  1. You’re mistaken. Trump, Cruz, Hawley and the rest of them may have tried to steal the power of your vote, but they failed. Your vote is intact.
  2. When the question is 'America's greatest wound.' There is no doubt in my mind that Bush did far more damage to the world as a whole. I fully expect the repercussions from his crusade to be a dominant factor in the geopolitics of Iraq, Syria and the wider middle east for the rest of my life.
  3. Ah dude you're like at least a week too late to be first. Marjorie Taylor Green, Representative from (did you even need to guess) Georgia started writing impeachment articles against him as soon as Trump got his.
  4. What part of ‘that wasn’t your entire sentence’ eludes you?
  5. Also, as Zombie just pointed out, the ‘my best friend was black’ thing genuinely does not mean a person isn’t racist. It’s not even a suggestion that you’re lying about it, it’s that the two things can equally exist in the same person. The excellent documentarian Louis Theroux once went to spend time with the most prominent modern day leader of the pro-apartheid Boer nationalist movement in SA, and this guy’s best friend in the world was the black butler who had worked for him for 30 years. And that fully coexisted in his mind alongside his outspoken belief that black people were inferior to whites to the extent that desegregating the population was the worst mistake SA ever made. So even overt racists can fully justify in their minds that the individual people they know are exceptions to the class of people to which they belong.
  6. Did you not notice he called you a racist because you were denying systemic racism? (Which you absolutely are, even though your entire life experience anecdote confirms it.) Even the last sentence of that post shows the same thing. To suggest that anyone could fix systemic racism in 100 days? How naive are you? How insulting to the lived experience of millions of your countrymen are you?
  7. That’s an odd one. Simply planning the rally would be incredibly difficult to tie to prosecutable criminality. Even if they were running the Capitol tours for future rioters that Democrats are alleging I think successful prosecution would still be extremely unlikely. OTOH if evidence can be found to show that they did feel the need for a pardon and asked for one, that should surely be grounds enough for immediate ethics committee hearing and for them to face a vote on expulsion from the house.
  8. You've based your assessment of whether systemic racism exists on the life experiences of you, a white guy? Figures. Even so, did you never stop to think that it was odd that seemingly every black guy you met in a position of authority in the military, college and business was exceptionally good? Did you never wonder if it meant that to reach those positions as a black guy they more often needed to be exceptionally good, while all the other white guys around them could have made it by just being good enough?
  9. I see, so you're saying there are in fact other reasons to create lots of posts than nerves being hit. Congratulations on thoroughly refuting your own claim.
  10. Excatly. You are loosing (sic) the argument because you are just a troll. That's just the nature of a discussion forum. When you post something that is so manifestly wrong in such a large number of ways, you get a large number of replies because everyone who wants to can point out a unique way in which you've fucked up. But hell, even if we accepted your logic don't you have a larger number of posts in this thread than any other individual? Surely, since you have posted so much in opposition to the other people commenting, it must mean that they've really hit your nerves, yes?
  11. Since the article posted in the OP makes it crystal clear that no-one yet knows what the basis for the charges against Snyder is or what evidence they have, how do you expect anyone to be able to make this comparison? I guess you're just going down the typical right wing route of being guided by emotion instead of information.
  12. Sure, if you rephrase it to take out all the bits where he denigrates liberals then the article doesn't denigrate liberals. What an astute observation.
  13. This is actually a perfect example of how unreasonable and intellectually dishonest you are. Your fundamental claim in the vaccination development was that Warp Speed payment guarantees and huge early payments allowed the vaccine to be mass produced much faster than it otherwise would have been. It then turned out that the first mass supplier of the vaccine did not have a payment guarantee if it had failed trials, nor were they paid for it ahead of delivery. While they did ultimately get paid through the Warp Speed program it's kinda irrelevant at that point since the government would have had to have bought it through some payment channel. Essentially you were completely wrong in principle but correct on one technicality, and as per usual you're desperately clinging to that technicality like Jack on the edge of Rose's raft.
  14. Another reason he’s so enthralled with Trump - they’re both enthusiastic members of the cancel culture.
  15. That might just be the most pig ignorant thing I’ve ever read on here. How is a President of a federal republic supposed to be able to fix systemic racism at all levels from community on up in 8 years anyway? Not to mention that the things they did do that actually worked, like consent decrees for blatantly racist, corrupt and disfunctional PDs were blasted by people like you for being big government overreach. Oh hang in, maybe this is the most ignorant thing I’ve ever read. It’s really tricky to choose between the two! No, it doesn’t make his point. The teacher stridently insisting that 2+2=4 does not make the point of the idiot child who insists 2+2 may as well =5 because maths is all a liberal construct based on fear and mushy feelings anyway.
  16. How can you not be saying that? Even if that were true one would be an idiot protecting others and one would be an idiot recklessly endangering others. Come on Brent, you can do it, stop blindly following Crenshaw's conclusion and admit the exceedingly obvious fact that one of those two is clearly behaving more sensibly than the other.
  17. It was so wierd I didn't even notice that the point of the story was that Ron voted for Trump because he wanted him get rid of all the 'coons.
  18. So you agree the person who wears a mask all the time is making a more rational choice than the person who doesn't wear one at all. You'd better send a letter to Mr Crenshaw telling him to stop being a dick.
  19. I get your point, but I really don't think it is her in that picture.
  20. And yet this thread only exists because you posted an entire screed judging them and finding their entire political philosophy to be deficient simply because they are wearing masks in that park. Trump, the biggest PC cancel culture leader out there, has just spent 4 years proving it's what righties do.
  21. Explain what? What's wrong with it? If they're not hurting anyone by doing that you can take your PC bullshit and shove it. I don;t think anyone here or there cares about conforming to what you deem to be socially acceptable behaviour.
  22. The pure numbers are irrelevant. A President could pardon or commute the sentences of everyone currently in prison solely because of draconian marijuana sentencing rules and he'd both be the most widespread user of the pardon power and be fully morally justified. Trump could have remained the most infrequent user of the pardon power and still been the worst abuser of it, for the sheer number of personal and political allies he has pardoned, not to mention unrepetant murderers and violent criminals who were guilty of horrific crimes and whose clemency requests circumvented any normal vetting by the office designed for that purpose.
  23. How do your videos from people who were there show that it was really Antifa breaking into the building? The whole point would be that they were pretending to be Trump supporters, right? So where are your videos and how do they show that it wasn't really a bunch of Trump supporters?
  24. If they're dummies but you still can't defend against anything they say... see if you can complete that thought.
