  1. The Paralog software that the data loads into from the Neptune does have the ability to switch between TAS and SAS when looking at the graphs. "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  2. "Another way to keep the short man down" sounds redundant.... aren't they already down?
  3. Scared me for a second there.... "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  4. Damn you're gonna have to come north so I can get my name on the list, of course there snow here now Or perhaps I could come south - furthest south I've ever skydived is Lost Prairie
  5. well its kinda both... the switch seems goofy and the new name well... let's just say you and I are probably too old for "orino".... imagine "Ianorino" I'm just guessing that this is why this was posted this forum rather than Bon Fire But hey, whatever floats your boat... attention spans in dz.com are short - probably in a couple of days we won't have any memory of whatever your name used to be
  6. Sure didn't take long to get to SC Watching this thread was like watching an accident about to happen... cars racing towards each other, tires(tyres for the Brits) squealing, just waiting for the big bang and the sound of broken glass. 7. Seems goofy to me!!!! "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  8. You might want to start reading the thread from this point... There's a new thing from a SkyRide employee http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1919358#1919358 Apparently they are just trying to do business in the "real" world, their employees have bill to pay too and they feel hurt when negative things are said. 9. According to the video clip that I linked in my last post and to which you responded, no one from SkyRide management had returned the call of the reporter after he pointed out that the location he was referred to would not accept SkyRide certificates. Has anyone returned his call as of yet? I ask this question because of the numerous BBB reports (links can be found in this thread to the reports) that indicate no response form SkyRide when problems are brought to their attention. I just want to know if in the course of changing the direction of SkyRide answering complaints will part of the solution. 10. dammit.... wasn't this in the peoples's republic of Canada? How'd that seal pup get a hold of that illegal weapon? BAN ALL GUNS!!! It was probably smuggled in from the USA. That's who the PM like to blame for his problems. "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  11. I really like words with silent first letters like k-nife so of course just seeing the word p-terodactyl makes me smile. "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  12. Hey, whats even funnier about this thread is that some of those that didn't think it was funny were also those that congratulated someone in another thread for the killing of a defenceless deer. How about a recipe for NEWFOUNDLAND FLIPPER PIE !!! 4 seal flippers 1 L water 500 ml soda 125 ml fat pork, diced 1 cup milk 2 onoins, chopped 5 ml salt 60 ml flour 250 ml cold water 5 ml Worcestershire sauce Soak flippers in 1 L of water and soda. Trim off excess fat. dry flippers and dip in seasoned flour. Brown in pork fat. Add onions and make a gravy of flour, water, and sauce. Pour over flippers. Cover and bake at 160o C for 2-3 hours. Make a pastry and cover the flippers. Bake at 220oC for 30 minutes. Serves 6-8. Hmmmm... GOOD!!! 15. We probably can't, but maybe we take the idea of Safety Day and find a way to persuade people into a more formal review of their EPS on a regular basis. Some riggers do this by asking people to go through things and dump their reserve prior to a repack, mine does and I like it. 16. Well, at least I don't think they burn them any more, although I may be wrong here... I wonder if it would be televised, perhaps one of those HBO things that you have to pay extra to watch... Yep... I'd pay money to watch Bush burn. Might have to finally go for HDTV to get a real good look. 19. Some dogs are more prone to violence. Period. I'm not saying all pits are bad. And obviously, a prudent owner can minimize the risk. But they, and similar breeds, have been branded for a reason. They do not have the same chance of going berserk on your neighbors as say, a Golden Retriever... They have a greater chance. Period. It's called Evolution in the hands of human beings. -We took chickens and made them unable to fly due to the excessively large breasts we wished to breed them for. -Cattle does no look at all the same as when we first started breeding it for meat. -It is said that Calcium in Broccoli is down to less then 50% of what it was in 1975 due to it's being bred for appearance (larger, greener) over the years, rather then it's nutritional content. Is it so hard to beleive/accept that the dogs which were bred to be violent... are? Not at all. Typically the ones bred for violence are more powerful so I go back to my last statement... "Some breeds are more powerful so when one of those animals makes a mistake, the damage is more severe." I don't think that my statement is at odds with your opinion. 23. Right, but how much EP training did she recieve after her FJC? Absolutely it does. My only point is this incident highlights possible issues in training. If she simply didn't listen, didn't care, etc, then it had nothing to do with training. If she simply froze, then it had nothing to do with training. I don't think she froze, since she did cutaway and was waiting on the RSL. This means that she was aware of the problem and did take action and was aware of the RSL. If she had froze, I don't think she would have pulled the cutaway handle. It appears to me that she misunderstood the function of the RSL and how it should (or really, shouldn't) affect her EP's. Derek We'll never know who is right. "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
