I spent a lot of time swooping on a sabre2 170, its not the wing its tthe pilot... the sabre 2 allowed me to learn how to ease out the fronts instead of dropping them, learn accuracy concepts in swooping and not fuck up my back smacking into the raft during the raft round of the swoop meet... so try the same size...I love my Xfire2 I think it is a good move, but I tried the same size first....and then downsized... Germain got me landing on my rears early this spring..he said it was hooking for rears... I have been using em since (except when I need to bail which is somewhat rare these days) and it really changed my distance :-) Dave try it, it is something you need to do anyway. try it on the canopy you are used to. landing with rears is not a big deal, it is more a big deal in your head. kinda like when you did your first low hop and pop.

I hope so. It still goes back to my belief that we should all compete together; however, there should be some fairness. I load my Velo 120 at around 2.3:1 with no weight beyond what God, some pizza and beer, gave me. Now I have a guy (or girl) jumping a Velo/VX/Xaos/JVX/Whatever 70 with 30lbs of lead to get a 2.2:1 wingloading. They could most definately beat me by outflying me (not hard), BUT they are still at a distinct disadvantage. Seperating the sexes for full competition isn't the answer, but leveling the playing field would be good so we could all still compete together. Even if that's seperated by weight classes. Light weight, Heavy weight and Unlimited classes would be fun. I think a decent majority would jump in the unlimited class, though. see now this idea intrigues me...
