence fee. They dont eat that much or get through that many clothes im sure!!! Is it just me that finds this odd or do people understand the rationale behind this. By the way: I know Im stereotyping. It could well be a wealthy woman and a sponging man

What a twat Hopefully he'll be someones bitch and they'll be fucking him

Hi, So my uncle has been down with his wonderous e-bay purchases and when he sees i'm keen hes given me one of his cameras. Its a Minolta X-700 and hes thrown in a 28-80mm Vivitar Lens. Now to me this doesnt mean a great deal but I understand its a minimal 'zoom' lens but the actual camera unit itself is pretty good. I was hoping to go and use this to get some nice landing photos at the DZ amongst other things (also into motorsport) I know its not modern with all bells & whistles but anyone got any experience with them? Im not really an accomplished photgrapher so its more to try and get some cool pictures and have a play with aperture/exposure settings etc. Any feedback on these?

Yes. It will be very interesting. Paticularly from what your saying. Impact factors can be used to justify force. For example if officer felt scared or threatened or other guy was bigger than him etc. But a gun not too sure thats justiifed. If anyone find out any more please let us know! Im not justifying his actions at all because from what we've seen its crazy. Lets see what the enquiry says

Base jumpers in ********** stunt 2.13PM, Thu Feb 2 2006 ***** has launched a probe after two men risked their lives by base jumping from the roof of ********* in ************* The jump was captured by a passerby, who, ironically, was scouting ********* for the next James Bond movie. Base jumping involves parachuting from tall buildings and structures rather than a plane. And this is not the first time such an incident has happened at ******** In 1992 a similar attempt ended in tragedy when base jumper Darren Newton fell to his death parachuting off ************ Erm... kinda makes for an annoying read when you edit all the location informration out

Yeah, that video asks alot of questions of the officer. Unless he genuinely believed he saw something. Videos too poor to make out if the lad was handcuffed or not. Either way. Looks like excessive use of force!

One of the reasons I joined up was when I realised they werent just fun crushing monsters. My Nan lived alone and was due to go on holiday. For this reason we had no reason to visit her or call her at home. Unfortunately the night before her going away she had a stroke and fell over banging her head on the table and was incapacitated in her home. Her friend was concerned when she didnt arrive and rang the police. They made enquiries with neighbours and then forced entry to her house and found her. Thankfully still alive though she had been lying there injured for a couple of days. If it wasnt for her friend and the police doing there job we might not have known until a good 3 weeks afterwards. It would have been dreadful if shed been in those conditions all that time. We only live 2 miles away. Well done guys & girls. Now im paying it forward Edit: to add photo. always hard at work
