    well, the same could be said for USC. An illegal procedure and a delay of game at the end of the second half. Both teams have made mistakes, but I think they've both played to their potential. In this case, barring any spectacularly stupid mistakes in the last few minutes, the better team will win the game. Man, that hurts to say...

    I'm actually a bit pissed about that myself. They had to hurry to get the next play started so it couldn't be reviewed and ended up missing the extra point. I'd hate to see that affect the outcome of the game.

    Dammit, I was actually thinking about that game when I made that post, but I thought "no one cares enough to do that research." I was wrong. But given the flow of the game so far, I still stick to my point.

    actually, what's really important here is that there was a leap second at the end of 2005. Apparently the earths conveyor belt experiences a bit of friction and can't keep up with our clocks. See, the earth's rotation speed is not necessarily equal to the ground speed through space. And I'm sure all of our planes taking off doesn't help.

Yeah, it'll go back and forth a few times, but both teams are talented enough, and mentally strong enough not to let it get to them.     This is my favorite argument for USC. "They are good now because they've been good for a while now." Simple fact: This USC team has won 12 games. That's it. They are not the same team that won last year, or the year before that. Yes, there are common elements, but they are not the same team. If this were last year's USC team I'd be a lot less confident, but it's not.
