some jumpers at a dz that i went to in the early 70's bought something called a "Guardian" rig... available in multi colors and usually with a chest mounted reserve... looked a lot like the pics in the original post.. jmy

EggLands BEST.... maybe a buck a dozen more.... but a dozen eggs is still a decent bargain, and every few days,, or maybe on a weekend morning... with a little toast and coffee... Nice way to start a day.. If you like them hard boiled... then there is no oil or butter or bacon grease, in which they get cooked... AND you don't Have to eat the entire yolk... if you don't want.saves the fat calories.. and you still get good protien. NOW if you go adding a half a pound of bacon, and some cinnamon buns, or donuts... or hashbrows or go putting LOTS of jelly on the toast !!!!!... That's when the "healthy-o-meter".. can start going crazy.... I too like 4 eggs.."over medium" many a waitress has looked at me disapprovingly, when i order from THEIR menus...."Two Eggs & Toast Twice"... sorry but they don't OFFER Four Eggs and double toast. so how ELSE could i do it.....??? whereabouts is Tuxedo NY???? I have a nephew who entered one of these races last fall... he did Great.... i think he finished 3rd in his race... Dan Tavino.. all 4 of his Uncles... running it as a relay race.. could NOT have come close to Dans' accomplishment,, ps ... as it was explained to me.... sorry to hear that she is "broke" .... But BEFORE all this child bearing began.... i have a sad suspicion that she was "broken"...in the first place... in some cases a child is conceived to make up for some loss or something lacking ( or perceived by the woman, to be lacking ) in the persons' life... too often a woman may think that "a child to love" is the answer to her problems..... i'd spend 50 dollars on top shelf lobster tails..for a nice family dinner, linguini with tomato sauce and lobster meat....... i'd give 150 dollars to each of my kids , to fill their gas tanks 3 times... i'd take 100 dollars and treat my wife and myself to the movies 5 times....

still would NEED an OUTside videoperson to get That very photo..... yes.. i made over 1,200 jumps... and she never knew about it..... of course, that's because we hadn't yet MET !!!! each other !!!.... Since meeting her, in Novemebr of 1980.... i made another 2 thousand...for many of those She was on the DZ ,,, for others,,, not. ONE was WITH her... when she declared.. "i'm ready to make a tandem jump".. It was memorial day weekend, 2004..... and so we did.. That was a wonderful skydive.....

lots of good comments about canopy flight and deep brakes flight as well, here but i'm gonna comment about ANy DZ that would have a golf cart available , with a staff person to drive it ,,, and which sends that Golf Cart out to ANyone.....who may have just had 'an ugly landing'... "Pick a person with a little sympathy in their heart, and not some "expert" who would take it upon themselves to critique that poor bastard,, who is already in a flustered state of mind" as for "I can and will take an ass chewing when deserved....." no Sir.. unless you're jumping at a military Dz with full regular miltary procedures,,,at any Civilian DZ you do NOT have to take that treatment. if i get this right... you landed at a distance away.. you noted obstacles,, responded to them and succeeded at NOT hitting them.. right??? could any of those who blasted you... have been able to seeeee underneath YOU as you performed your touchdown?? i doubt it...
