  1. Those pictures are painful to look at. It makes me wonder if it was really worth moving to Texas or not. I haven't skiied since I left the NY area in early 2001. Skiing used to be what I considered my passion. I moved to Texas, mainly because of a transfer from work, but also keeping in mind that I would be able to skydive all year round. Still after not skiing for this long and seeing pictures of ski areas, I start to wonder if it was worth it. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.
  2. It's all in fun. Take the quiz and play along! I am confused. I didn't realize a quiz was involved. but when I click on that link nothing made sense. It was all in foreign languages except for tha last one that was in German and even there I couldn't follow what it was all about. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.
  3. You apparently know more about it than me. All I know is he was James Bond for atleast one movie and I hadn't heard of another one after him. But it would make sense if they didn't renew his contract, after all the guy looks pathetic. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.
  4. LOL...looks like he can take us both out. I am sorry but I just feel the need to respond to this. I can't stand this guy and for the lights of me, I can not understand why they decided to pick him for the new James Bond. Hell! I can make a much better James Bond. He has tiny arms, legs and chest. Yet he appears with that stupid grin on his face like he thinks he is hot. I think he is so small that he looks like a tall woman. But apparently some women out there seem to think differently. Now, just to stay on the intended topic. I don't have a dream date. For years I always though Cameron Diaz was the greatest. But recently just before the election, she made some idiotic leftist statements. I don't even remember what they were, but those statements took her from supermodel to dumb ditz in my mind. So I lost total attraction. Christina Appelgate is somebody I drooled over through the late 80's up until the mid 90's. But she looks old now. I have always thought Tanya Roberts was oh so hot, but she is almost old enough to be my mother and oh so old now. I still respect how she has maintained her appearance though. Like I said before I guess I don't have a dream date. I like to keep with reality. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.
  5. Clearly, Stairway to heaven If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.
  6. The waist line is usually a pretty clear indication of bodyfat levels, so that should work well. I have been wearing my 31"'s for the past week and will buy a couple of 32's and probably one 33" pair today. If the 33's get too tight I will use that as an indication that I probably have gone too far. But as long and I keep working out hard, I doubt even at 230 I will need to go larger than 33. Still you never know until you try. For that matter I may even have a hard time gaining weight. I have never made it a point to do this before. In the past whenever I have heard a skinny guy whining about not being able to gain weight, I have been left baffled. It will really suck if I finally understand their struggle. I had planned to eat 4500 calories daily starting the new year but so far I haven't been able to get past 3500. Oh don't get me wrong in that past I have had no problem eating 4500 calories worth of crap (saturated fats, simple sugars, cholesterol, etc). But eating 4500 quality calories is a different story, much more difficult to do. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. 7. Current days weight @ 11-12% bodyfat: 210lbs {95Kg} Current goal for bulk wieght (2-3months) @ 13-15% between 220 and 230 (100-104Kg) Longterm goal (6-7, months) 210-215 {95-97Kg} @ 8% (competition weight) I won't right all the specific measurements that go along with that but there are. As it is I have already put a lot in writing. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.
  8. This brings up a good point, however, that you would have some confusion as to what I meant. The concept of the smaller canopy producing higher performance at the same WL as a larger canopy should be common knowledge among licensed skydivers. ------------------------------------------------------ Not that I really care to go back and forth here, but if you're going to carry on you need to at least be accurate. That statement was false. Its actually the contrary. The same wingloading on a larger canopy will yield higher performance, as you will move at approximately the same speed but still have more overall lift with a slower stall speed. Perhaps what you meant to say was that there is more danger in the same wingloading on a smaller canopy because the shorter lines make it more twitching and the stall speed is higher. That would be accurate. Cheers, If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.
  9. Actually normal really just means like most. Unfortunately most people are pathetic. If I could take a regular cut pair of Levis and have it fit my waist properly without being extremely tight on the quad area, then I wouldn't leave the squat machine alone until that changed. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.
  10. yeah but those aren't cut like the levis 560's with the extra large quad/thigh area. If I wear 550's (the relaxed fit) I can go down to 30's on a light day. With the 501's,505's (or whatever the regular fit ones are called) I can't go smaller than 33's. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.
  11. I love these stupid things, it ofcourse says that I am obese at 30.4. Me with the size 29 jeans, the smallest that they make, whatever. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.
  12. So I went to this bodybuilding competition last Friday and learned more than I expected. First of all, I thought since it was in the Dallas convention center, it was a local competition. It wasn’t. It was a national IFBB competition. So competitors came in from all over the country. It was an open competition, which meant anybody who payed the $125 entry fee can compete. (In my opinion that is the only fair way to hold any competition) However the results of that were surprising. I expected to see many unqualified competitors on stage and expected to have a good laugh from that. This was not the case. Instead, I left thinking it was a good thing I didn’t enter, because I would have been laughed off the stage. But this was not the disheartening revelation that I got from this event. After all this was a serious competition for which the competitors have been working very hard for years to excel in. I had this guy sitting to the right of me that I spoke with throughout the competition. He had been to many other competitions and himself was a local competitor. So he could answer a lot of my questions and had lots of other useful information to contribute. Had it not been for this him, I probably wouldn’t have noticed that a former Masters Mr. Olympia winner was sitting directly behind me, that the current Mr. Olympia himself Ronnie Coleman was standing within 20 feet of us along with Dexter Jackson, Chris Cormier, Ahmad Haider, King Kamali, Tom Prince, Dave Palumbo and some whose faces I recognized but don’t know by name. So that was all cool but here is the catch. Most of these guys competed in the Mr. Olympia competition in Las Vegas on Oct. 30 so they weren’t competing here. Well less than 3 weeks after the Mr. Olympia, they were all fat already. It turns out that these guys spend most of the year at 15-20% body fat and go on hardcore diets 16 weeks before the competition. Apparently even with all the steroids that they use, they can get big without piling on the fat. So that whole appearance is one big lie. I mean I can go so far as to accept their steroid use. (even though I would NEVER join in) I can go so far as to say, to them it’s worth it. For them, there is nothing more important than to have the “perfect body”. But the reality is that even with all this, they do not have the “perfect” body. What they have is this so called perfect body for the competition. All goes to shit the second that competition ends. They lay on the floor with their legs up against the wall before they are called in efforts to get the water out of there legs so that there legs appear tighter. I started working out because I wanted to push more weight, to have bigger arms, a bigger chest, legs and the whole nine. I constantly diet because all the size to me is meaningless without the definition. I always thought that this desire was something I had in common with professional bodybuilders. However it seems like this is not there position at all. It seems like they are driven by one sole desire, to look huge and ripped for 1 day, the day of the competition. Don't get me wrong I had fun, I just wish it was possible to be competitive while looking your best throughout the entire year. Oh and without the steroids, but I had already given up on that idea. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.
  13. sorry dude. my 1st offense in this forum. I'll try not to let it happen again. We spoke briefly about this at lunch but I really did not care to get into it. But since so much has been said and there appears to be so much interest, I will try to clarify some points. First of all my reserve is the largest possible reserve that fits in my container and Rigging Innovations will NOT, (believe me I checked), make a container for a main the size of mine and a larger reserve. Sun Path would not do it either and for that matter, nobody would. They all had the same answer, there is not enough people like you out there for it to be worth our while to make that design. Yes its not simple to give a little more space for the reserve. Some time last year I heard that Mirage was making this type of container but I never confirmed it with the company and I have not purchased a new container in almost three years anyway. Still the bottom line here is that I have landed the 113 reserve 3 times and one of those times was in no wind. No wind at my loading doesn't make for a pretty landing, but if you know what your doing it can definately be a safe one. (as mine have been). Also anybody who has jumped around me knows I always pull high so that I can deal with line twists or mal functions with plenty of time. I believe that this question too was asked. But we can;t forget about addressing this special waiver. Thats funny it can only make one wonder how do rumours such as this get started? I mean somebody had to start the rumour and being that I know I didn't sign any such waiver, well lets just say I find it funny. I mean I wouldn't mind signing such a waiver and I certainly wouldn't deny it if I had, it just simply never happened. And one more thing, in one of these messages Skyfest 2002 was mentioned as if there was supposedly some screw up that happened there. Lets just draw out a timeline. Today is the Nov.2,2004. I have about 200 jumps on my VX55 that I got on June/2003. My VX62 that I had before this, (that I put 200 jumps on also), I got on Jan/2003. Actually throughout all of 2002 and all the way back to Sept/2001 I had a VX70 and incase anybody cares, I put 500 jumps on that. Cheers, If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.
  14. Oh, I think you'd be suprised to learn that it works just like buying a degree off the internet. Just with a slightly higher price tag. .jim yeah but too bad Kerry having so so so much more money couldn't manage to buy a graduate degree. No he was a C student through his undergrad. And apparently he couldn't buy 500 plus hours of flying either. But mabye you can infrom us on this expensive auto pilot system Bush had in the planes he was flying. Or maybe you can just admit you haven't got a clue what you're saying. You're simply trying to bash Bush like all the other Koolaid drinking liberals.
  15. the feet and hands thing can have something to do with how much your eating. The only time in my life that I ever remember having cold feet and hands was when I was dieting hard core (under 2k calories a day) earlier this year. I remember that during this time I did a search and found that there was a definate cause and effect type of connection between starving yourself and having your hands a feet get cold. 16. thats not possible a good Democrat would never win the primary. As a matter of fact most of the good Democrats end up turning Republican when they realize their party is no good. Reagan, Giuliani, Zell Miller (well that hasn't happened yet, but I do see it happening.) If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. 17. For me its more about money. In the winter time I want to keep the house as cold as possible and wear sweatshirts and sweatpants instead. In the summertime I want that airconditioner working the least possible, I once got a $300 dollar electric bill in aug/2001. So whether I keep the house at 75,78,80 or 82, I just have to get used to it and I am prepared to do that. Women have more of a tendency to whine and complain about stuff that they should just accept as something that needs to be done. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. 18. 12 years... don't forget 17 UN resolutions. Besides there are clear traces of money going from the oil for food to swiss banks and then to from there to Al Queda. So I guess SH hated Al Queda but he funded them. Whatever... If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. 19. How about, I have a minimal amount of common sense and therefore know that Iraq was connected with Al Queda but I intend to deny it as long as I possibly can, just like I did the forged memos, because I am a far left ideologue and this is just what we do. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.
  20. And you know there are lots of people out there who believe today that FOX showed proof of an Iraq AQ connection because they heard those sound bites. Acutally if you would have watched it, you would have seen that the did show proof. They specifically said that the only reason this has not been out in the forefront was because it would negatively affective the intelligence that we (the U.S.) was currently working with. Still this is not by any means the first time I heard/read about the connection. But any idiot would have known it was there. Just like there will be connections with Saudi Arabia, Iran, Lybia and any place where there are radical Islamisists. The reason we went into Iraq was because there were no reasonable people in power there that we could deal with. In other words there were no good people in power. 12 years and 17 resolutions of crap that was not being enforced was enough. anyway I will leave you would something cut and pasted and a link to go read it for yourself. clicky Oil for Food and Terrorism In addition to propping up Saddam's regime and buying influence abroad, some Oil-for-Food revenues may have been diverted to funding terrorism. At least two shadowy entities--Asat Trust and al-Taqwa, which have been linked to al-Qaeda, Hamas, and other Islamic extremist organizations--profited from the Oil-for-Food program.9 Asat Trust, a firm that the U.S. and the U.N. later designated as a financial collaborator of al-Qaeda, was the legal representative of the Galp International Trading Establishment, a Liechtenstein-based subsidiary of Portugal's major oil company and one of Iraq's trading partners under the Oil-for-Food program after 1997. Al-Taqwa (awe of God) was a group of financial institutions set up in the 1980s by prominent members of the Muslim Brotherhood, an anti-Western Islamic organization founded in Egypt in 1928. According to a White House press release, al-Taqwa and its affiliates "raise, manage, invest, and distribute funds for al-Qaeda; provide terrorist supporters with internet service and secure telephone communications; and arrange for the shipment of weapons."10 A former FBI counterterrorism specialist also charges that al-Taqwa was used by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas and several North African terrorist groups affiliated with al-Qaeda.11 According to a senior government official, "Al-Taqwa was the recipient of illicit funds from Iraq's Oil for Food program," and the money flowed "through al-Taqwa to al-Qaeda."12 Another reported recipient of Oil-for-Food largesse was Delta Services, a now-defunct subsidiary of Delta Oil, a Saudi oil company that had close relations with the Taliban regime in Afghanistan. Delta Oil was one of the prime movers pushing for the building of a pipeline from oil-rich Central Asia across Afghanistan to Pakistan. This scheme collapsed after al-Qaeda bombed two U.S. embassies in East Africa in August 1998, provoking an American cruise missile strike on al-Qaeda training camps in Afghanistan. Another target of retaliation for the embassy bombings was the Al Shifa pharmaceutical plant in Khartoum, Sudan. Osama Bin Laden was suspected of owning at least part of the plant, although this has never been proven. However, according to Clinton Administration officials, the plant manager lived in a villa owned by bin Laden, and U.S. intelligence intercepted phone calls from the plant to the Iraqi official who ran Saddam Hussein's chemical weapons program. Before being destroyed, the Al Shifa plant also received a contract for $199,000 under the Oil-for-Food program.13 Although much remains unknown about the precise flow of money from the Oil-for-Food program, there is a disturbing pattern emerging that connects the U.N.-administered program to a number of entities that are known to support or are suspected of supporting terrorism. 21. [reply >I recall Rush Limbaugh calling the president's daughter "the White House dog" on the air. ------------------------------------- Ok I have seen you write this a few times and let it go but it needs correcting. This did not happen. I recall exactly what did happen. First of all this was not on the radio it was on his tv show. And there was a mix up with the taped footage, when he was talking about Chelsea, the first dog came on the screen. I rememeber Rush clearly appologizing for the mix-up. Rush deals with way to serious issues to get caught up on something so petty. Obviously it appears you got the report of this happening from some left-leaning source that is hard at work trying to discredit Rush. ================================ Anne Coulter publically wished that terrorists would blow up the NY Times building in NYC. A comment from her about the DNC: --------------------------------------------------- I hadn't heard about this and would probably bet its somewhat out of context. But if we think about it for a second the logic is not far fetched. Think about 9/11, how much clearer could that have been. Oh bye the way on the 9/11 report it is clearly stated that the food for oil money was being used to help fund Al Queda, that is the food for oil in IRAQ. Money has been traced from Iraq to swiss banks and then to Al Queda operatives. Ok before I drift too far here I will make my point. The connection is extremely clear, any idiot could have told you that they were in together because they were both radical Islamisists, but the New York times still continues to print all that crap trying to suggest there is no linkage whatsoever. Hell if national security is going to suffer because of those idiots and we (the U.S.) is going to get hit again, then I would rather the NY times get hit, than some innocent people who were not trying to undermine the war on terror all along. ================================= And who can forget O'Reilly screaming "Shut up! Shut up!" on the air at callers he disagrees with? The right has no more claim on civility than the left does. ---------------------------------------------------- You know I watch Bill O'Reilly almost every night and I have never seen that happen. He has people that he disagrees with on there pretty much everyday and this is not at all a common occurence. I will tell you what I have seen happen a FEW times. A few times there have been people who refuse to answer his question, who come in with a prepared speech of babble that has nothing to do with the subject matter. This as you know is called spinning or the most common tactic political debating for the left. Why? because they are wrong and they know it so rather than concede they just try to talk about something else. Many people hate to watch this and this was Bill O'reilly's basis for his show, to create a "no spin zone" where he would not allow people to do this on his show. I remember years ago telling a freind of mine that I wanted to write a book call answer the question I am asking you. My freind told me that will never work because that is not how people communicate. Well it turns out that it worked for O'reilly. O'reilly clearly states that to be the rule on his show. You can disagree all you want but you need to stick to the subject matter. I.E. you can go in there to spin, its the NO SPIN ZONE. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.
  22. Bill, we all know your a polite lefty. But you can't tell me that you need to look at 25 posters from Dz.com to get an idea of how righty's and lefty's act. Just think about the RNC compared to the DNC. (Whoppie Goldberg). Look at Madonna's history of rude comments, Cher, Rosie Odonald. Look at the arrest records that took place over the last DNC compared to the RNC convention. Come on Bill, its too obvious here. Its as hopeless of a battle as it was to try to defend those forged documents. Oh there is something else. Which side is so pathetic that they are resorting to forged documents to assinate the president's character. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass.
