wow i had heard about this, but only just now saw the video, here.... I am repulsed !!! this man should NOT be allowed to continue to Judge ANYone,,,,, statute of limitations or Not..... he is vicious. The wife too, by the way ,,,,, is a P.O.S. "bend over and take it like a grown woman" HUH!!!??????. i got the sense that the Wife is likely a sexual masochist......If this is normal , in their household... when the man said, (paraphrased) "bend over on that bed, or i'll beat you in the 'fuckin' face' " , i wanted to charge through the screen and strangle him with his own belt !!... makes me believe that More than once... he HAS beaten her in the face.... True enough i AM a child of the 50's and our DAd ( whom i LOVE ) would from time to time, when OUR behavior warranted it, take off his belt and hit us.. But it was never more than once, and never with such malice...... that video shows a REAL problem and the young Woman was very brave to post it.... You KNOW that such "beatings" ... ( The man called them Just THAT.. " I'm gonna BEAT you !!! ) occured before then , as well as likely, After then,,, which could be WHY the girl had a video camera set up AND rolling, before the Guy even entered the room .. That was the best self defense she could muster.... WHY the HELL didn't she reveal that video?? long before now???? pathetic display of parenting....i'm disgusted by it...i shut down the video before it passed the 4 minute mark... i had seen ENOUGH

nice post. i got into this sport with NO intention of doing it for a lifetime... a LONG life time.. it simply has turned out that way.... started with written log book(s).. seemed to work Ok.. so i have continued.. i like the idea of being accurate in MANY things.. and so always bristled at the folks. who completed one season with say,, 6 hundred jumps and started the next.. with NINE hundred jumps... and so on and so on... You don't have to log the jump the instant you land.... Instead i try to update soon thereafter and certainly before the next visit to the DZ... as other have mentioned,,, it's fun to pick up any one of the dozen books i have and read and re-read notes and descriptions of Jumps that happened decades ago... but which can be "brought back to my minds eye".. today !!! it REALLY does work that way...

just bought a HDR- cx150 at a local pawn shop... camera , charger, and battery.. 200 bucks. USD> i HAVE the output cables since i have a cx 110 and also have a few memory sticks that are compatible ..so felt that the "non complete" package was still a sensible deal at 2 bills... good luck to the O P ,,, in the search. jmy

real nice. Columbus Day weekend has always been great for jumping ANYwhere in New York State or in the entire Northeast..for that matter the sun seems brighter the air denser, the smiles wider... plus packing , in more comfortable temperatures, sure beats doing the same in july at 90 degrees... i got My work done yesterday and made the hour + drive to Frontier.. near Niagara Falls, got there around 3, climbing to 12 five by a quarter to four.... to enjoy a jump. In years past, with the otter, we always did 16 ways on columbus day..,,,as we worked the early day tandems,,,we'd be winking to each other,, and whispering..." big way later".. . The ground looks like a bowl of trix, and it's cool but not cold at altitude and so yes... jump in autumn.. whenever you can jrmrangers, you should know that you're very lucky to jump where you do. Big airplanes and lots of 'em . On site Professionals for every department. every. really nice hangar, fun staff, fun customers... No wonder they consistantly create dozens of A license holders, each year...

I think this world has been going "to Hell In a Hurry"..... the internet simply helps to SHOW this,,to be True... more easily... Such a Potentially USEFUL tool.. for educating, for sharing of knowledge, and for effective world wide communication..... It DOES accomplish that, to a limited extent.. BUT it also helps to show the idiocy, the vulgarity and the thoughtlessness of sooo many.... Add the proliferation of "on the spot video" now so readily avaiable ANd easily downloaded and the slipperly slope has become a waterfall of craziness.... Can anyone explain to me WHY there has been virtually NO control ??? over what can and can't be shown, posted, and accessed??? on the w. w. w. ( Yes i KNOW.. 'freedon of speech" ) It seems sad, to me. that instead of becoming a useful and effective means of communication, becoming a way for important notices and educational subjects to be shared.. the news media and the internet in general has deteriorated to a farcical and gratutitous means of distraction and absurdity.... me too..... as long as there have been cell phones, i always try to make the call to say,,,,,,,, I am "safe and sound and On the ground".... THEN she KNOWs that the real trouble will soon be starting!!!!! though i keep my wits about me cause' my 72 mile drive seems to always includes running past a trooper or two, who are shooting radar...and who Love to have a reason to stick their Nose....inside my vehicle....... ( those bastards!!!! ) I think it does bother her when i go and she DOEs get nervous.. but it isn't a nasty nervous it's a caring nervous... and still..... she can TELL when i NEED to make a jump or two...and never prevents my enjoyment of my hobby.... she's a keeper...... jimmy

we have joint accounts.. i deposit into them she withdraws outta them.... actually we have a joint savings account and each try to put some $$$$ into THAT, whenever we can. we try to grow that account, so rarely withdraw from it. then there are 2 checking accounts. where Nancy is primary and i am secondary.... and one checking account where it is the opposite..we usually work well together to be sure all the bills get paid.... i also have a business account which She never really deals with.... i'm closing in on my check number 10,000 having been written... Sometimes the balance get's "thin', but i never bounced a check out of it...been using it for 27 years now. oh we also have a " cookie jar" account, which pays NO interest, but which offers us ready cash, ala an ATM machine... which Never IN MY LIFE!!!!!! have i used...hahahah. The cookie Jar funds are usually added to , by Me... but we both "draw from them" if needed....i don't mind,, as long as she tells me.. when she takes anything....Just like i always know what my exact number of jumps might be,,,even as it changes.... i also know to the Dollar... what's in the slush fund... as for ATM's i would never trust a machine to take a deposit and feel it's a good way to bleed your accounts dry.... if you're constantly stopping to "grab 100 bucks ".... so i still do my banking , in person with the tellers... My daily schedule allows for banking during the hours that they are open... I still believe in,,, "if it ain't broke,, don't FIX it".. jmy

were Her plans to make a skydive in Place... BEFORE you met her??? ..or did you influence that idea?? Was the place where you met, AT a dropzone... or some Other establishment...?? it's always fun to meet someone , with whom you can BE instantly comfortable.... so that part is good. i won't speak to the age differnece ,, though if YOu were 39 and she was 29......that would be a bit more palatable than you being 29 while she is 19... Does she live in the Home of her parent(s) ?? THAT factors in too.... ( in which case... gooo slow ) anyway.... skydive safely , wish her well for HER jump... be careful not to misinterpret her enthusiam for the sport,,,, as enthusiam for YOU... !!! ps I too was 19 and never in a plane when i enjoyed MY first jump.....!... thinking back, i wouldda been a Happy HAPPY Boy !! had i met a 29 year old Woman !!!...... at that time...with whom i "clicked" .. but THAT's a different scenario...hahahah !!! As it was,, instead,, i met a Bunch of different and interesting people,, male AND female, Young AND old.....many of whom encouraged me to continue with Skydiving.. and THAT was a good thing!!!... good luck.. jmy

word.......... speaking as a 2 -3 on the scale of the O P, i'd say that the O P is concentrating on the wrong things ,,, right now... get safely INTO the sport... behave yourself and show some respect to your intructors AND to any experienced jumpers you might encounter... the DZ isn't supposed to be a meat market and Many Woman Skydivers who realize that,,,, would likely be put OFF by the concept...on which the O P seems to place such a high priority just sayin'....

WHAT the hell is "a packing certificate" ??? i haven't ever heard of such a thing... There might now be some some sort of "getting signed off" deal , regarding packing ability...... for the A License. But that should be accomplished within the first couple of dozen pack jobs.......right?? anyway,,, curious, as to where you are located...( not specific dz... just generally ) ps. who has the rigger rating needed, to supervise the packers?? jmy A 3914 D12122

i don't care what anyone says,,,, seeing a bat flying around is creepy and to me at least,,, sorta scarey !!!.... for such a small animal the way it moves( fies) makes a shiver run down my back. HAd one in the house a couple of years ago.. i took a bath towel and was able to toss it over the top of him/her... while IT was sitting on the edge of a table,,, then gathered the whole thing up... gently, so i would NOT crush it, and hauled it all outside the house and shook it free.......ughhhh.... Man !! that freaked me Out !!!.. good luck.. jt
