  1. The idea that the response to the covid pandemic can be used to draw a single conclusion he draws. He doesn't see people wearing masks on their own in Texas because people don't wear masks anywhere in Texas, because the brainwashed republican voting collective is anti-science, anti-medical establishment and anti-anything not said by Trump. He sees people wearing masks on their own in New York because it's the middle of winter and if they're actually pretty good at keeping your face warm. Liberals who follow scientific advice and have one with them anyway might as well keep using them. So I can't remember seeing you ever put forward an independent thought on this forum I'm not surprised you unquestioningly accepted Craven's theory like a good little republican lapdog.
  2. Who do you think you're fooling? The article describes liberals as fearful, irrational, childish, obsessive, incapable of understanding science and much more. Find me one description of conservatives with negative connotations in there. This ploy you have of posting something intentionally outrageous and then immediately backing away to a much more modest position which you can look reasonable defending against the angry mob is beyond transparent. It's straight out of the 'radical right wing trolling for dummies' playbook.
  3. That's a misconception. Ron may never be mean to an individual but he is intensely mean spirited and insulting towards wider groups to which many here belong.
  4. Then why are you still talking? Seriously, why? If you're unable to defend it and lack the moral fibre to even commit to saying whether you even agree with it then what is the point of this thread? What is the point of your further posts? What is the point of your participation in any part of this forum except to troll?
  5. So if she had succeeded in doing what she was actively trying to do, it would have been ok for the cops to shoot her? That's quite a turnaround from your original statement. If you didn't even believe your onw claim that she was as innocent as Taylor then what justification is there for posting it aside from outrageous racist trolling? A ) You have no coherent message. B ) The only thing silencing you is that you're too much of a snowflake to be able to tolerate fully justified criticism.
  6. Unfortunately you don't need to buy that. It's a real thing that really happens.
  7. Breonna Taylor was an innocent woman, nothing more, nothing less. Ashli Babbitt was a woman who was trespassing inside the Capitol and was in the process of trying to break through the final barricade behind which Capitol Police were protecting United States Congressmen. The only two reasons you would say she was innocent are if you're looking for a reaction or because she's white. Since I doubt you'll ever admit to trolling I guess I'll have to assume you're just racist. Good for you.

    THE Vaccine

In lighter news, just about the dumbest anti-vaxxer statement ever (stiff competition I know) has been posted. Riccardo Ricco, a committed doper from the Lance Armstrong era, and man who once almost died from self transfusing a bag of spoiled blood that had been in his fridge for too long (yes, this is absolutely true) has had a sudden reversal from his cavalier attitude to medicine, stating "I have read many people that say that the vaccine must be obligatory!!!! Are we joking!!! I do what I want with my body. Nobody can make me do something that if it were to have a negative effect on my body, I would be the only one that would lose. So: You can get injected with who knows what shit too, but don’t fuck [over] people like me that have been well informed (by doctor friends) and that are not going to take a damn vaccine. Over and out.” Very amusing article here: https://cyclingtips.com/2021/01/riccardo-ricco-doesnt-want-to-be-injected-with-who-knows-what/
  9. I'm curious, is this simple delusion or deliberate bad taste trolling for a reaction?
  10. Ok, let’s blame them. Trump is one of them. Trump is still the issue.
  11. They own none of it. They didn’t do any of it. You did it. It’s your fault. Man. Up.
  12. Isn’t that just the fun bit? In that case with the process already underway I’m sure the veep’s second letter would still be accepted and if challenged the courts would rule in their favour. The process as enumerated in the constitution can only work if the veep stays veep and the cabinet stays the cabinet.
  13. Sorry, you're right. Typically for your Constitution, the language is unclear In practical terms you'd hope it shouldn't be an issue anyway since there's no reason a veep with his shit together couldn't get a second letter delivered 5 minutes after the President delivers his. Assuming they would be that sensible is probably wishful thinking though.
  14. That was my thought. I did wonder about the odds of 3 people in a maskless gathering of that size dying of Covid but that's more likely something they get to look forward to in the next few weeks to take their minds off hiding from the authorities.
  15. No, there is no ambiguity. As soon as Trump's letter reaches the House and Senate leaders he is President again. As soon as Pence and the Cabinet's second letter reaches the House and Senate leaders (if they choose to transmit one, which can be done at any time in a 4 day window following Trump's letter - it doesn't 'take' 4 days if they don't want it to) then Pence is acting President again. Again, this is not ambiguous. Somewhat unusually for your Constitution, the language is crystal clear. I guess the only question would be what if the returning President immediately orders the arrest of the VP or any significant portion of the Cabinet before they are able to sign a second letter. Wouldn't that be fun!
  16. That was weeks ago. No way he still remembers that. "Cognitive test? What do you mean I took a cognitive test?"
  17. It's both, kinda. Timeline is; 1) Pence + Cabinet write to Senate and House, Pence is immediately Acting President. 2) Trump writes to House and Senate, Trump is immediately President again. 3) Pence + Cabinet write a second time within 4 days, Pence is immediately acting President again until Congress votes or 21 term days pass. Cool system guys. Not convoluted at all. Although on second thought I guess it makes sense when it covers all kinds of temporary incapacitations also.
  18. Since the Congressional offices were just looted doesn't his anecdote mean he put himself in more danger? Ironically it would have been safer if he'd stayed in his condo all day and night instead of going to the Capitol - safer for him and for democracy.
  19. I mean, obviously it turns out that yesterday he still mattered, but now that's done he definitely doesn't matter any more and nothing bad can possibly happen because of his influence. Not again, anyway. For real this time, pinky swear.
  20. A BBC reporter spoke to someone who claimed to have been one of the first into the Capitol and they asked how much they had planned in advance. He said basically nothing, but when they saw how few policemen were on the barricades they decided on the spur of the moment that it looked totally doable and just went for it.
  21. Why would you need Generals instigating it for it to be a coup attempt? Coups don't have to be military, if they were then the phrase 'military coup' wouldn't need to exist.
  22. But you are, and they don't. Not a bit of Trump's entirely predictable and predicted insanity do they own. You own it. All of it.
  23. You think? I wonder if I can remember to use this rationale on you every time you disagree with anything the democrats have done and see how much you agree with it then. Gun control? Your fault. Obamacare? Your fault. Sanctuary cities? Your fault. Clinton pardoning Seth Rich? So your fault!
  24. You cannot possibly believe that you get to blame Trump's actions and the Republican party's sycophancy on the Democrats. It is an empty and self-serving viewpoint. I mean seriously, not that Republicans have any real principles these days but if they did, shouldn't personal responsibility be one of them? Take some fucking responsibility for what you and your political fellows did. If you decide to jump off a cliff and a passerby isn't physically strong enough to stop you, your injuries are not his fault. It's all your fault.
