  1. Shite! And I was just about to 'go on the wagon' ************************************************* RED LIGHTS & OFF LANDINGS ARE JUST MY THANG http://www.redlightrob.co.uk
  2. Had one same! Was riding Mt bike around the hill of Aviemore, Scotland. A pack of 6 brightly clolured man shapes pass, expecting me to 'move over' and showing their dissappreciation by the 'facial distortion insult' Anyway, about 5-6 miles down I then see them again, stationary at a junction. Turns out, they've fuckin lost their way So, as anyone would, I offered them directions in the 'one fingered manner' SHEER BLISS ************************************************* RED LIGHTS & OFF LANDINGS ARE JUST MY THANG http://www.redlightrob.co.uk
  3. That is one BIG POLO MINT OR One of Gandalf's smoke rings
  4. I did mean 'freefall' I'll give empuria a try, that weould be cool if they deducted my S/L training. The reason behind it all is that I checked th eDropzones link and the only DZ in Morocco listed only does AFF. But, thinkin on it, I could probably do some jumps there anyway, no matter what level I attain before going.
  5. I'm in UK but was thinkin of tripping to Spain to carry on training ************************************************* RED LIGHTS & OFF LANDINGS ARE JUST MY THANG http://www.redlightrob.co.uk
  6. Ok, I've done 2 S/L jumps, I want to get to a stage where I can jump FF anywhere. I'm off to Morocco at the end of February and want to jump while I'm there. Should I... start AFF from scratch Progress with S/L training What is the minimum level that would allow me to do this?? ************************************************* RED LIGHTS & OFF LANDINGS ARE JUST MY THANG http://www.redlightrob.co.uk
  7. I'll drink from the Camel's hump if I have to!! This will be my fourth desert
  8. In UK, several charities have this on offer, Basically, you raise say, a minimum amount (normally £360). You then jump for free, Either Tandem or S/L. The cost of the training and jump are deducted from the sponsorship cash and the charity take the remainder. I paid fro mine out of my own pocket and encouraged my friends to jump for me. I've now introduced 8 people to the sport, 5 of which are carry it on. they have contributed a whole lot towards the £2000 I needed to do this trek, so, if there are any of them out there..... Get lost, you aint gettin your money back If anyone wants th edetails, drop me a P/M and i'll get back to you. (Hope i'm not breaching forum rules
  9. Yep, Your'e right it is Ouarzazate! Too many Z's I don't excel in the French language but I'm VERY interested in jumping in/ around Marrakech. I'm chilling there for a few days after the trek (assuming I complete it) Which is why (re: my post in general skydiving discussions) I want to get off that S/L before then. If you can put me in touch with one of the French jumpers, I would be extremely grateful ************************************************* RED LIGHTS & OFF LANDINGS ARE JUST MY THANG http://www.redlightrob.co.uk
  10. I've done a couple of S/L jumps and have been recommended to do 'dummy pull' on next jump. My previous exits, canopy control and landing have been very good. As I live in Scotland and the weather is S**te at the moment, I was thinkin of getting on a cheap flight to Spain or the like to do this. My question is 1. Can I do this? 2. can someone recommend a good (Spanish or otherwise)DZ where the weather is good at present? 3. Once I have pulled 'for real' (no S/L) can I then jump from DZ's that do AFF but no S/L Hope they're not stupid questions but I am very new to the sport. Your replies will be much appreciated
  11. Thanks for the welcome. I'm trekkin 120km from Ourzarte crossing flats and climbing dunes up to 50m high, chilling out at Oases. We've Berbers to guide us I've been out of training for a month now due to Xmas and all but all of a sudden, the leave date is fast approaching and I've suddenly realised that I need to 'get down the gym' In aid of Scottish Society for Autism. I hope I make it!
  12. I always thought the word 'gay' described someone as happy and joyful with a pleasant demeanour. My friends are very happy to be described ion this way. There's always one though. ************************************************* RED LIGHTS & OFF LANDINGS ARE JUST MY THANG http://www.redlightrob.co.uk
  13. Did RAPS at Skydive St Andrews. Not been able to get any jumps in since second as weather has been crap, I'm so eager to freefall ************************************************* RED LIGHTS & OFF LANDINGS ARE JUST MY THANG http://www.redlightrob.co.uk
