Oooh, a Larry the Cable Guy reference.....and yes that was funny, need to clean the computer screen after that one. Hey Riggerrob, is this your FIRST April Fools post? Good one, that was pretty funny. Blues, Nathan Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

Sounds like you've made your decision and won't be taking advantage of the $14 jump ticket on the plane full of women. Your choice. Hope you enjoy the $18 loads. Like I said, the business has choices and so does the consumer. I suppose you're offended by Ladies' Night at the clubs? I (somewhat) understand your opinion, but this is marketing. The business is choosing a marketing population and hoping that their strategy will bring in the consumer base their looking for. If you don't like it, go elsewhere. Personally, I bet it works! I already want to go there, and I'm nowhere near there. Blues, Nathan Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

Hey, I'm a man and I think it's a great idea. I'd gladly pay a little extra per jump to be at the DZ where the sky chicks are!! After all, it's $14 per jump, still a great deal!! I may have to visit this summer!!! In all seriousness, not that the above is not true, but I believe a business owner has the right to run the business as he/she sees fit. If you don't like it, you have the option to go elsewhere, that's how the consumer gets their say. Of course a smart business owner is wary of consumer opinion and takes that into account, but I don't think this is really out of line. Just my .02. Are you really considering jumping a camera with only 47 jumps? If so, may I suggest you reconsider? Seems a little early to be thinking about a camera setup to me. Blues, Nathan Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

Dumbest thing you did skydiving
nbblood replied to cocheese's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Doing an RW 10-way at about 60 jumps (which I wasn't ready for), base funneled, when it got back together I got stuck in the burble, crashed into the DZO hard, blew the formation. Too aggressive on approach to the formation. It hurt, I lived, I learned, try like hell not to make that mistake again. www.ground-rush.com I don't know, I just like it, tons of links to anything and everything. Blues, Nathan Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute. -
In addition to the above, the scenes with Meg Ryan in "In the Cut" got my attention. Blues, Nathan Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

Welcome and congrats on your Beer....er....A license. You'll find there's quite a few of us in the military or retired military here. I'm personally in Korea right now and have the same no-jumping problem. Of course, now you can save up all that tax free income for a new rig. Come back safe, and once again, welcome. First of all, sorry if this has been posted before, but I haven't seen anything lately and I'm looking for fresh opinions. I'm trying to decide whether or not I'm ready to get into rigging. I've only been in the sport for about 3 years and I only have 250 jumps. I'm around for the long haul and want to get more involved in the sport. I want to make myself more marketable for a DZ in the future. I'm already pursuing my coach rating and planning a course for other ratings, but I'm also very interested in rigging. I study and read a lot about gear and rigging and feel I'm pretty knowledgeable for my experience level. I also routinely ask questions and observe work that riggers do. But, I realize this is a big step with lots of responsibility and I don't want to be a rigger that doesn't know what they're talking about. Before I attempt to attain a rigger certificate, I want to be overprepared. There's so much I don't know now. So, my question(s) is/are, when is an appropriate time to get into rigging and what should I be doing now to prepare myself for achieving this goal? I'm not in any rush and I'm willing to spend the time, effort and $$ to get it right. I realize there is a lot of overhead in time and $$ to get it right and that's what I want to do. What is a reasonable timeframe to make a goal for the rigger's course? Thanks for your input. Blues, Nathan Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

I bought a used Aviator FF helmet that was pretty badly scratched and had some holes drilled in it etc., I sanded it down, went to Walmart and got some Bondo and filled in the deep scratches and holes, re-sanded it, then took it to an auto body guy. For $40 he painted it my custom color and it looked brand new and I loved it. Of course, since then it's got battle scars and they're ok too, I can always get it painted again. Many people paint helmets themselves too. Think about a custom job and match your gear while you're at it. Just a thought. Yep, what they all said, everybody likes different stuff. I personally have owned Michigan, Tony, Air Affair and Bev Suits and have been quite happy with them all. With that said, my Bev suits (RW and FF) are my favorites. Blues, Nathan Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

I hope this becomes a yearly tradition! It was awesome meeting and jumping with all you guys. Oh, and special thanks to Brad and Sher who worked their asses off to make this happen and make it fun for everybody! You guys rock! It just keeps getting better and better! I'm already looking forward to getting back to Mesquite when I get out of here! Looking forward to another Lucky Boogie next year too! See ya all there! I'm not a regular but I have had a chance to visit Skydive Oregon twice. You'll love it, it's an awesome DZ. I like to check out all the DZs and hopefully I'll get a chance to check out the others in the area some day too. Kapowsin is another great DZ and not too far from there. You're lucky going to a relatively DZ rich environment. But Skydive Oregon is a great place. Of course they have the waiver from hell (go an hour early the first time.....just kidding), but you only have to do it once. Enjoy. What's wrong with options? So we have decisions to make, it's great to have a choice. Keep in mind, some places don't have any of these great options. Can't make em all, but we can try can't we? Blues, Nathan Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

Wow, I didn't know that. I had to leave Sunday morning. I signed her logbook and checked out her pro-track that said 261 on a jump and she told me she was working on speed. Wasn't there for the mishap though. Hope everything is alright. Oh, and don't forget she owes beer for the first jump at Skydive Mesquite too!! Jeanne, let us know how you're doing. Hope everything is alright. Blues, Nathan Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.

3:13:1 Simulation exercise at Fort Bragg ended a little early and allowed me to sneak away to the Skydive Mesquite Boogie
