i have a project that involves nation parks, specificaly Yosemite. The project probably does not involve BASE jumping, but it involves filming and possible 'air delievery' I would like some advice as to where i can find regulations on 'Air delivery', and Rock climbing regulations in the park. I understand a Filming permit is in order, and i have researched the 'Verticle Visions' links a bunch. is there a NPS law database out there? i searched, and i would think it would already be up on a thread, but could not find one. thanks.

YES. if you hit just right. I have botched exits (gainers and front glips) from about 50. no higher. if you know your screwed in the air, i tuck up. but that makes it more dangerous from higher, as you could even break your back and neck very easily. imnot good enough to time and change rotation speed to enter feet/head first if i have to on a bad botch. keep in mind, as we BASE hoppers know, 50' is not very different from 80' but 10' is MASSIVELY different from 40' from rope jumping, the greatest thing i have learned is that impact force(water hit speed/force[as well as deployment speed]) is NOT a function of distance fallen, but a function of TIME fallen, excluding things more that about 5 seconds. and if you have a 5 second fall into water, well, then you have other problems.

I have seen a few people mess up 80' drops and hit, no fatalities luckaly, but retarded people and tall shit does not mix. and yes, all drunk people are retards. the fun police are just that, they stop fun and they enjoy stopping fun. they love it when they can justify their fun-stopping with fatalities. if it was up to me, there would be 200' A's with a pool below outside of every bar in the US. the ladder sign to the top would read 'I dare you'. The gene pool needs some chlorine if you ask me. but fun police dont like chlorine.

it seems to me that the kid messed up and didnt do a good pre-jump setup and check. it also seems like he did a good job of bettering and landing the mal though. Im sure he learned from it.

I have learned a lot from both BASE and from Skydiving. There are inter-changable things in both. there is very- NON interchangable things in both. I dont really enjoy the people that are against one or the other. both sports have the biggest assholes i have ever seen, short of paragliding. personaly, i vote the boards stay the same. was the USPA paying people off to get rid of BASE jumpers? i know they dont control this board entirely, but they seem to have a big hand up the ass of all skydiving puppets out there. no offense meant to anyone in particular.

I have that EXACT same buckle in 5 places on my paragliding harness. it works really well, is pretty light weight, and gives good quick in-out performance when needed. but i think it should be built into one of the shoulders instead of in the middle of the chest strap. its not adjustable is it?

he is a moron. You can climb out of the north side easier and MUCH faster than you can the LZ side. I would know.

makes sense. the top 40% of the brake lines act at a higher angle to the slider. after it passes the brake cascade, I assume 90% of the driving force for slider movement is the outside lines from the tarps span.

what if it is a 97 cell 220^2' canopy? basicaly i am modifying a paraglider to be able to take the intial 70kt (ish) airspeed of a jump airplane. I have done some jumps on paragliders, only close to 0 airspeed dbags and rollovers though.
