  1. Yep, just wait for Biden's inauguration like everyone else.
  2. Bill, what's the population of the USA?
  3. None. Hoofed animals are well known for being unable to use tools. I guess you're a city slicker! Your own arguments suggest otherwise.
  4. I was wondering when this might crop up. First, the comparison is completely invalid - what you are seeing is a huge difference in reporting standards, not in the numbers of comparable crimes actually happening. Second, if it were true it would be saying the opposite of what you want it to. If there were so many more violent assaults in the UK, why are there so many more murders in the USA? Why is the firearm murder rate alone in the USA so much higher than the total murder rate in the UK? If the citizenry of the UK were that much more violent in general than their US counterparts, what possible reason apart from the pervasive gun culture of the USA could there be for US citizens committing so, so many more murders? You think no-one can argue with that? What rock have you been living under? Draw the Venn diagram and see how much overlap there is between the 'no gun control!' and the 'cut benefits and health services!' groups. Spoiler alert - it's massive.
  5. He'll announce on Twitter that he's running, and his lawyers will just argue that he was only joking, and you can't believe anything he says on Twitter. Then he'll go back on Twitter and say no, he's absolutely definitely running and that's an official announcement from the office of the former POTUS and his lawyers will say 'see, that Donald he's such a kidder!'
  6. Ha that’s great. “I believe most of those fraudulent accounts were a sad attempt to circumvent our advertising network,” Parler CEO John Matze said. So Parler wasn’t concerned their users were getting scammed, only that Parler wasn’t getting its cut of the ad dollars. At least they’re holding true to current Republican values.
  7. Who is building what case? Oh yes. Trump's deep state minions are indeed running for cover because all of their attempts to fraudulently steal the election from Joe Biden have failed. RWM lying.
  8. Wow. A guy being paid a quarter of a million dollars to investigate voter fraud, who claims to have carried out an extensive investigation and surveillance, which leads him to hijack an air conditioning repair truck which turned out to be full of air conditioning repair tools. Leaving aside that this guy needs to go to prison for quite some time and his victim needs to get every penny of that fee and more - at what point does the wider Republican take ownership of this insanity and tell Trump to stop, tell their constituents there was no fraud and tell them that Joe Biden is not just the reported winner but the legitimate winner?
  9. It’s not an important date. It’s a ceremonial procedure. Nothing will happen that isn’t already set in concrete by the laws of the land.
  10. Amazing. I know the Republican party long ago abandoned any pretence at principles beyond 'fuck you, I got mine' but the layer cake of hypocrisy here is incredible. Anyone who supports this supports the federal government annihilating states' rights. Anyone who supports this supports an unelected deep state trying to sabotage the democratically elected government. Anyone who supports this supports allowing an insider class of political elites to overrule the decisions of ordinary working people and deny them any say in how the country is governed. Real core conservative values there.
  11. Funny that the Republican's argue against the popular vote by claiming the country would end up doing whatever California wants. Yet now they're demanding the entire nationwide electoral college vote should be decided by whatever Texas wants.
  12. Lazy people was actually your comment, not Skydekker's. Skydekker is clearly talking about people who still support the Republicans.
  13. How do you get from people who support republican racism for banal reasons to people needing to actively oppose it?
  14. There is no path provided by the Constitution that allows States to overturn the choice their own citizens made at the ballot box when State law says that choice has to be respected. I know you want to overturn US democracy in favour of having a small class of the political elite make those choices for you, but it's not going to happen. There's nothing to enjoy in the attempted overthrow of a previously stable democracy.
  15. So you're saying the DNC rigged their own primaries to choose Clinton because they wanted her to be President even though she obviously wouldn't win, then rigged their primares to choose Biden because they didn't want him to win, even though he obviously would?

    THE Vaccine

Australia just abandoned their vaccine because, during testing, something happened. But that’s ok right? You’d have known beforehand that we should test the Australian vaccine because it wasn’t right, and we shouldn’t test the US vaccine because it was right. That’s how it works, yeah?
  17. OK. SO why do you think the entire DNC wanted to lose the election?
  18. I don't know. How many have won after losing any 3 states?

    John Hopkins

Easy. By the standards of the time there were already compelling arguments that had convinced the nation as a whole that slavery was wrong. Confederate generals made the active decision to join a rebellion against the nation in order to preserve slavery despite having access to all of the prevailing thought that showed slavery to be evil. Hopkins on the other hand (if the above info is correct) had slaves as a result of living in his time but made the active decision to oppose the institution of slavery and call for its abolition.
  20. "I remember saying to a Republican strategist a few days later that never before had we covered somebody where I'll be sitting on a chair and they'll point to the chair and say, "That's a table," and insist on it, insist on it and insist on it."
  21. Well, he hates muslims but he also hates snitches. Muslims who don't want to be snitches? It's a toss up.
  22. The case – Tanzin v Tanvir — involved three Muslim men who said their religious-freedom rights were violated when FBI agents tried to use the no-fly list to force them into becoming informants. Ouch.

    THE Vaccine

Yeah, totally. In future we should just test the stuff we know won’t work and not test the stuff we know will work. That makes complete sense and is not fatally flawed in any way.
  24. Yes - he's moved the date up so the supreme court can tell the Trump team to fuck off in time for Pennsylvania's result to be made safe from congressional meddling. When you start talking about what happens if the SC overturns multiple states' results you are not being a messenger, you are being a fantasist.
