  1. I hear ya Sunny. It looks like Martin/St. Lucie countys are going to take it the shorts again. My house in Orlando got hit by both Charley and Frances. The house in Stuart was hit by Frances and now looks like Jeane is about to do her thing on me again. Stay low and good luck through this one. GW685,D3888,C5052,SCS843
  2. Do you know of someone that can't pronounce "nuclear" properly, then? -------------------------------------------------------- You asked the question and I answered it. The thread title has nothing to do with it. I am not inferring anything just answering your question. GW685,D3888,C5052,SCS843
  3. Do you know of someone that can't pronounce "nuclear" properly, then? -------------------------------------------- Former president Jimmy Carter could not pronounce it and he was in the Nuclear Navy. It wasn't an issue then nor should it be now. GW685,D3888,C5052,SCS843
  4. Wright Patterson AFB an option? Near home and SGC. GW685,D3888,C5052,SCS843
  5. Your right, crossing my eyes the images came in quick but made them inverted (Concave) going into the page. Taking my time and doing it your way the images were coming out of the page and were easy to identify. Now I can see both a positive and negative. Cool! GW685,D3888,C5052,SCS843
  6. 30 days for a President, instituted by Eisenhower in 1955 GW685,D3888,C5052,SCS843
  7. Thanks, the crossing tour eyes makes them come into view quicker but except for #2 I 'm not sure what I'm seeing. Are the images supposed to come out at you or go in? I can only see them as going in. GW685,D3888,C5052,SCS843
  8. Hell YES I'm DRUNK!!! What did you think I was a STUNT DRIVER!! GW685,D3888,C5052,SCS843
  9. Amalia (Lee), We'll be home the 26th through the 7th. Don't give my room away.
  10. I only picked up 1 pound per year over the last 30years. Now I"m a whopping 150lbs. I jumped my wife's old short-lined Pap last month and did kinda wonder how it would be in tennis shoes instead of "Frenchies." Stood it up in the peas though.( just like riding a bike) GW685,D3888,C5052,SCS843

  12. quote:....... as long as everything works as illustrated in the manufacturer's manual :). It's those instances where things don't go according to plan that would put even the most capable 13 year olds at risk of killing themselves. __________________________________________________ Yeah, I sure am glad my first malfuctions were at 14 years old and not 13. 13. No Classic yet but I did jump the Papillon a couple weeks ago GW685,D3888,C5052,SCS843
  14. Thirty nine years ago I was 13. Five static lines then a 20 second freefall. Probably the first ever form of AFF. A couple more "AFF's" and I was on my own. My older brother did the same, he was 14 then. Duh? And OBTW.. We had waivers and were members of PCA..now called USPA GW685,D3888,C5052,SCS843
  15. It's a military Hymn. Don't know the original origin but I do know it was used a lot in Army Aviation in the sixties. The military is where I first heard it and I have been around skydiving since 1961. OBTW... it's Hymn, Hymn F**K Him. GW685,D3888,C5052,SCS843
  16. ------------------------------------------------------------ I agree, Do NOT sell. I sold all my old gear years ago. My wife refused to sell hers. It has been in the attic for over 25 years. I pulled it out last month and checked it all out. Everything was as she left it 25 years ago( with the exception of all of the rubber bands were dry rotted in the main and reserve). Well after a good inspection, repack and some minor maintenance it was ready to go. I jumped it two weeks ago and what a Hoot!! Most of the people there had: -Never seen a round. -Never seen shot and a halfs. -Never saw a chest mount reserve. -Never seen a spring loaded pilot chute. There was much speculation from the current generation: -Would it work? -Would I land in the same county? -Would I remember how to do a PLF? They have heard all the horror stories from the old days and I did look like something out of an old museum but..... ...after a stand up landing.... in the peas...many of the old myths and stories were put to rest.....and.....ROUNDS ARE FUN!!!! Boy am I glad she did not sell
  17. Thanks for the tip! I'll contact them. They can be VNVAK #2 & #3 GW685,D3888,C5052,SCS843
  18. ***I can think of rather a few children of DZOs who were world-class skydivers before they could legally drive a car. There's a BSR thas says they can't? Maybe it would apply if they were USPA members, but I doubt that they are/were. ------------------------------------------------------------ USPA member in 67 or 68, C5052, Age 14 or 15 Can't remember for sure. 19. I can't verify these but here are Some Interesting quotes by democratic leaders. >"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line." - President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998 >"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program." - President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998 >"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face." - Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998 >"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983." - Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998 >"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs." - Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl Levin (D-MI), Tom Daschle (D-SD), John Kerry( D - MA), and others Oct. 9, 1998 >"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." - Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998 >"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies." Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999 >"There is no doubt that ... Saddam Hussein has invigorated his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies." >- Letter to President Bush, Signed by Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL,) and others, December 5, 2001 >"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and the means of delivering them." - Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002 >"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country." - Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002 >"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power." - Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002 >"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction." >- Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002 >"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..." - Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002 >"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force-- if necessary-- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security." - Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002 >"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction." - Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002 >"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do" - Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002 >"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members.. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons." - Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002 >"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction." - Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002 >"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction. ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real." - Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003 >SO NOW THESE SAME DEMOCRATS SAY PRESIDENT BUSH LIED--THAT THERE NEVER WERE ANY WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION AND HE TOOK US TO WAR UNECESSARILY! GW685,D3888,C5052,SCS843
