1. If you choose to reproduce when you cannot procure sufficient food for your children they're going to starve. I got condemned for pointing that out and saying that I feel it's wrong! I was told I was culturally insensitive! - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
2. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2058992#2058992 OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH the hypocrisy BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHHH And you're not a stalker why? Nice job. You can locate a post in which I said a short bit -- but was it in a deep, philosophical/political discussion, one in which everyone else was writing multi-paragraph posts to get at the heart of a matter? Everyone indulges in a little one-liner or two-liner now and then. Show me where kidwicked gets any deeper than that, though. In fact, show me an explanation how he is anything more than a troll -- he lists no jumps, no gear, no nothing. Why's he even here? - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
3. Oh, YOU again. I LONG ago stopped giving a shit what YOU think. All I remember is that you were a hit-and-run attack poster who never had anything of substance to say. I don't suppose you are capable of writing more than two lines or so to make a point come alive. So you take the cheap way out and just criticize and insult. If you ever decide to post anything that involves thought and insight, please PM me and give me a link to the thread. If I knew how to link to a specific post, I would show everyone watching how your typical post is just a useless personal attack that contributes nothing to a discussion. I may contribute controversial viewpoints to many of the threads I enter, but at least I am not just frivolously shooting my mouth off -- I'm taking the time to articulate my views and put them out for discussion. Once in a while, I actually get caught out and even admit to having been WRONG. Imagine that. Do YOU? - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
4. I tend to think violence and corruption breed poverty first. Then maybe the poverty reinforces the violence. Thats about all the insight that I have. Of course I have been drinking. So let me know if this makes any sense. If poverty always breeds violence and corruption, how do we explain rich people who murder and steal? Kenneth Lay -- was he POOR before he embezzled billions? Was O.J. Simpson POOR before he cut the throats of two innocent people? I mean, get real. If people are maladjusted, they will entitle themselves to power and wealth that they do not deserve. It's an issue of their mental state and their character and their moral sense, not an issue of whether they resent being poor and have had enough of it. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
5. And an update from our news correspondents in Russia: The Sakharov Museum and Public Center was leveled today by four coordinated suicide bomb blasts which destroyed the building, killed 175 people and maimed 214 others, and severely damaged numerous nearby buildings, as well as vehicles. Al Qaeda has claimed responsibility for the attack, which was directed at the museum for having the audacity to exercise freedom and criticize the homicidal predisposition of muslims around the world. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
6. It is true that the Israelis have used torture against Palestinians during their ages-long conflict with them. Aren't those who fight for the "good" side supposed to hold themselves above such tactics? Of course the Israelis are not attempting a GENOCIDE against them (as the Nazis did to the Jews), but it is not out of line to point out where they cross from being clearly good guys to using the tactics of the evil guys. They do that plenty. Some say it's justified but some say it's never justified. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
7. You also did not address the validity of using political cartoons to criticize and humorize something that a political group actually does. That is what political cartoons are for. So now everyone is saying that it's still okay to do it about gun owners (our local paper attempts to color them as ignorant yokels at every turn), Christians, Catholic priests, SUV owners... but not about certain groups -- like muslims, blacks, Jews, or gays. But of all of those, ONLY MUSLIMS are KNOWN to be the ones from whom we can 100% expect deadly attacks to come if we insult them. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
8. So you're saying that it's OK to say something that's offensive about Muslims because they get violent when they're pissed, but it's not OK to say something that's similarly offensive about blacks because they don't? That's weird. So if I say to you that gun owners are a bunch of cretins because it's likely to result in a long diatribe with lots of colorful language that's OK, but if I say that base jumpers are a bunch of cretins to TomAiello it's not OK because he'll just say "you're wrong, whatever" or something like that? Wendy W. What?! NO! What I was saying is that people are more afraid to say stuff against muslims because they know muslims are far more likely to turn MURDEROUS if they perceive an insult, than black people are, as a whole. How did you misconstrue my point so badly? - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
9. Would you kindly grow up? - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
10. Your comparison is apples-to-oranges. It is very clear that muslims attack, in the physically violent sense, when anyone insults them. Black people are not renowned for that in the way that muslims are. More to the point, the lampooning of mohammed is GERMANE because MUSLIMS ARE CONDUCTING FREQUENT VIOLENT ATTACKS ON INNOCENT PEOPLE. It is NOT the same as depicting blacks in a racially derogatory way. That is not political commentary -- not nearly like making a statement about how muslims are representing their religion around the world via violent acts. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
11. I never could see (hear?) the allure of Johnny Cash... He always struck me as a dude who should not have been singing. He really did not have a voice I thought was good for singing. Someone please explain why he was supposedly good, okay? I'll read it. May not agree with it, but I'll read it. - I happen to agree w/ you... maybe it was the timber of his voice. I dunno. Maybe his mystique, his persona. Dunno. I always thought the timbre of his voice was that of a funeral director, or the guy who says, "Now, please stand for out National Anthem..." I remember he did a song on a U2 album (Zooropa). I thought it was ABSURD -- not only the way he sung, but also the idea of putting some other dude onto a different band's album! It would be like having Olivia Newton-John sing a track on a Madonna album or something. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
12. That was and continues to be the REagonomics Golden Showers economy dont you just love being trickled down upon. HAHAHAHAHAHA! You're saying that EIGHT YEARS were not enough for Clinton to at least get the remedy going? LMFAO. Everything bad is the fault of Republicans. Everything good is to the credit of Democrats. And when Democrats fail to fix the things Republicans have done, despite having the Congress and the White House, you explain it how? We're waiting. You never make in-depth posts, Amazon. You just do cheap hit-and-run attacks, and they don't amount to squat since you never clarify your meaning or back up your assertions. Useless. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
13. Nice use of ultra-vague terms. "Have not seen an increase in our economy"... what exactly does that mean? Home values have increased, unemployment has decreased, stock market trading has increased, etc. Your only criterion seems to be whether the government's deficit has increased or decreased. That can be, and is, quite independent of whether the "economy" is doing well. All it means is that the government is spending more than it is taking it -- an imbalance of taxes to spending. It does not necessarily mean one way or another whether businesses or commerce or private individuals are thriving financially. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
14. We never had a surplus when Clinton was in office. We had chicanery that tried to manipulate the numbers to make it look like there was a surplus. Tell me something: If you have zero cash in the bank, and you own several houses, motor homes, yachts, and jewelry, if that stuff is all worth millions but no one will buy it from you to convert it to liquid cash, would you be able to go out and buy dinner or put your kid through school? With what money? The bursar's office doesn't accept motor homes as tuition payment. Clinton's administration tried to count as "budget surplus" the proceeds from the sale of all kinds of government holdings -- such as NY's Governor's Island. They calculated the value of it -- IF anyone were BUYING it -- at about $5B. Does that mean they should have listed $5B in the government's black column? NOPE. But they did, and they convinced a shitload of you fools that there was a "surplus." Now that someone's playing the numbers straight, it looks as though they spent a big ol' surplus... - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

16. Hear hear! It IS a travesty of justice that people who want only to be able to protect themselves are demonized because they wish to be legally allowed to carry weapons for that purpose. It seems that no matter how many people fall victim to murderous maniacs, some in our society will never see that victim disarmament is disastrous as social policy. If carrying weapons for defense were legal, not everyone would have to do so; but those who wanted to have the choice to do so (remember "choice," liberals? You loooove "choice" -- when it suits your political agenda) would have that choice. Chances are they would save the lives of some of the idiots who opt to be defenseless as some sort of bullshit pacifist statement. - - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
17. Gee, maybe it is because you say things like this: LOL! Oh, it's like the word "nigger/nigga" -- it's okay when they say it, but not if anyone else does. Gay people refer to themselves as "queer," in an activist sense, all the time! But now a "breeder" (their derogatory (?!) term for us) says it and it's a "hate word," eh? - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
18. Ah, I see where the problem occurred. My apologies. In my reply to NYFlyer, who was replying to Narcimund, I accidentally said, "WAS about the attacker," when I meant to say, "WASN'T about the attacker." Indeed, the rest of the referenced post should have made that clear. I was countermanding NWFlyer who was telling Narcimund he missed the point when he accused me of starting the thread to criticize the victims. I DID, CLEARLY, criticize the victims; but that was at a point when it seemed (from the reporting) that they had essentially run from the attacker leaving his first victims to suffer at his hands. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
19. Clearly different circumstances, that's what. One attack occurred in a LARGE postal facility, with a woman who came in shooting. The other attack occurred in what is likely a much more intimate setting, a neighborhood bar, and started out with impact weapons and only later escalated to gunfire. And yeah, from the way the story was reported (something that is not my fault) it really did seem like those who were not the immediate victims of the attack just ran and left the victims behind. What the fuck is your problem? I SAID that the post was about the victims and their not reacting adequately to the attack. Learn to fucking read, instead of attacking me for things YOU did not understand. Yeah, I said that before I was informed that some of them had in fact tried to fight off the attacker. After I learned that, I retracted my initial condemnation of them. Did you fail to read that post? - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
20. I am being serious. They committed a *crime* in Yemeni territory. It's up to Yemen to prosecute and punish them for that crime. Being the victim of that crime doesn't give us the "right" to trump the Yemeni government. Blues, Dave Well, MY point is that the U.S. -- the victim of their original crimes -- is justified to be angry as fuck that Yemen couldn't keep these shitpiles from escaping before they were executed. They were sentenced to death... Were they going to ever be executed? Does anyone have a single doubt that these criminals are going to resume anti-U.S. violence? - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
21. Yeah... I'm a guy who can cook, and my girlfriend is a really good cook, too. Now we cook together. In fact, the way I hit on her was, she was working in a health food grocery store and I was there to pick up ingredients for vegan chili. I asked her when she'd be working next, and I would bring her a sample of my very first ever batch of vegan chili (I usually make it with meat). She went for it, and loved the chili (it really was good, actually). I brought it to her work and we ate it at the cashier's counter.
22. Time, very moderate activity, and one of those heat pads that you put in the microwave for a couple of minutes. It has some sort of beads inside and gives off moist heat. Very soooooothing...
