  1. In my experience a student that wants to jump often needs push to get on loads or maybe I should say be very direct. Obviously I wasn't there so I don't know how you presented to manifest, but sometimes patience is not a virtue and its the squeaky wheel that gets the grease. There is a difference between letting manifest know you are there and walking up and saying "When can I get on a load with my instructor?". If they don't schedule your jump then asking "when should I check back?" and being there on time to check back is good so you can say "Well you said I should check back at this time, so when can I get on a load?" (Be nice always - people like nice people!) I'm not faulting manifest - it ain't an easy job. But I know people that come out and hang at the dropzone and don't make many jumps and they are happy this way. You need to differentiate yourself from the people that hang out and make sure they know you're eager. Get in their faces (in a nice way) and they'll get you on a load.

Okay I just read the recipe and now I have to agree with Roysplaything. "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  3. I think its a tie in terms of annoying but I am much more disgusted by the owner. So shallow! So when the accessory goes out of fashion what will this caring person do with the rat dog? I can think of things that I would do with the owner! "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  4. In many places AADs are becoming mandatory but this creates a problem for those with multiple rigs. So why not make the expensive part, the part with the brains, so it could be moved between rigs. This would require the AAD to have a separate pouch on the outside of container and change the way the connection to the cutter is routed. Sure placing the device outside of the reserve pack tray may make it more susceptible to damage so it may have to be built tougher and the connection to the cutter may have to be better engineered to withstand lots of attaching/detaching, but on the other hand the display and on/off switch could be incorporated into the main unit. It sure would make it easier for those with multiple rigs to be able to use an AAD with any rig they have. Feel free to shoot holes in this idea - I'm a firm believer that to have any good ideas, you have to have lots of ideas and this is only one. So what do you think? 15. You might want to post this in a more appropriate forum. Many experienced jumpers never look at INtroductions and Greetings. By example, this is the first time I've looked at this forum in more than two months. Just was extra bored and came to look at the newbies. 21. Here's the link http://www.aerodyne-int.com/download/reservesoftlinks.pdf This is what it says: ---------------------------------- AERODYNE RESERVE CANOPY SOFT LINKS Many customers ask if they can use the Aerodyne soft links in combination with other reserves, such as the Tempo. The answer is yes. The Aerodyne reserve soft link, commercial part number C148510000 and technical part number P1487-01 has been tested and received a TSO C23d approval as a separate component. Consequently appropriately licensed parachute technicians can legally assemble the Aerodyne reserve soft link in combination with other TSO-ed parachute components. Aerodyne received the TSO approval of the reserve soft link P1487-01 by letter from the US Federal Aviation Administration on 17 December 2002.
