  3. Wasn't knocked out, got to watch the TV while they did it. Funny the only channel on at the time looked like one of those medical reality shows with a light following a fleshy tunnel. Made for interesting viewing! Don't worry you'll live through it
  4. Now why was 'nice' in quotations? Things that make you go "Hmmmmmm....." Makes one imagine that ladyskydiver is thinking of a camera and a tripod and bear rug in front of a fireplace.... "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

  7. Okay I am going to get executed by the male team for this but... You, skymama, don't need to spend much - just wrap yourself up in a big (or little!) bow and get under the tree on Christmas Eve. He being thankful will probably spend a lot "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  8. I was talking with Gord White last night at the Calgary Parachute Club Chirstmas get together. As of this moment Frenchy is in Rockyview Hospital here in Calgary recovering from a prostrate operation. Gord didn't think that Frenchy would make it down to Lake Wales this year for the first time in a long time. Apparently his trailer got hit with the hurricane and combine that with his health, well you know how it goes. When he gets out of hospital he will be returning to his home in a senior's complex in Crossfield, Alberta. Apparently he did make a jump this past spring so for a 79 year old guy, he doing pretty good. "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  9. BERLIN (Reuters) - Germans prefer money to sex, a new survey for Playboy magazine shows. Asked whether next year they would prefer more money, more regular sex or extra free time, 62 percent of the 1,000 Germans polled opted for cash, compared with just six percent choosing sex. Twenty-six percent plumped for free time. The full survey results will be published Wednesday in the German edition of Playboy for January. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=573&ncid=757&e=3&u=/nm/20041208/od_nm/odd_germany_sex_dc "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  10. MINNEAPOLIS - A naked man was bit in the genitals by a police dog while being arrested for running nude and entering homes in a Minneapolis neighborhood. The man was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. According to police reports, a police canine unit found the nude suspect shortly after noon Tuesday in a house on the 5400 block of Park Avenue South. While the officer was ordering the suspect out of the house, the suspect began hitting him, police said. The dog, which was still leashed, bit the suspect to protect the officer. Officer Ron Reier, a department spokesman, said police dogs are trained to bite if their partner is attacked. However, dogs are not trained to bite in the groin area. Reier said the dog likely just jumped and bit the man, who was moving around at the time. "The dog did what the dog is trained to do, and that is protect his handler," Reier said. After the man was bit, he continued to attack officers and police used a stun gun before eventually restraining him, police said. The dog was removed from street duty while the incident is being reviewed, and the suspect is in police custody, Reier said. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20041209/ap_on_fe_st/naked_man_k9_bite&e=1 "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

  13. I had several recommendations to get a GoCrazy suit and so I made the decision to try one. Turned out to be a great decision. The quality is fabulous, and being made by a group as experienced as these people it was nice to get their input on how my suit should be made to suit me, and the way I fly, best.
  14. Steve by the look on your face I am sure you were saying... " all three of your girl friends want to come over and do what?" "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  15. Yes today I lurk.... need to get my ass in gear though... have fun with Flight Sim. I do, although I've never tried the Twin Otter mod. "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

  18. I don't know no stinking answers! Planes and pilots are like cabs and cab drivers. They just get me to where I want to get out. I think what really gets those big things in the air is MAGIC. It just doesn't make sense that such a big thing with a couple of fans on the front and some guy with a hangover at the controls gets into the air! 19. This is probably another case of a beautiful woman turned into a stalker. It's just too bad that she's had to resort to searching for members that never post. Could she have run through all of the real skydivers so soon? I don't remember her ever stalking me! 20. My favorite picture of "Twin Otters" "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  21. I was able, BARELY ABLE, to get into my old jumpsuit. My 16 year old son started jumping this year and he is now wearing it. The amazing thing I can, just barely again, get into my old Brand X! Brought it out in September and I can now match my 110 lbs girl friend's fall rate. Closets are obviously very hard on jumpsuits and its plain to me that they cause the shrinkage! Be warned young jumpers!!! Do not put your jumpsuits into closets!!! Jumpsuits shrink in closets!!! 22. This is what you get when there's NO HOCKEY!!! "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  23. 17 years ago I did the same thing. A year ago I came back after the divorce. I hope that things work out with your family but also know that if you do end up coming back someday, the sport and the people are still here. Though the faces and the gear changed a lot, I was still welcome, and you will be too! "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  24. I found the picture in the photo section but I don't know how to find out who took it so that you can get an enlargement http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/gallery/imageFolio.cgi?direct=Photo_Submissions/Skysurfing&img= "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  25. I can relate! I was out for 16 years, came back about 1 year ago and have made about 100 jumps since coming back. Had to refresh my gear this year, the old crap was just not the same. I suggest that the canopy shrunk over the years because I refuse to admit that my increased girth had anything to do with it.
