Ogden Skydiving Center in Utah. It is a towered DZ and skydiving is NOT the primary function of the airport. Get along just fine, but we do clear with the tower before crossing the runway. Never been to Hawaii, but you might want to check this out. There's always more fish in the sea. I found at least three DZs there. This one has a King Air and sounds like it caters to fun jumpers, i.e., team rooms, packers, packing space, etc. Sounds a little more like what you're looking for. Depending on when I leave here, I may be there during that time too. I'm planning on flying through there and stopping for a day or two just to make a couple jumps there. So maybe I'll see you there. I have a Sabre2 170 and a Sabre 170. I echo the importance of flying your body after pull time. It was an eye opener for me on what I was doing after pull time when I got the Sabre2. In the end I'm better for it, as now I'm aware and fly through deployment, not just to pull time. I was having line twists and off heading openings on nearly every jump until somebody made me aware of what I was doing to cause it. I also learned, I wasn't completing the flare all the way through the stroke. I found with my other canopy, I was only flaring to about chest level. The Sabre2 helped me learn to continue the flare through the end. I know other people that have ditched their Sabre2's due to bad openings,i.e., line twists, off heading, but my personal opinion is that it wasn't the canopy, it was the pilot. One guy at my DZ chopped his 3 times in a row. But his video, that he was wearing, clearly showed he peeked at the PC after tossing. Hi, I also know of a diabetic at our DZ. Great guy, really good skydiver. Anyway, enough of us know of his condition that if something weren't right we would notice. I recommend letting some people know of your condition and what to look for if your blood sugar gets low and what action to take. Monitor yourself carefully. I think the other suggestions were great. Yeah, I wait til somebody asks me what it is and say, "It's a parachute. They didn't issue you one too?" You can get interesting reactions that way. I've done both. If I'm staying continental US, I'd carry on. If I go international I check it, because invariably I get somebody that doesn't speak good english that wants me to open the main and reserve and I have a big mess. I bought a used Infinity for my wife. It is a great rig. I also echo the customer service applause. Over time I've had some questions about certain things on the rig. They've always been super friendly, fast, and helpful with their responses. I personally jump a different container, but the Infinity's are great rigs, in my limited experience. In addition to the above, I always look for what type aircraft the DZ has. A lot of sites don't have that and sometimes causes me to go somewhere else. Also, get linked into the DZ.com network and ground-rush.com network and there's a couple others where people look for links to DZs.
