Totally off topic, although that's the nature of this type of thread, but what's even more fun that kites in electrical storms is wingsuits in electrical storms. I have had this dream of getting dumped out of an otter or whatever just on the edge of a HUGE stratocumulous storm in its prime, up at 24,000'. then just cruising down the side of it, popping in and out, at sunset, im in the middle of the orange red glow, the earth below already in shadow. then landing in the rain, with 20mph microbursts. that would be sweet. of course, with andrews condition,

and kites are funnest in storms. electrical ones. snow is fun as well. just wind at all.

we are talking about andrew here man, dont hurt the kids feelings. some people have it harder than others. and Andrew, because of the nature of your, um, condition, I suggest you buy a kite. it sounds worthless, and boreing. but in all reality its quite fun. even the 5 dollar safeway plastic kites are worth a few hours of fun. take a girl with you, maybe she will get over your condition if you teach her to fly a kite.

looks like a gasket or flange cover for the blade pitch bearing is sliding out on the blade.

i was told they usualy dont take the best exit. a lot farther up north on the bridge. plenty of altitude to bounce and scatter down non-verticle cliff wall.

I stand corrected. again. I thought the price went up for the BlackJack, I ordered mine from CR in 2005 october and paid 1950.00ish. i thought it went up in 2006. to around 2400 for the same wing (all options)

symmetry can be taken in 2 different dimension though, if he is producing the same lift and drag on both sides, it should not matter if the movements are the same. he is better than us, right? of course, you could just pull super duper fast...then it doesnt matter.

"just climbing" and 80 meter tree. iy involves not only a bunch of paperwork as most old-groth trees are protected / in a NP. but the actualy act is impressive and time consuming. it involves pilot-lining, jugging, re-lining, repeated a lot. it might take a full day to summit a big tree. I did some tree work 'arborist' after HS, it was a bitch. colorado old growth trees are only 35 meters. 40 at most. of course, if someone climbs it first, they could just leave the line. then we jug. weee. jugging is soooo fun.

i have 3 jumps at potato on a non-composite flik. but like i said, i would be defending a flik if thats what i jump. i think.

full ZP is for people who think the whole topskin matters. all you need is the first 30% also, ZP makes for a larger pack volume (meaning less effiecient track/wingsuit) and more weight in canopy and rig size. so, if you only need the first 30%, thats all that goes into it. packing zp is harder and takes slightly longer, and is not as clean of a final packjob. its all personal preference. if i had a flick, i would be defending it, and i would be little bit richer. I like my Blackjack.

outperform? dude, think about it. skydiving is for fun. thats it. nothing more. BASE is for beauty, fun, being everywhere. and LANDING everywhere. and NOT CRASHING INTO SHIT. its just a different 'perform' and the BJ is the best. in my godly opinion.

how much can you spend? spectre's are really nice, a good mix if thats possible. but still, not trimmed or sized like BASE canopies. and definatly go for the Composite BlackJack.

i kinda wish there was a toung-out smiley that didnt not have a winking eye. but i agree, listening to the press's story of something like that should be taken smothered in Tabasco sauce, and a grain of salt.
