  1. I just talked to one of the VT Skydiving Club members, he says that all of the jumpers from there are ok. He is a slacker student and was supposed to be in class at the building where the shooting was this am Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
  2. http://www.adameve.com/Vibrators/Bullets-and-Eggs-Vibrators/sp-teaser-tip-bullet-Vibrators-10879.aspx Here's an egg. A bunch of girlfriends gave one to me as a wedding present, along with a big box of other toys. It is the best invention EVER. I have since given one (not the same one!) as gifts to other friends. They have all appreciated the gift. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
  3. Congrats on graduating grad school! CT is so pretty, must be a beautiful place to jump
  4. I'm just as dissappointed as everyone else that it's not BOB The egg is the greatest invention known to woman kind
  5. My husband's farts!!! Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
  6. Frankly, I'm jealous of anyone who has the time and money to make 800 jumps in a year! Is he aware of his surroundings? A generally safe jumper? Make decent judgement calls? Flying a canopy that suits his skill level? Is he a good flyer? I honestly don't see a problem with someone with that many jumps in so short of a time being a coach and flying video. It may even make him a good coach, since his first jump was relatively recent... it is fresh in his mind exactly what it feels like to be a new jumper and the psychological aspects that go along with that. I think every jumper in the sky has a lot to learn... there's always SOMETHING we don't know and can learn to do better regardless of jump numbers. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
  7. Pelt Head Boogie!!! July 13-15 Chambersburg PA
  8. Nope, I don't think that there is a reason for a pack job price to have the same inflation rate as jump ticket costs. All the expenses with running a DZ have increased with time (legal fees, insurances, plane maintanance, gear expenses, fuel prices....). A DZO needs to raise their prices (jump tickets and other prices) to cover the cost of overhead increase, plus make a living. Packers have no real overhead, so only need to deal with increased cost of living. Do you really think a packer, with a rigging ticket or not, has the time to 'inspect wear points' on the rig? Hell no! You are paying a packer to shove your main in a bag, not to inspect or maintain your gear. That's why it scares me that so few people make any effort to know their own gear, pack it themselves occasionally, and maintain their own gear. That doesn't mean that we aren't looking at your gear when we pack it, we do. But it isn't any substitute for a full actual inspection and maintanance. There are very good packers without riggers' tickets and very crappy packers with riggers' tickets. I don't think a riggers' ticket defines the quality of a packer. I didn't somehow miraculously turn into a better or more conscientous packer the day I passed the riggers' practical. The two other packers I work with don't have tickets and I'd trust either of them completely, both are extremely good, detail oriented, and care. That's why I quite happily sign off as supervising rigger for them. Any packer that worries solely about the $5 isn't worth paying to pack. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
  9. Nope, not just a guy thing, I do it too. Not all the time, but why not? It is sterile anyway so not a health hazard. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda

  12. Just don't go to Deland for a tatt... the girl made a mess of the smaller one I got on my arm. That's why the phoneix is on my arm instead of my shoulder... I'm using it as a cover up
  13. Leaving your skin ink-free is a permanent choice too I've had my dragon for 6 years and even though I'm not the same person I was then, it's still meaningful to me and I'm glad I did it. My arm has been mulling around in my head for a few years, it's a Phoenix, and by it's very definition is all about change and re-birth. So as I change as a person and grow, it's still something that is meaningful. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
  14. Go to Hess, they have an extra caffinated coffee Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
  15. Is there a reason why I should preserve my skin in an ink-free manner so it looks good when I'm shrivelling away my last days of life in a nursing home or something? 90 year old skin looks like crap whether there's ink on it or not
  16. Dunkin Donuts coffee is infinitely better than that burned tasting crap Starbucks serves. I have my 32 oz coffee vat full and right next to me, would you like some? Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
  17. I agree with you there too. Numbers are great, but are not always indicative of real life function and individual variation. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda

As long as it's not a broken bottle and they're enjoying themselves, why not? Especially if they are clucking in the process. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
  20. I agree with you about BMI, but it's a tool, a place to start, and as good as there is right now until some better tool comes up that can be objectively defined. It's kinda like what line you read on an eye chart tells basically nothing about your vision, it's just a number the doc throws in the chart so there's something there to document change should it occur. Unfortunately, it's the only objective tool I have to use, so go with it. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
  21. I do think slapstick is hilarious, Loved the Naked Gun movies. But that doesn't make you closed-minded. My PMs with you always seem to indicate you are far from it... You're easily one of the few DZ.commers I'd love to meet in person!! Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda

Damn that mental image made me laugh. Post video Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
  23. He is right though.... packers do not need to have a riggers' ticket. They just need to be working under direct supervision of a rigger if they don't hold a ticket. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
  24. Talk to RyanTurner on here. He's the Chambersburg Mr. Bill Whore. He even gives out t-shirts "I survived a Mr. Bill with Ryan Turner" to all of his partners. He's had some good ones and some interesting ones! Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
  25. Good post. Honestly, I have no idea if I'm infected or not. I've never had a cold sore, neither has my husband, but as you pointed out, that doesn't mean we don't have it. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
