it depends on the day and previous weatehr. If it has been raining i will wear boots... with no snags, or if they do have snags cover them up. Jeremy your still using a radio? Not going to give advice here, caseu we have the same number of jumps, but at gold coast we have mike brown, or gear guy, talk us down... when i was on radio that is. But there was a fewtimes wehre the instrustor i jumped with talked me down and they laned right next to me. lol, yeah man i have been lucky and have come adroos some great gear... like: 65 gibson in mint condition 69 twin reverb.... oh baby this thing is mean old ibanez ts9, and cs9 early 60's fender strat, don tremeber the exact year. i have to agree with you here, i am a mear student in this sport and i have caught chest straps already. one this weekend. But at the same time i have been caught once with mine routed the wrong way. Some one saved my life, why, cause someone was concious enough to notice the small details we ofetn overlook. I alwas ask for a pin check and double and tripple check my rings and straps. And most of the time i am give the people i am jumping with a pin check as well. 1. like said before it wasnt a stragic place or spot, i mean it is freaking flat land with nothing around for miles and miles. But it was a state of mind. Example: vietnam, we the americans never lost a major engagment, but most people say we lost the war. Why? casue we lost the war at home, people didnt want to fight. (not trying to stir stuff up about vietnam, just an example so lets stay on track). The comander who made that statment probly saw it as if they lost that battle, then the texans would not want to fight, that they would be discouraged, and even scared. But it was exactly the oposite, it became a war cry. Why didnt santa anna go around it? casue he was stupid.... but when you go around an enemy emcampment you stand the risk of having those people who you passed coming back and hitting you in the weakest part, the rear. That is probaly one of the reasons. 2. why shoot the band, it would have just been a waist of valuable amunition. anyways, just my opinioons and observations. sweet dude. when i used to gig for a living i played 2 les pauls. They are great guitars, and can take the hasards of the road forsure!
