  1. I wonder if that’s what was going on behind the scenes for those days of silence before he indicated to Brazil’s SC that he’d be stepping aside. Whether he was canvassing for support among military, police and regional government leaders to see if he could mount a successful power grab. Or he might just have been sitting in his palace throwing remotes at the TVs and sulking.
  2. No. I have thoughts on how far down the Alex Jones rabbit hole you have to be to think this was all faked, but you don’t want to hear them.
  3. “I am running Twitter for the benefit of humanity… so give me money!”
  4. It really illustrates the grotesque absurdity of trickle down economics. Trickle down tells us that any problems with the economy are the result of rich people not having enough money, and if we help them accumulate more then when they do have enough they’ll use it in ways that benefit everyone else. Yet here we have a man who has more money than any person in history has ever had before threatening mass layoffs and jacked up consumer prices… because he’s not making enough money.
  5. In 2018? In 2019? At least you’re admitting that price doesn’t drive demand for oil and Brentonomics is pure muppetry.
  6. In Brazil Bolsonaro continually trumpeted the ‘Order and Progress’ slogan of their flag, and his supporters say they love him because he brought order to the country. Now gangs of Bolsonarista truckers are blocking hundreds of Brazilian motorways in protest (some with flaming barricades), the Bolsonarista head of highway police isn’t doing anything about it, other protesters are blocking airports, government buildings and judicial buildings…. all in the name of order.
  7. You said price drives demand. If the price is low people buy way more, more than enough to offset the profit margin. So why has the entire oil industry made twice as much money this year when prices are 25% higher on average? Why does the oil industry making twice as much money this year as last year, and making slightly less money this quarter than last quarter come down to market and management, if Exxon alone making slightly more this quarter proves that low prices are good for oil companies? And even though I know you’re just trolling, what do you achieve by making yourself look so clueless?
  8. Don't you get tired of making yourself look like a clown just to support your ideology? Exxon was slightly up, but the whole of the industry was slightly down. Is there a reason you can explain why Exxon counts and no other oil company counts? Is there a reason why last quarter counts but last year doesn't? Having just watched Truss and Kwarteng blow up a G7 economy in the space of a few weeks by promoting ideology over reality it's fascinating to see the same blind fanaticism in you.
  9. By the way, here's a graph of oil companies' profits, see if you can spot what happens in Q3 this year as gas prices start to go down. And here's what BP have to say BP has revealed that underlying profits more than doubled [year on year] over the past quarter. The London-listed oil giant reported that underlying replacement cost profits - a measure preferred by BP - surged to 8.2 billion US dollars (£7.1 billion), compared with 3.3 billion dollars (£2.9 billion) a year earlier. It was significantly ahead of the 6.1 billion dollars (£5.3 billion) expected by market analysts. Nevertheless, BP said profits were weaker than the previous quarter after a dip in average oil price. I think you're going to have to march into the boardroom and explain why Brentonomics says they're wrong.
  10. Twice as much as last year when it was... remind me again? Are you seriously gonna keep sitting there, staring reality in the face and telling it that it's wrong?
  11. What about proving you wrong on the Pelosi dude being a lefty? What about proving you wrong on oil companies making more money from lower prices?
  12. Ooh, y'know that 'causing' is a tricky word. Is it causing inflation everywhere else too? Now I'm quite sure you've lost track of this one (for obvious reasons), but please remind me if high prices were supposed to mean oil companies making more money or less money?
  13. He was, and the worst thing he did back then was get naked in the street. Then he got sucked into the world of right wing conspiracy theories spread by mainstream Republican politicians and look what happened. Thanks for highlighting where the danger lies.
  14. Dude, it's like you're not even trying anymore.
  15. The suspect had a roll of tape, white rope, a second hammer and zip ties in his possession when he was arrested, the justice department said. He had planned to hold Mrs Pelosi hostage and was going to break "her kneecaps" if she "lied" to him, according to court documents. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-63435454 Male prostitutes are into some kinky shit these days, I guess.
  16. Unless it's mostly selection bias and it's the type of people who want to keep a guns at home who are more likely to be dangerous. Maybe you end up with a Catch 22 kinda situation where you should be allowed to buy a gun but only as a gift for someone who doesn't want it.
  17. I just said I liked some paintings. I have no idea why that annoyed him so much.
  18. Crikey, memorising every work in every museum is a high bar! But thinking that works of art are absurd and the artist a hack simply because he doesn't personally enjoy them... I'm not sure I can think of much that's more pretentious than that.
  19. You've posted more than I have lately. If you want to share what's upsetting you maybe we can help?
  20. Keep scrambling comrade, keep scrambling.
  21. If you look at the real Minnesota data that Bill provided, vs the inaccurate data that you lied about, there is an enormous difference between boosted and not vaccinated death rate. Whether it qualifies as 'nearly every' is simply a subjective judgement. Obviously you didn't feel it was clear that he was lying or you wouldn't have felt the need to include a far older statement based on out of date information.
  22. Because not every study studies every thing. That would simply result in the same obfuscation and distraction that you're currently attempting. You already have the overview. If it is as simple as being killed is a bad thing and being saved is a good thing then having a gun in the home is a bad thing. Unless there's a qualitative difference between being killed by someone you know vs someone you don't.
  23. Eventually everything American gets exported to the UK, and because Sunak was appointed by Tory MPs instead of the whole country he's had to do a series of dirty deals with the far right of his party in exchange for their support. So now we have an MP who voted to keep abortion illegal in NI, wants protestors to be able to march up to the doors of abortion clinics, wants the time limit on abortions in the UK to be drastically cut and doesn't want women to get any post abortion care... being appointed Minister for Women.
