    If you're talking about the one of the dude that cut the head of his own dick off, then yeah, that was pretty disturbing. The seriously sick part was the surgical precision he did it with. This wasn't just a spur of the moment, lop it off with a cleaver thing. He spent a lot of time preparing and executing. Dude really got into it.

    The Reuters headline reads "Parts of Texas capital closed after dead birds found." And they continually refer to the "capital" throughout the article. Way to go Reuters. Oh, and LM, I know they're opening back up an noon, but what are the chances that any restaurants will actually be prepared to serve food at noon? Sucky McSuck, methinks.

    Nobody seems to be sure of anything at this point. I've heard a lot of speculation (that's what people do, after all) and the prevailing theory seems to be that someone poisoned them. The fact that the legislative session starts tomorrow may or may not have anything to do with it as well. The story has already made CNN, as well as several major newspapers. We're all interested to find out what the heck it was. And I just realized, this is going to put a serious damper on my lunch.

    Dozens of dead birds were discovered in downtown Austin this morning, causing most of the area to be shut down. Clicky. Of course, my workplace is just barely outside of the shut down area. The building right next door to me is shut down, but mine isn't. So if you don't hear from me for a while, it's probably because I contracted avian flu.
