  1. Noting that change happens is not the same thing as noting that change happens for a good reason.
  2. Which is ironic given that so much of modern conservatism is rooted in absolute denial of reality and logic.
  3. How does boosting a set of ideas that aren’t strong enough to compete in the marketplace on their own help more people access the marketplace?
  4. 'More folks' is a non-sequitur. In fact Twitter's user base is projected to shrink over the next few years and nothing Elon is doing seems likely to reverse that. What you're actually saying is that you're in favour of artificial manipulation of the markets.
  5. So to be clear - your problem with the previous Twitter administration is that they didn't play favourites enough?
  6. Is 'collusion' a named crime that someone can be charged with? It's like you just make stuff up whenever you're talking.
  7. I’m surprised you’ve never heard of Paul Manafort. He’s quite famous.
  8. And exonerating people is really ridiculously difficult, even with cast iron evidence.
  9. And yet you so reliably turn up with all the major conservative talking points. You were quoting Trump almost word for word on the Pelosi break in. How do you think that happens?
  10. Because again - this is the most pressing concern that immediately springs to mind when someone mentions that LGBT people really aren’t over represented on TV. Right.
  11. Read to me like she was talking about a sentencing decision, life in prison or death row. Although that doesn’t really make sense.
  12. Again, this is very common in modern films too.
  13. Is this not just a limited theatrical release of something that was always intended to be a streaming product?
  14. Um….. You think that’s just a thing with old movies??
  15. I think the fact that the thing you say was happening wasn’t actually happening in the case being discussed isn’t exactly a loophole - it’s just you being flat out wrong.
  16. Hmmm, what had Elon done that’s outside of the official rule book? Well, running a poll on whether certain accounts should be banned or not and making censorship decisions based on the result? Don’t think I read about that procedure in your link.
  17. Ah, right yes, that is a slight misrepresentation from the article. If you follow the 1000 starship link there’s a little video snip that clarifies it. He’s saying two separate things - one is to have Starships launching 3 times a day all year, the other is to send 1000 Starships to Mars in every biennial window. They’re both still completely insane on their own though, so doesn’t really make much difference!
  18. He certainly does, but I’m pretty sure you’ve misremembered or misread something there.
  19. I’m just wondering why LGBT representation on TV got you to this with literally no steps in between.
  20. Also (as I understand it) the lack of soot buildup meaning the engines will theoretically be able to be turned around and relaunched much more quickly with much less work than Merlins. Which is probably a much bigger concern for the foreseeable future.
  21. Pretty much no-one is purely anything. We’re all vague.
  22. Oh my god, how dare those asshole lawyers try and stop innocent people from being executed. How on earth do those bastards sleep at night? Here’s an uncomfortable thought, the worst crimes with the most pressure to ‘solve’ are the most likely to have some poor sap railroaded into making a false confession, or convicted based on an overheard ‘confession’ passed on by a jailhouse snitch in exchange for early release. Hell, imagine how many real murderers might have been caught if the asshole lefty lawyers were listened to and the police and prosecutors stopped focusing on sending down their chosen stooge and actually looked for the perpetrator.
  23. What was Elonjet doing? What were the journalists doing?
  24. You have a problem with gay characters on TV because it might lead to kids being confused into becoming gay? If you had seen gay people on tv while growing up, would you be gay now?
