I took a look at the site, but I sure don't buy it's theme. Our educational system has problems, but I find it difficult to believe it is part of secret plot to keep the huddled masses from going anywhere in life. Is that what you believe? A plot, no nothing that overt. Just a lack of caring about the problem in any meaninful way. A typo means Bush only cares about the rich? No just funny that a sight about education would have a typo that is that obvious. "Truth is tough. Damn I feel like a REAL whinner now. Unfortunately I only get to the DZ once a month and I was lucky enough to walk off. Wasn't until two days later that I finally hit the doctors. Good luck and lots of vibes! "Truth is tough. start here http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/reports/no-child-left-behind.html and then go here http://nochildleft.com/ And we will just ignore this little problem at the .gov URL "It doesnt have to be this way." Notice the missing apostrophe? "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes

Why not? Being a moderator means keeping the peace and maintaining order in the forums, at which Quade does a fine job. The fact that he has a partisan political perspective has nothing to do with moderating, as long as he stays within the rules. Amen "Truth is tough. Well I can sympathize. Crunched part of my foot July 5th and am just now getting back to a decent walk. Don’t know how your injuries compare, only offering sympathy. "Truth is tough. Pick a weekend and I'll make an excuse. BTW my son is a student at UNL so if your O is an Omaha that is another thing we have in common. Lived there for three years. better weather than Texas. Then there is where I disagree. While the Democrat party rarely truly follows through I believe the core philosophy is for the common person. The Republican party on the other hand is only in favor of the successful. "Truth is tough. I think we have a connection here "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes

Executive order can certainly effect a lot of things like getting us out of Iraq, although I suspect that will still be a long slow process. But it can't really impact the big picture of American society. I recall a quote attributed to Kennedy that indicated how amazed he was that things he said needed to be done, and were purely bureaucratic and administrative matters, that never changed because they disappeared in to the maze of the bureaucracy. Did anyone else do a search on their own last name? This is wierd. A huge majority of McKee's who are making contributions are making them to Democrats. I am sure my parents won't approve but I find that weird. I would have expected a 50/50 split. "Truth is tough. Keep in mind there is congress to deal with. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes

I live in Texas, work in Austin our beloved capitol. I have a series of stickers on my truck. On the political side of the truck I have a Texas flag, a terrorist hunting permit, "regime change begins at home" and a "Geroge W. Bush is a punk-ass chump" one. When I first put the GWB sticker up I got people pulling up along side and flipping me off, actual written notes like "GWB can kick your ass" put up in peoples windows, a lot of dirty looks and people speeding off. I got some, but fewer, questions about where could the sticker be purchased. At work one day I parked in an isolated spot and some one keyed the sticker. Both sides have disappeared now. Partially that could be that I travel the same route all of the time but it is a 45 mile long route one way and I go at slightly varying times of day. I really think that it demonstrates that people are beginning to think about how important this November is and what a long term impact it could have on the country. Kicking GWB out probably has a smaller impact because if Kerry turns out to be a looser then we change things again in four years. If GWB wins I belive it sets a tone that will last far more than four years. Even if Democrats win in 2008 it will be a far different candidate, unless GWb really screws the pooch. In that case you will see a massive swing to the left. So my not so humble opinion is that a Kerry win means slow leftward swing bringing us back to a more moderate postion. Bush win in the short term means right rudder for sure and maybe a long term push in that direction as long as Iraq doens't go to hell or we invade yet another country. If that happens I think in 2008 it will be 180 degree turn. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes

Clearly flawless was a bad choice of words. How about believe he is almost always correct? How many Bush supportes believe GWB is almost always correct? How many believe he has the countries best interest at heart and not the best interests of his cronies instead? "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes

Vietnam Veterans of Florida State Coalition Bold added. I can't find an original source for this but see similar numbers presented several places. Sounds like our "greatest generation" was made up mostly of draftees. Now how a modern day draftee would act vs. one from my fathers generation is a different matter. "Truth is tough. I think he meant where did the reaction come from. Somehow he didn't get the link between his statement about Clinton having people killed (Vince Foster rumors remember) and thousands of Iraqis truly killed by actions of the US president. edited for clarity "Truth is tough. I wasn't meaning to imply that 30 jumps was a lot, only that not knowing the brand name was not as critical as knowing something about the handling of the particular rig. Frankly I could swear that the name on the board where the rentals are listed was Sabre but at this point that is neither here nor there. "10 second rule: No toggle input for the last 10 seconds on your landing approach before you touch ground" That is exactly where I screwed up. I was so focused on bringing it down towards the target I forgot about needing room to flair at the end. Fortunately when I realized that I didn't then let up on the risers and go in to a dive. I was thinking a little. Finally saw the ortho yesterday and he said nothing broken, part of the ovoid (maybe that was the bone name) was crunched, no torn ligiments, mild sprain of the ankle. When I feel comfortable walking and jumping up and down I can start jumping again. It feels good, ouch, it feels good, ouch

But it was a female mentioned in the article so at least one thinks it is a good idea. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
